McPherson Slough provides a combination of hiking, boating, and picnicking all in the same area. You can relax on the many shaded benches underneath the big trees while watching the lake, or simply walk next door to go on a hike at Horseshoe Trail. There's an easily accessible boat ramp for loading and unloading of boats. What makes this park unique is the multitude of hobbies you can do here. If you are looking to have an active day outside doing a variety of different things nature-wise, McPherson Slough is the place for you.

This is a beautiful park located next to the lake. It has paved trails and mountain bike trails with the maps posted at the trail head. There are many wild animals from deer to skunk, and many birds. There are picnic table, boat ramps, pavilion with ample parking, few potable restrooms and trash cans.

Terrific boat ramp and picnic park on lake Grapevine. There is a restroom out by the road and a public fishing pier. This entire cove is a NO WAKE zone so fellow boaters and waverunner riders please pay attention and save the speed for outside the buoys.
Be sure to pay the ramp fee as Grapevine has high enforcement via tickets and towing. Imagine coming back to that because you didn't pay to launch!
Grapevine does sell annual boat ramp launch permits good for all their parks.

1st time visiting the park and enjoyed it with the kiddos. There are no canopies or shades at the swimming beach so bring your own, but for $5 per vehicle you can't beat the park. There is also an inflatable floating park but that is additional to the park entrance, my guess is to ensure only those who really want to use it will pay for it as i coukd see it getting overcrowded if it was free.

This place was perfect for our cub scout camp. Plenty of shade cover from the trees and beautiful views of the water. The boys had a chance to do fishing, archery, nature hikes, crafts, bug observation, marble games, gaga ball etc. I highly recommend this park!

This is one of my favorite places on Grapevine Lake. It's a nice, tiny park like area with boat houses.

We always go for the little wooded trails tucked away, it's our little slice of nature away from sight of homes and people.
