I've only been a client of Kelly Hightowers for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. My previous "CPA" that I used for years for my business turned out NOT being a CPA at all. He was a go online and get certified to prepare taxes person only. All these years I'd thought my business was in good hands.

I'll be the first to say I can be hard to work with and not easy. Kelly however, understands just the right things to say because she knows how to read people and communicate with them. Wonderful people to deal with...

Unfortuantely, I had a negative experience with Ms. Hightower and staff and her inability to listen or empathize was disheartening. I requested an update from Ms. Hightower after uploading requested documents after waiting a week for a consultation. Ms. Hightower and her staff immediately was warm and welcoming after the google searches and reviews that I saw for me to contact her office. After a week, I asked for an update but was immediately met with disrespect and condescending tones from Ms. Hightower and staff. Ms. Hightower berated me over the phone and was overbearingly informing me of her “business and company filing deadlines.” I never asked her to hurry or give preferential treatment but respect as an individual and even informed her that I have traveled, served this country and should be given a level of respect as a person. She wasn’t empathetic to my situation, family or listening but wanted to inform that she is busy and when she gets to it it’ll be done right or correctly. I have no doubt that she is a professional within her practice but as a person even though she doesn’t know or met me, she was very rude and unkind.

It takes time to write reviews or speak about another person and hope whoever reaches out has a pleasant experience. I hope Fathers, Veterans and Civil Servants don’t have to be treated or passed along like that. We are in a sensitive time with the pandemic and world especially Veterans who feel mistreated by civilians or professionals outside of the military community. Providing a “discount” doesn’t show or give respect. You treated me and my family like we didn’t matter personally in how you and your staff communicated.

I am not expecting an apology or think anyone care but civility and respect isn’t hard and something I wish and pray for Ms. Hightower and Ms. Beth. I’m glad we had a mutual understanding and agreement to look for other servicing providers.
