District hotel

This was exactly what I was looking for. Reasonable priced, 10 minute walk from everything I needed, and the staff members were great. The room was a good size, comfortable bed, and renovated bathroom. This is a quaint older building with charm. The only downside to that is the wifi wasn't great, but I was able to use my phone data.

Great value for price. Peaceful and quiet. Perfect location for anything downtown DC. If you’re just looking for a cheap and clean place to sleep and shower with a desk, and don’t care about any amenities or frills, this is for you. Front desk staff are very nice, and they do complimentary bag hold post-checkout for up to 24 hours.

There is a microwave in the lobby and vending machine with basic snacks and drinks on the 2nd floor.

For the price we paid: excellent!

Location is awesome, personal ist helpful and very friendly, our room was very small - but clean and we had everything we needed.

If you don’t need luxury and want to save money, this is the perfect hotel.

And it was quiet!

I am not very sure about the bad reviews or people expecting this hotel to be a Hilton hotel. I stayed here with my mom about three months ago. I had a very pleasant experience. First of all, the location is amazing and very close to everything by walking distance. The lady at the front desk was a very nice lady. The hotel has a fridge, free coffee and microwave on the first floor (common area). They let us check in early (at 11am) and didn't say anything or charged extra fees. The room was clean and was big, the bathroom was also very clean. The air conditioner wasn't turning on and the lady came to our room and helped us. It was quiet at night and I was able to sleep very comfortable. One night was kind of affordable taking into account that prices are high on that area (but we also went during a weekday). If I find the same price, I would stay here again!

Great hotel in a great location. Front Desk staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Cleaning staff were very professional and cleaned our room daily. The District is located conveniently to pretty any and all things a tourist like myself and my wife would want to see.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I can confidently say that it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I have to mention the super sweet Ethiopian girl called "Haron" she helped me so much like recommending nice restaurant near by , parking spot, bar, I can tell she is pretty familiar with the area. once I was not able order food through my phone and she let me use her phone so i can ordered, she was soo helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay in the area. The staff's commitment to excellence and attention to detail truly made my experience unforgettable. I can't wait to come back!

If you’re looking for a budget deal in DC this place is a good option. Our check in was easy and the Asian lady who helped us was very kind and accommodating. The rooms are a bit small and certainly older, but for the price it’s doable. Water pressure is great and the building is relatively quiet. There are number of great restaurants right around the corner and our bed was nice and comfortable. Checking out was also super easy. Overall, not a bad stay at all.

Visited 8 years ago just found it on the map... for the spot and cost good value remember. Wasn't the nicest place but a good location, people and place overall

Okay, my standards are low. So bear that in mind. I like the District Hotel. It's clean, historic and affordable. It's not luxury but it's not a hostel. My most recent room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom large and clean. Yes, I could hear the Kimpton property's outdoor bar until around midnight, but that's urban ambiance. This is an inexpensive (by DC standards) hotel and I'm sure I'm going to wish I hadn't published this... :)

I honestly almost didn’t stay here because of the negative reviews but i’m glad I did. Great location and honestly for the price it’s awesome. It doesn’t have a large fancy flat screen tv and there is a crack on the ceiling or a small chip on the furniture here and there but if you are looking for a clean, safe hotel with the essentials and do not want to break the bank, this is it. This is not for someone who wants the extra amenities but simply wants to enjoy the city and get a good nights rest. I also came to the hotel a few hours early and they OFFERED me to check in early without even asking or any additional charges and after check out they provided luggage storage without any hassle. It’s a win-win in my book. Thank you.

I booked this hotel even it's many negative reveiws, but I notice two things: good location and very clean rooms. I was actually not disappointed. I booked a room with a bed, but needs room with 2 beds. I got the room without supplement. The room was large, light and clean. I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. There were 3 different person worked in those 3 days. They were very nice and helpful, wheneven I asked or need help. If someone asks me I would recommend this hotel. My answer is yes. I will and I do! Because my experiences with this hotel are just positiv.

It's been a while since I checked into a Hotel. Front desk was kind and courteous. It was worth booking here for the capital pride events, as you're right at the heart of everything.

Convenient location, good and clean rooms. Would say price/quality. There could be 5* but the front desk staff have never been friendly.

Ideal location, great access to all tourist events and places. Dial 311 parking DC to get local parking options. Great variety of food options including a restaurant nextdoor with outdoor dining.

Extra clean, even in the corners! Staff is nice. Good safe neighborhood with lots of foot traffic. Grocery store & restaurants within walking distance.
