We went here because they were pretty much the only shop in 100 miles that had entry-level road bikes for average-height women. When we came in, the staff were really helpful in getting us set up for the test ride (even loaning my partner a bike so he could come with me). No one tried to upsell us and the whole interaction was easy and efficient. I would come back here for sure!

This is a long overdue review about the superb experience I had with the store manager, Chris, when I stopped by a couple of weekends ago. The shop was going to close in less than 15 minutes when I walked in with a request to change the tire. Chris quickly identified the issue and replaced the tire with the utmost speed and efficiency just before closing time, saving me both time and stress. I was able to enjoy my ride back home. I wanted to thank Chris again (he is someone who struck me as taking pride and ownership of his work) and also the Bicycle pro shop at Georgetown, you have now become my come-to store in the area. Looking forward to coming back and highly recommend it to the bike community!

Quaint little local bicycle shop on an incredibly busy Georgetown street with amazing people. The staff was incredibly understanding and helpful and the shop was willing to price match a bike from another DC bike store. Received it in about a week and they helped with all the adjustments. Felt incredibly welcomed especially considering I have very little knowledge about bikes!

Will be sticking with them for all my future bike needs :)

Great, genuine folks who were happy to help me check my bike after putting it together for traveling. They also helped me another time with shifting my handbags back into shape after a car hit me on the streets. AND they even filled up my bottle with ice cold water while I was there after a long warm ride.

Responsive, friendly, professional. I have used Pro Shop on and off over more than 10 years, and they seem almost consistently to do well on most parameters relevant for cycling aficionados. This includes a great a deal of patience explaining and researching options for spare parts, and rarely (if ever) trying to up-sell. I’ll keep coming back.

I always get quick and quality service from laidback professionals who are willing to take the time to explain the process. Even as a novice, the staff make me feel very comfortable in the space!

Last Saturday stopped by the shop to get the front tyre fixed. After a couple of miles the front tubeless Schwalbe had a pinched. Job was done perfectly. I was able to ride back to Old Town Alexandria, confident that the tyre will not be an issue. Thanks guys for the awesome friendly customer service and the great job fixing the tyre.

Yesterday, I biked to work only to realize that I had seriously wrecked my rear disc brake. I had to remove the pads just to make the bike operational. I was able to bike carefully without a rear brake to Bicycle Pro Shop. Despite it being the afternoon before Thanksgiving, their mechanic dropped everything he was doing to get my brake working again, install new pads, and get me on my way home. Otherwise I would have been stranded without a safe mode of transport. Amazing service and highly recommended.

Context: I know nothing about bikes, and I bought a build-your-own-bike kit and built my bike.
I came into Bicycle Pro Shop because I thought I needed a tune up as my brakes weren't working well. When I entered the store, the team was quick to greet me and help triage my issue. Instead of charging me a lot of money and holding onto my bike for a long time, the team informed me that my bike just needed a brake adjustment. They told me that they would be able to adjust the brakes for a third of the cost of a tune up, and have me out in 25 minutes. They also informed me that when I built my bike, I put the handle bars on upside down (whoops!), they fixed that issue, and helped me install a kickstand and a bell.
The staff was courteous, prompt, and incredibly helpful. I saw them help another customer choose out a new bike, and I was amazed out how great their customer service is.
Without a doubt I will always come back to Bicycle Pro Shop for all of my future bike purchases and servicing needs, and I encourage you to do the same!

The boys at Bicycle Pro Shop were good to me from day one. They've always been incredibly attentive to my bike and quick to resolve any issues I come in with. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and easy. Would certainly recommend to anyone who needs bike service.

This business is hands down the best bike shop I’ve been to. Bike shops are for the most part all pretty amazing so I feel like that is saying a lot. I had a bit of an experience with my gears and a long ride to get back to my car. Dave sprang into action and helped me immediately. Swapped out my 3 set gear shift in about ten minutes. The price was fair, the work was top notch and I even found fitting gloves which is rare for me.

There is a great selection of bikes and one particularly sweet one hanging up right by the entrance. It’s racing blue and one of the coolest looking bikes I’ve seen. Go check it out before I go back and buy it.

Original, purpose built, serves all, authentic bike shop. I tolerate Georgetown traffic to get my bikes here for service. That says it all!

I had a great experience with these guys yesterday. I stopped in because I kept getting a flat and suspected I was replacing my inner tube incorrectly and pinching it. They were super friendly and walked me through their technique for replacing it and fixed the tire free of charge. On top of that, they chased me down the block to return the box of tubes I had left on their counter on my way out. Awesome people working here.

Been biking every day in DC for about 6 years so been to most of the bike shops in town. This place is my favorite, family owned and operated.

This time went in with a flat and left with that fixed, new pedals, and a new lock faster, better done, and cheaper than any other shop in the city. Very honest service.

Dude who helped me had been working at the shop for >15 years!! So you know that also says something good about the place. I've never stuck to one job that long.

Only weird thing is they play classical music - this isn't the 1800s anymore! But hey can't knock em too much for that I enjoy my Dvorak as much as the next person, and they are in Georgetown

I picked up my bike yesterday and it was perfect. Staff was friendly and courteous. Got home, slapped the pedals on, and rode all afternoon and night! Loving the bike and setup.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. I will be purchasing all of my bikes from Bicycle Pro Shop and recommend them to anyone in the DMV area. I purchased a Giant Revolt from these guys for some long bicycle treks in South America. The initial purchase was fast and easy, but it was the follow-on service that really blew me away. My bike suffered significant damage during the trip, but Andre came through and saved the day. Not only did he work with the Giant rep to find the parts I needed - parts that were very hard to come by - he also went the extra mile to ship them to me in South America.
