JV's Downtown Bar and Grill

One of my all-time favorite places! Jeff Vogt’s food is a cut above - always well-prepared and plentiful. Their barbecue is some of the best in the St Louis metropolitan area!
Friendly place and outstanding food!

Great food, I got the pulled pork sandwich and also the chicken bacon wrap. Both very good! Called ahead and if I wouldn't have been early, it would be done at entrance. Great attitude there! Bartender Avery was very pleasant! Highly recommend them!

Downtown was busy but we had a relatively short wait for a table and were able to quickly get a cocktail while we waited. We had the cheddar cheese balls as a starter and they came out quickly and were delicious. I had the chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun with sweet potato fries and my husband had the Mackie burger and fries. Both were excellent. It was our server's first night and she did very well - she checked on us often and made sure we had drinks and anything else we needed.

One of my favorite places for a good cod fish sandwich. Three thick large pieces of cut cod on fresh rye bread.
The French fries were hot and crisp just the way I like them. Wish I had taken a picture of the plate.
I noticed they had a T-bone special that night but I could not pass on the cod.
Definitely a must stop when hungry or thirsty.

Went here on a Friday. Wasnt too crowded and the waitress Lauren was excellent.
We had the wings and buffalo rangoon as a an appetizer . Both were fantastic and came recommended . I see why
I had the Mackie burger . Very good and cooked perfectly.

Awesome food, they're super nice people too, ordered onion rings, pulled pork sliders, pretzels and the Firehouse burger and fries, would recommend every one of em, the burger was crazy good if you like spicy.

If you live in or around Waterloo, Illinois. You definitely need to check out JV's Downtown Bar and Grill great prices, great food, friendly staff, very clean. Keep up the great work.

This is what a bar & restaurant should be. Some of the best food in the area and all the drinks to go with it. The building it is in has a tremendous history dating back to before the Prohibition as well.

Love the food! Have not had a bad meal or experience in the 3 or so times I've eaten here.

Downtown Waterloo a Great area. Great little place.Clean. Good soup and burger and Royal Crown fountain cola. Owner was there. Very friendly. I will be back.

Loved everything about our stop in this place. Coming over from St. Louis, the wife and I decided to stop in. Great burgers, great people, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Not just your average bar food. Jeff in the back does some amazing things and has a great menu. I highly recommend stopping in when in the area.
