One of those favorite local coffee shops that are awesome to hit up, have a great drink, and get cozy with neighbors. I've only ever been there in the morning rush, and it can get crowded quickly, but everyone is usually super friendly and will share a table if possible. Staff are excellent at drinks and look like they know what they're doing for food prep.

My mom and I love coming here! Amazing coffee and lattes as well as a great selection of yummy foods! It's a very busy location, but it is pretty rare that we don't find a table on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We love their big selection of teas and their alternative food choices!

The coffee shop, located right in Lincoln Square is delicious. The coffee is great and the bakery is fantastic. I would recommend visiting mid morning to enjoy the coffee on their back deck. Its shaded enough and has a beautiful little garden.

My favorite coffee shop in Lincoln Square. The baristas are super friendly and go out of their way anytime it's needed. They serve up one of the best latte in Chicago and have a wide range of delicious goodies.

Great coffee made by real baristas. Very smooth texture and prepared without bitterness or over-acidity. In the summer months they have a lovely patio that is doggy friendly. This is my new coffee shop.

I love this place so much! Espresso drinks here are perfect and the house coffee is always fresh and delicious. Good breakfast pastries and desserts, some vegan options as well. Cozy and a perfect study spot.

This is my favorite local coffee shop and there are a few reasons why. It's super important to support your local coffee shop when there are Dunkin donuts and Starbucks on every corner.

First the coffee, some of the best in all of Chicago. I am a cortado drinker and theirs is great. Strong delicious espresso. My wife drinks their chai and loves that as well.

Secondly the food, always love the tasty baked goods esspecially the apple fritters which are insane. When I am more hungry the egg sandwich on a bagel always does the trick.

This place is always packed with locals using up the free WiFi and it gives it a nice cozy feel. Highly recommend and I'll probably see you there.

Comfortable vibe, always have had service with a smile. Two coffees to choose from, Counter Culture is usually the second & I believe the house blend is Ruby. There are plenty of drink and food options, also a soup in the colder months. A few seats inside and a couple outside accommodates the busy, urban crowd that visits.

If you're in Lincoln Square and not in a hurry, stop & smell the coffee (& espresso, cappuccino, tea, etc) and taste the quiche, sandwiches & sweets. A nice little place (free WiFi) run by nice people.

Great food, great service. Clean, homemade bites. Cozy and hipster. Seems a little busy/ packed to try to get much work done. Great neighborhood spot for a light bite and good coffee.

If I were on a deserted Island, and I could only take one Lincoln square cafe, then I would take The Grind, or if it was a dessert island, then I would like it to be made from the pastries at The Grind. I can whole wholeheartedly recommend the foamy chai's, Caprese sandwich on Ciabatta, (their pesto is a nice touch), the fresh juice combos/ smoothies made to order.(they offer flax and chai seeds)...to name but a few. The staff there are nice and some are really nice. also, it seems like THE GRIND is out of a comfy cozy college town, not crappy Chicago. Chicago is Stupid...THE GRIND ain't...So if you like cozy cafes and are headed to Lincoln square, unless you hate yourself, you should give THE GRIND a try. also(2) If I were a hobbit I would take my second breakfast there....and then go and fire a black NERF arrow at the Smog that is star*ucks...oh, I'm sorry am I supposed to want to give corporate america my money?....sorry, I didnt leave my hobbit brain at the dry cleaners....Because I don't go to the dry cleaners....but I do get taken to the cleaners, from time to time....just not at THE GRIND.

This is my favorite coffee place in Chicago. The coffee is always perfect. The space is usually tightly packed, but tables turn quickly enough. I love the grind.

The Grind is the best coffee shop in the area! Free refills on house coffee and the atmosphere is excellent. It's a great place to work or meet with friends.

Really good got the johnny gone Gouda - asian pizza really tastey split it with my fiancée. Really tastey decent prices. Toppings were proportionate, no huge onions or peppers that fall off as you eat it. A man's man pizza if you will.
Point blank: They really good.

Not in my neighborhood but stopped in before seeing a movie to get a double espresso. So yummy. And profits from the month were being donated to ACLU!
