I was impressed from the outset with Nelson and his professionalism. Not only did he and Cameron take time to show me the different options for faucets,, but they installed them well and explain to me how they functioned.

I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a competent and easy to work with plumbers. I found Nelson through a recommendation of a friend, and would not hesitate at all to recommend them to anyone who’s looking for an excellent plumber.

I'll never call another plumber in DC. Twice now Magnolia has come in after larger services were unable to solve our issues while still trying to charge us comical sums. Magnolia comes in and just immediately addresses the issue. If you get Pasquale you know you're in especially good hands. Exceptional service.

Magnolia has replaced my old high efficiency boiler with a new one. Installation was done by Oscar and his team. They did a perfect job - entangled spaghetti of old wires, transformers and relays, replacing them with one control board, took their time testing individual heating zones, demonstrated how information panel works and answered all my questions. I was also pleased with Sam, who drafted the initial contract, presenting the most economical option, which on one hand included replacement of old equipment that had to be replaced, but leaving “as-is” a significant part of existing piping which was in good condition.

Magnolia Plumbing starts their splendid service when their receptionist answers the phone — prompt attention to the problem; cordial, knowledgeable receptionists who clearly know which department can best serve the customer; rapidly-scheduled appointments; thorough description at site; competent repair.

If you have one of those older “charming” DC homes, an average plumber will not be able to solve your problem. Experienced, skilled individuals will be needed and this is where magnolia stands out from the rest. They know these DC homes well and like a navy seal, come in and get the job done. Don’t let the chaotic experience with their scheduler defer you.

Shout out to, Anthony Alfaro! Who is a professional at what he does. He communicated well, was respectful of my home and most importantly my time. He solved my issue efficiently on the first visit and discovered additional issues that had a great potential to be problematic in the future. He even cleaned up after the job was done, which I have found to be a rare trait with plumbers.

If Magnolia continues to hire this caliber of technicians then I will continue to use Magnolia and recommend you do as well.

The work on the trap for the pedestal sink was done very well by Steve and Duane. They were efficient and professional.

There was miscommunication between Steve and the schedulers, as well as the person who called me (Autero) to set up the work.

Autero was very polite, however he kept stating that Magnolia had done work on the pedestal sink when they had not. I asked Autero if he had a copy of the proposal Steve had sent me the prior week. He stated he did not, which I found odd. In fairness to him, it may be that Steve had not forwarded the proposal to Autero.

Autero then asked if I could call Steve, which I found totally unacceptable. I do not work for Magnolia. Autero and Steve do. I have had contact with Autero before and have always found him to be polite and professional, so the last call was out of the ordinary for his prior good service and assistance.

Your prices remain exorbitant.

I called for service for my heat pump and spoke with an engaged, personable rep who did some troubleshooting with me before offering a range of dates for a service call. I opted for a same-day call with a 3-hour window. Magnolia later called me during the window with an update on their tech’s ETA, which I appreciated. The tech, Fred M., later called me with a further update and some additional questions about my issues. When he arrived, Fred was very knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous, and he took the time to explain what he was encountering and doing as he worked. My issues were successfully addressed and I was very happy with Magnolia’s customer service and expertise.

I’ve worked with Magnolia companies since I bought my home in 2021, but this review is really for Oscar and Ryan. Oscar was the technician assigned to my AC unit issue this summer. He was respectful, knowledgeable, professional, and extremely easy to talk to. He comes across as both trustworthy and genuine. And Ryan was the account representative assigned to my account. She’s good-natured and easy to talk to, but perhaps most importantly, she’s excellent at following up on questions I had about the repair. Her drive to bring my problem to resolution made me feel like we were in good hands!

I’d highly recommend Magnolia due to the experience I had with these two individuals.

I was able to get an appointment quickly and the Tech Steven was absolutely excellent! Knowledgeable, friendly and very respectful. I will use Magnolia in the future and will recommend them.

Short version: Fred with Magnolia saved our boiler and avoided the exorbitant expense of a total replacement. They did what literally no other local HVAC company could do. Highly recommended.

Long version: We moved into a house and soon had nonstop problems with the mod-con boiler, which was only 10 years old. The company that had been servicing it for the prior owners, a major local HVAC business, was clueless and insisted we had to splurge on a total replacement. Other local HVAC companies didn't want to deal with it and also suggested replacement. Magnolia sent over Fred, who was very knowledgable about this type of boiler and willing to put in the hard work to get it working again. We now have reliable and efficient heat, for a fraction of the cost of replacing the system. Awesome.

We have a service contract with Magnolia. It includes routines maintenance checks. They sent a tech today -- Fred by name-- who was able to diagnose and explain a long standing problem. Also Explained the options for potential fixes and what they would cost. No upselling. Expert and Very professional service.

Magnolia Plumbing stands head and shoulders above other plumbing/HVAC firms — and I speak from personal experience after living in the DC-Metro area for 30+ years and having tried many of its competitors with disappointing results! The most recent Magnolia technician to service my home, Steve Osner Cherry, himself was exemplary, and that’s saying a lot since EVERY Magnolia technician whom I’ve ever had cause to call has been outstanding. Steve was prompt, professional, courteous, considerate of my property and just a real pleasure to work with. In mere minutes he was able to identify where a leak was coming from and immediately get to work on making the necessary repairs. All along the process he clearly explained what my options were to address the issue and how he intended to go about resolving the leak to prevent it from occurring in the future. He then took the extra step of not only providing the contact info. for a few other contractors to resolve the resulting water damage but also called them directly on my behalf and then lent me his phone so I could schedule an appointment with them. I can’t speak highly enough about Steve. He is a true asset to the Magnolia team!

When my heat stopped working as the days turned cold, technicians from two other (highly-rated) companies evaluated my HVAC system and were unable to diagnose the problem. The Magnolia technician identified the problem right away and we discussed the pros and cons of replacing only one part or the entire unit, which was already getting old and would very soon need to be replaced anyway. I decided to replace the entire HVAC unit, and the technician was back the next day to take care of it. I couldn't be happier with the professionalism and knowledge of the technician and the efficiency of service I received.

We had a leaking pipe in a very small crawl space in the basement of our home. The initial company we contacted said it would be impossible to fix the pipe from below and we would have to tear up our new bathroom to access the pipe. That’s when we called Magnolia. Plumber Gabby is the master of small spaces. She immediately was confident she could get into the crawl space area and fix the pipe. And she did, along with her assistant Brian. We are very grateful we called Magnolia and they were able to fix the issue without us having to redo our bathroom again!

The technician arrived on time, surveyed the situation and explained what was needed and why. He offered different solutions, explained the pros and cons of each and answered any questions I had. Once work began, he was efficient and finished the work within the timeframe promised.

On October 26 and 27th I had the pleasure of working with two of your Plumbers at a home in Washington DC. The first was a gentleman named Paris, who was on site to scope out the job and give me a proposal cost. Paris was extremely professional and courteous. He explained what was needed and did a great job acquiring the parts necessary for the next day's work. The following day a young female Plumber named Gabrielle Willis promptly showed up and did a tremendous job. The work had to be done in a difficult and confined space. Gabrielle was clean, organized and willing to demonstrate how the new leak sensing water shutoff functioned. I am grateful that I got the chance to work with both individuals.

The technicians came right on time and worked their tails off until absolutely everything was working correctly. They were kind, knowledgeable, hardworking, professional, and always kept me up to date. I am a very happy customer!
