What a wonderful coffee shop/bookstore! I had the cappuccino and cheesecake and my daughter had iced mocha latte. Everything was really good! The staff was so nice and they worked great as a team to get your order to you quickly. Great coffee and the cheesecake was fantastic! There is indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there are a variety of seating types - tables, sofa, comfy chairs. You can browse the books while you wait and of course buy any you want. Definitely will be back there!

What a find to still have a lovely coffee shop where you can sit on comfortable chairs and relax and here you can even pick up a and leaf through be it. Spent some time the other day sitting outside at a table working in the sun really relaxing. They also have wine for later in the day and they have really nice breakfast menu …very light though great music playing highly recommend this.

Great atmosphere with nice view. Many drinks options. I really like the shop’s decoration with books and other vintage items. Staffs are also friendly.
I got Macchiato with Mocha and it’s served with sparkling water & a piece of chocolate. Really tasty and nice coffee smell!

Updated: the Chai Latte is so good, better with hot so recommend it!

Amazing local spot great for studying or just hanging out. Love all the books available as well as the gluten free food options! Only fault is the lack of outlets so just charge your stuff ahead of time!

The vibes here are immaculate. It’s nice and cozy on the inside but their outdoor seating is my favorite. Don’t miss out on their bacon cheddar biscuit or cinnamon rolls. Their lavender latte is what I always get and it’s absolutely delicious every time. I’m a realtor and I like to grab some treats from here to take to clients or into the office too

Books, wine, coffee,pastries, people. All good things not necessarily in the order of importance. Coffee was good with free refills on the basics. Lots of seating with comfortable spaces. Busy but not crowded. Book selection was actually very nice and varied.

I love this place! It has my favorite iced chai latte out of all the local spots I have tried. The quiche is delicious and the wine selections are great. Definitely recommend going to a tasting to experiment and have good fun!
They had every book in a series I was reading except for one and the owner was able to order it for me. The publisher sent the wrong book cover, sending the more expensive copy but the owner honored the original price of the version I was initially trying to order. We spoke just on that occasion and he has not only remembered my name, greeting me as I come and go, but has made it a point to remember other names of people that go in and out of the doors. You can hear him greeting people like he's known them forever.
All of the people working make things run quick and smoothly. The atmosphere is comfy with several seating options, including indoor, outside on the front patio, the front yard, and the back patio. Parking is kind of always full but there's an empty lot across the street I've been able to use. I brought my dog here once to sit with me outside so I would say this is a pet friendly local coffee shop, bring waste bags just in case and enjoy!

Everything you want in a coffee shop… great seating and atmosphere, good coffee, pastries, parking on site, and friendly staff. This shop’s atmosphere includes shoppable books that are basically top sellers in the genre. Non-fiction coffee was for sale but I didn’t catch what they brewed. You can get your black coffee through drip, pour over, and French press. If you’re a flavored coffee/espresso drinker your typical options are here. Lots of community events happen here too. If I still lived in Auburn this coffee shop would be my daily stop or study spot.

I love Well Red! The service is impeccable. Employees are happy to answer questions and never make you feel like you’re wasting their time. The coffee and treats are delicious, and they have a huge variety of books. I’ve never had a bad experience here. It’s one of my favorite spots in Auburn!

This is the best locally owned coffee shop in Auburn and it shows considering how busy it always is. You can tell by how the tight parking lot is always full. Fortunately, there is a lot across the street you can park in that always has space, you just have to cross a somewhat busy street (Opelika Rd) to get to and from. It at least has a crosswalk with a button for a signal you can use, but we know how Auburn drivers can be.
Great selection of books, wine, pastries, and cafe drinks (coffees, teas, etc). They didn't have a book I wanted to try and the owner or manager was able to order it for me. He makes an effort to remember people's names, which gives it such a home-y feel. It has always been pretty much busy every time I go, but there are always several hard working people behind the counter so it never feels terrible waiting in a quickly moving line. They have lots of fun events throughout every week that I have on my to do list. Truly a local gem.

Wine Tasting! Arrived early to secure seats for our group of 4. Be sure to bring identification, they check! Awesome staff,they bring each wine out ,serve to all that are participating in the tasting, and repeat the process for each wine. This says a lot about the staff as the area is spread out with cozy seating areas indoors and out. Charcuterie was very good paired with the tasting as well. Large assortment of books,well divided into categories and labeled accordingly.

Absolutely amazing, cozy coffee house atmosphere in Auburn.

It is SO cute in here first of all. Second, they have such a fun selection of cook books, and fiction!! We had a blast browsing while we drank our coffee. And oh my goodness all the baristas were so happy and kind!

Great coffee shop. They have a nice selection of drinks and wonderful service. I came with my family and we had a great time drinking coffee and talking about some of the books they had in stocks.

Absolutely love this gem of a coffee shop. I feel like they have something for everyone. They have comfortable seating indoor and outdoor. AMAZING coffee. I tried the cheesecake and it was fantastic. Very beautiful selection of books to choose from. Highly recommend 10/10.

I’ve been to Well Red 3 times now and it’s been absolutely lovely each time! The baristas are wonderful— very knowledgeable and friendly. The cappuccino, chai latte, and matcha latte are the best I’ve had in Auburn. Authentic, not cloyingly sweet. Their pastries are delicious! The atmosphere is comfortable and calming.

I’m totally obsessed with this place. I came in while I was in Auburn for a work trip and couldn’t have been happier I stoped in. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Amazing selection of books and despite being a smaller space - I was excited that I was even able to pick up my book clubs book, despite it being an older book. The macchiato was great, and staff are so kind! I would LOVE something like this in Atlanta. Definitely will be back here next time i’m in Auburn!

A great place to spend a few hours, drinking a coffee or having a class of wine while reading a good book or chatting with an old friend. The coffee is excellent and so are the yummy treats. Go once and you will be back, I guarantee it!
