Angelika Pop-Up at Union Market

This is my new favorite theater. It's intimate and in my neighborhood, which makes it perfect for me. Definitely recommend it.

Every time I visit our DC office I have to visit this place. One of my favorite places in general. Unique, quaint, special. Such a great, independent theater to watch movies. The pop up design definitely makes up for, and adds something to the experience where they lack big multiplex amenities. Can't wait to go back again.

I was just hanging around town and wanted to see a movie and when I did a Google search, this ace was the closest and I'm happy it was.

What a cool little theater. I had no idea what to expect as I headed over there but when I walked in O found an atmosphere that reminded me of the movie houses that I used to go to in Germany. A good selection of food and drink, reasonable prices and 4 comfortable theaters. The ginger beer they had was fabulous.

The staff was really cool as well.

This is not your average movie theater, but it's also a great place to catch a film. Located near the north/backside of the Union Market district, this is not a purpose-built venue, but a redesigned warehouse space. Limited concessions and a decent beer/wine list are available on site. Tickets are competitive with (or lower than) other venues despite the independent vibe. They only have four screens, so don't expect everything to be available. I really appreciate their dedication to showing independent, foreign, or re-run films.

Angelika's is a great place to catch a good movie. It's a small theater but I love the retro movie posters and the fact that you can have a glass of wine or a brew with your popcorn or chili dog. Definitely a favorite theater of mine.

One of my favorite places in DC to watch movies. They have all of the top box office hits as well as different little niche film series. 10/10 would recommend.

Numerous past many stories that benefit sentient beings. Tom is also an Awsome manager to who is worth talking to if he’s working there. Many good qualities in how it unites the local community. Amazed by beauties and landscapes painting on screen remedies and medicines of the visuals a passage of a journey from the moment you sit down and the moment you get up. Benevolent activities that connect us to are shared humanity.

First time visiting this location. We went to see the Denzel Movie 3. We live nearby, so good to know this locations offers so much to the community. Scan QR code to sign up for notice.

Good ticket prices, beautiful ambiance, the sound system and quality is pretty awesome for a place like this. I will come every week!

So fun, it's still your basic theater, spotless,simple and so refined, I found this theater today, worth the drive from berryville, virginia.

Relaxed, small intimate theatre. Great place to stop in for a drink and a snack. We just watched a great movie, than had drinks in the lounge to debrief!

Great small theater to support and a must see if you go to union market. They also have cute (but a little pricey) things of Jeni’s ice cream at their concessions!

Great place for the independent style film world. It has that wonderful New York feel. An amazing event space all in one. Location. Employees were friendly and management is very professional with a personal touch. I highly recommend other seeing films at the theater, and or holding an event there.

Love this little hole in the wall theater. No frills but clean. Good films, affordable prices. Convenient to metro and downtown. Also who doesn’t love being able to buy an alcoholic beverage at the theatre.

Super cute little theater at Union Market, we ordered our tickets ahead of time on their website and they were really easy to pick up at the digital kiosk. The person running concessions was very kind, we asked if they had any disposable masks, to which they said they’d run out recently. But going above and beyond, they checked in the back and gave me a nice cloth mask like the employees were wearing!! I offered to pay for it but they just gave it to me free of charge. We then ordered snacks, I was super excited to see they had Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream (an amazing company that started in Columbus, Ohio that I hadn’t had since I was in college in Columbus), Bruce Cost ginger ale, and the popcorn…yum!!! You can tell they use real butter instead of butter flavored oil. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to see a movie and have a fun date night like we did :) great customer service, great snacks, great movie choices!!

My absolute favorite movie theater. The staff are so welcoming and it's got a great vibe to it. Alcohol is pricey but very high quality. Also you get a big bag of free popcorn on your birth month if you're a member!

Really great spot to catch lots of great visual content. Great little theater showing movies and documentaries that you should not miss! Enjoyed watching the latest Nat Geo Documentary wild life directed by Jimmy Chin and his wife Chai.

I love this theater. It's nice and low key, they have great drinks and snacks. This theater has never been crowded when I've been to see anything. The staff is super friendly too. My only complaint is that the seats are all at the same level so if there is someone talker than you sitting in front of you, it's hard to see past their head.

Fun, small theater with good selection of snacks/drinks. Cute for first date or causal movie night. Highly recommend!
