Ave Maria Grotto

We stopped by on the way to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament to check out their gift shop and were pleasantly surprised! The gift shop had more items than we thought it would! This is a great place for religious items and resources! We left with a statue to place outside of our home and a few pieces for the inside as well! The Ave Maria Grotto is worth a trip in itself! We look forward to coming back and checking out the whole property soon!

What a fun experience. The details of these miniatures are just amazing. Well worth visiting. Doesn't take long to go through, maybe 30 - 40 minutes. There's even benches if you want to sit and reflect.

Absolutely gorgeous landmark with lots of history. Well worth driving to this place and taking a tour and reading about how it was built . They have a beautiful beautiful display during Christmas time and Easter is just stunning. We used to go to the morning sunrise service. There is also a gift shop. I would say that the little outdoor tour could be somewhat strenuous if you were trying to push a stroller or if you have knee or back problems but it’s definitely not a hiking trail. Just a nice little stroll ..absolutely gorgeous.. They even earned a spot on Cullmanopoly!

If you haven’t seen this you must go!! Most amazing work ever!! And the Christmas lights really set every thing off!!! Must visit!!!

It's definitely a worthy side trip even if you're not religious. The work and creativity that had to go into it was impressive. You can leisurely explore the area in just a couple of hours.

This was really cool. Very detailed work and it's amazing a guy just did this. Entry fee wasn't bad and it was a great experience. If your in the area it's worth a walk through!

This place has been on my Mother's must see list for many years. We finally got to see it this week. And, it was Amazing!!! The intricate details of each display and the peacefulness of the gardens were so worth the wait and time.

We took so many pictures, I can't even post them all. I highly recommend it to everyone, see it for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

This place is worth a visit if you are passing through or live nearby. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. The tour is a self guided walk so you can go at your own pace. It is NOT a modern attraction.

The grotto and surrounding grounds of St. Bernard are a relaxing getaway for anyone. The miniature replicas of famous places will fascinate children and adults alike. Take your time and read the brochure as you leisurely stroll along the shady winding path. Sit on a bench and relax. Take the time to admire the detail of the craftsmanship and let the kids try to pick out all the odd materials used to create the artistry; marbles, shells, jars, old flashlight parts, and more. The gift shop is nice with a lot of quality items. Don't forget to check out the other public areas around St. Bernard.

Wow! I'm so amazed that someone took so much time and spend so many of their days to make such an extraordinary beautiful work to look at! The replicas were down to the t. I loved it and so did my wife! Definitely a great place to take the kids or anyone that's any type of history buff.

Arrived only to have an hour left to explore this grotto, and I have to admit it was a beautiful site. The store staff was very amazing and friendly. Bought a loaf (Raisin) for $5, and it was delicious.

I would have loved to spend more time in the grotto. Amazing work. Loved all the miniatures churches.

First time visiting and loved it. Beautiful little garden! We enjoyed it very much. They also offer discount for first responders. Definitely recommend getting there early before it gets busy. Most likely will go back to visit. Have a camera ready because you will want memories from this place.

Beautiful and worth a drive if you are in Cullman.
