Judy's Barge Inn

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. Our drinks were cold and our food tasted great. We would for sure visit again. If you are in the area we would recommend paying them a visit for cold beverage and a good meal.

Stopped in to re fuel during ragbrai and lived the pork sliders and beer. Got a coozy so I can remember the place. People were great, service was quick, food was great, and a good deal too

Wow! Fantastic food, people and a awesome atmosphere. That's hard to get all 3 but Judy has done it. We were hot and tired. Judy herself whistled at us to come in and rest a spell on our quest West. The Ruben and the Judy's barge burger were out of this world good. Thank you for the renewal of hope. Y'all were amazing. So, if you are hiking on the American Discovery Trail or just happen to be near. Don't miss this great restaurant.

Our first time there after several hours boating. It was a quick walk across the road from the dock. Bloody Mary's were very good, food portions were more than enough and very good as well.

Nice small town bar with good food! Had Tuesday tacos and was not disappointed.

So we stopped in here on a suggestion from another bar (The wobbly boot)that we stopped at. Glad we did. The people that work and own the place were very nice. Michelle was working the bar that day, (a very personable person!!) and we had great conversation with her. The place is very clean, well decorated and set up nice. It has an outdoor area for those who want to sit outside and enjoy while you're visiting, or you can just chill at the bar. The bloody Mary's look great, although we didn't have one. If you're looking for a great place to stop while driving along a scenic highway, stop in and have some good food, great conversation and a drink. You won't regret it!!

Great service and wonderful food

Super good place!! I love, love, love the pulled pork sandwich. Their fries are the best! Oh, and if a train goes by you get a "train shot" for a dollar!! They ring a bell and pour the shots... so fun!!

If you haven't been here, you're missing out. Best burgers I've ever had. Almost everything made here are Judys homemade recipes. Everyone is so friendly. Prices aren't bad. Great views if you sit outside. Judy is also the sweetest lady, welcoming to everyone.

Had pulled pork tacos that were good but the homemade potato chips....Excellent!!! They give you a huge order!!! Very sharable. Lemon cake for dessert was yummy.

Holy wow! Okay, for starters, due to covid I called ahead to make sure we could come in and at least properly look at a menu. Michelle answered the phone and she was so friendly and personable and knowledgeable! We get there and she was quick to come to our table and start taking our order. She was very engaging in conversation and seemed genuinely interested in what my husband and I had to say. Now, let me tell you about the food. Most everything on the menu is homemade. We ordered a couple appetizers to dine in on, and a couple meals to go. The food here is on another level. I couldnt stop eating my spinach and artichoke dip. My husband had some pulled pork sliders with homemade barbecue sauce. I dont think I could have enough awesome things to say about this place. It truly is one of the gems of Iowa.

Ricky's Shipwreck is my new favorite. Judy is so sweet. We get there once a month but she always remembers us. Love this place. Feels like family when we are there. Service is always exceptional

Judy's Barge Burger was THE BEST burger I've ever had. Highly recommend. LOVE the fries. A clean, comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

The tenderloin samitch is perty darn good. The fries are crazy delicious. The service is wonderful. Gotta try the "barge balls". Great setting, good atmosphere, positive attitudes from servers. Who ever remodeled the place is awesome at it!

Simply OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY!!! Swift and warm greeting from the whole staff in this COOL A/C Bar and Grill. New is a theme here, new drinks along with all of those favorites. New menu with Real Takes on Mac n Cheese (a must try) to Gourmet plates of Burgers, Chicken and many Many others! We really enjoyed ourselves and will return often!!!

Wht a great place for lunch on the River. Kobe beef hamburgers? Yes please. Last place I thought I'd see kobe.

Restaurant suffered from the Mississippi breaking the levee but they already have it looking like there was never a flood. This establishment is on top of things.
