I have 5 young children and have been to many dentists offices over the years and this office by far is the best. Not only is every aspect of their practice child friendly and impeccably clean, their staff is always over the top kind to my children and I. Imagine how overwhelming it is for me to walk into an appointment with 5 children ready for all their cleanings and yet I’ve always been met with helping hands and kindness from staff. They truly are phenomenal, helping get each of my children individually settled while simultaneously reassuring me of the procedures happening that day. My three year old actually looks forward to his cleanings and getting to sit in the “special chair” with his “special sunglasses” on while watching a Disney movie. The staff truly make him feel confident and brave while getting his teeth cleaned bc Dr.Miller and her staff are so well trained. Take it from this mama, hands down the best dentist in the area. 10/10 recommend.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had to today! The whole staff at Lighthouse was amazing, but special shout-outs to Ms. Laynee, Watavia, Katie, & Dr Miller!

Ms. Laynee got us in at the earliest convenience and was so sweet about everything. As soon as we walked in, her spirit felt so welcoming and gentle.

My baby is not of fan of the dentist, but everyone was so patient and kind to her. Even with her squirming, Ms. Watavia never showed any frustration and kept talking my baby through the process!!

Dr. Miller finished quickly & Ms. Katie very thoroughly explained our next steps!

Most importantly, one of the first things that I noticed when I walked in was Scripture on the wall in the waiting room. It made me feel even more blessed to be in there. 10/10 recommend!

SN: They also accept Medicaid!! A big plus!

My kids saw the female dentist here (not sure if there is more than one) about a year ago. I couldn’t get them in anywhere else at the time. They tried to tell me to send them in by themselves (my daughter had just turned 2 never been to dentist before) which idc what the reason is, I know some do this, it sounds sketchy AF and would render my kids speechless and potentially victimized without an adult to help them—read: no way in hell. I insisted and came in. Dentist was extremely rude and didn’t even bother to make small talk. Told my kids her name and went to work looking in their mouths. For my son he sat in a chair. My daughter she just said leave her in my lap and she kind of ducked her backwards, looked for maybe 20 seconds and then sat her up said she’s fine. My daughter wasn’t kicking and screaming and was more or less calm, so there’s no reason she had to hurry. Waited 40 mins for her to come into the room for her to spend literally 4 minutes total in there. Have never had such a terrible dentist experience. If you aren’t a bubbly friendly person, DO NOT be a PEDIATRIC doctor of any kind!! Never went back.

I’m giving two stars instead of one because the women my son was seeing for the last couple of years was great. Today, I drove over 2 hours to get to this office and was told that my 8 year old couldn’t have his teeth cleaned because it would risk the health of the staff. He has a sore in the corner of his mouth. The dental hygienist and dentist claimed it was a cold sore and refused to clean his teeth. (If it’s even a cold sore. My sons lips have been chapped and I’m treating them but he’s 8 so doesn’t help that process.)) The male dentist went as far as to compare cold sores to the flu in level of danger. You can actually die from flu. Not cold sores. The dentist an also tried to claim that cold sores can be transferred through air. This is a lie. Close to 90% of the population carry the cold sore virus. They decided to deny the dental care that my child needs because of something so benign. I would expect for education from medical professionals. I explained I would not be returning and they didn’t seem to care about that either. There is a difference between acting entitled and standing up for yourself when being treated unethically.

Was told my daughter couldn’t come because of a missed appointment but stuff happens I think that’s crazy but I have no problem finding another dentist for my child.

Note says it all. They, being one of the only dentists in the area who accept Medicaid, told us we can no longer be seen at their office because I missed a 6month appointment they prescheduled for me. I very rarely if ever miss these appointments and was not aware that this one was coming up. I have been very busy and it had been 2 weeks since I missed it and I get this letter and have to scramble to find a new dentist. Prior to this happening their office was always extremely overcrowded and refused to see us once for being 10 minutes late. It hurts my heart my kids have seen this dentist their whole life and now we have to switch.

Very rude dentist assistant questioning me about my child not returning to get a tooth pull which they failed to make me aware of. She mentioned that i missed a appointment but could not tell me when the appointment was scheduled for. She seem to be way more concerned about the “ missed appointment” instead of actually taking care of the problem! I’m glad i keep records of everything and i keep every scheduled appointment. Instead of saying this could be “OUR” mistake she continued to argue! She finally said i was suppose to schedule the appointment. The day of my children’s last appointment i was told see you back in 6 months we scheduled the appointment and left. Never any word about scheduling to get a tooth removed. As i walked away i head the staff talking about me and the situation. I didn’t react bc my child tooth being pulled was way more important.

Took 2 of my kids in for a general checkup/cleaning. All started ok until they called my kids and another girl back. My kids are shy and timid and in a new environment like this did not want to go without me. I tell them that and the lady who called us back got nasty and said it was in the paperwork I signed that I can't go back. Then she takes the other girl back and leaves us without another word. I decide to wait since I drove 30 minutes to see them. Eventually they come back out for my kids and my kids still refuse to go without me, so they finally allow me back. My son (3) goes first. It goes ok. One of the assistants holds his arms and the dentist is able to check him out. Now for my daughter (5). It takes 2 girls to hold her down so she won't get up and the dentist can't get in her mouth to look. So they want to try and strap her down and start telling me they need me to sign a consent form for it. I refuse so then the dentist gets nasty with me saying if they can't strap her down they can't look at her teeth and make sure they are ok. At this point my daughter is terrified and wants nothing to do with the place. They didn't bother to try and ease her into the situation or talk with her or anything. So after getting a nasty lecture from the dentist we go. As we're walking out to checkout I hear one of the ladies that had been in there with us telling the receptionist all about my daughter and saying how her ears hurt from the screaming and how I'm bad because I won't let them strap my daughter down. We will not be going back and we will be finding another dentist for my kids. I do not recommend this place, especially if your kids are like mine. It was very unprofessional of them to be talking badly about us where we can hear and it was very rude of the dentist to treat me and my kids the way she did.

It was my toddlers first time at the dentist, he was of course squirming around, and the dentist had the nerve to grab him and angrily say in face “we are not going to do this today! Hold still!” I was so upset but I decided I would come to the next appointment to get everything he needed done. Well here comes his next appointment that I had to call out of work for and the receptionist didn’t put the appointment in the computer and had me come back the next morning causing me to call out of work again. Saying it’s no big deal. Rude and very unprofessional staff. I will never be back.
