Great local hardware store! Stopped in for a few basic items. They are well stocked and the service was helpful and friendly!

They’re always super helpful, help you find just the right size bolt. Even when I just want to wander, it’s amazing how much stuff they have, I always end up grabbing a few more things I forgot I needed.
Convenient bike rack right out front, and the pace pulse bus stop too.

Easy to miss the place. Last minute stop and I ran in. Glad I did. They had everything I needed and then some. Nicest guy ever. Gives you that local hardware store feel. People like this are in it for the love of the customer and the craft. Shop local. Know your neighbors.

I have been going to this local hardware store for several years. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful (unlike big box stores). They have a good selection, fair prices and are just genuinely good people. This place reminds of Chicago when I was a child - just a great neighborhood hardware store, what sometimes seems like a rarity nowadays.

They are incredibly helpful. You walk in, are greeted and then they fix your problem. What could be better?! Today I purchased a twelve cent bolt and the guy took my digger apart and put the bolt on since it was hard to get to. Tell me a big box store that can do half of that.

So, so helpful! I am not handy. Like, at all. They are incredibly knowledgeable and if they are judging the probably dumb questions I have asked them they certainly aren't showing it outwardly.

Every time I have gone here I am greeted at the door and it's basically me telling them what is happening and them guiding me to exactly what I need, which is often less expensive than what I came in thinking I needed. I leave with clear instructions on how to accomplish my goal from an experienced employee.

Try getting that at a big box store!

My neighborhood hardware store for over 20 years now.
I own a home near this store and I am in here all the time to get what I need for home maintenance.
They are always helpful and friendly.

I have been coming to H&B for many years. I am a professional carpenter and all around handy man. I have never been disappointed coming here. They have all kinds of hard to find items. Hey also have many specialty items that you can’t get at the big box stores. This is the firs place I go for all kinds of things and rarely leave without what I came for. Joe, George and the rest of the crew have great knowledge about their stuff and are patient when listening to what your doing and have great advice that has helped me with some tough repairs. This place is one of the few old school hardware stores that is an absolute pleasure to visit!!

This hardware store is truly fantastic. The staff are always friendly. They have a *ton* of knowledge and are always up for solving a problem- I call and stop by for all kinds of things and they have helped me work through all of it. This shop is totally the epitome of a classic neighborhood business - they are great community resource, and honestly, just wonderful people.

The "BEST" Ma & Pa hardware store out there. Everyone in that place is very knowledgeable and friendly to talk too. The first time I met Joe, I knew right than and their, it was going to be my go to hardware store. A+ A+ A+ A+ A+

I've been here many times since my last review. As, always the people here never fail to do a great job and are super friendly.
I love the fact that we have a neighborhood hardware store.

Extremely friendly service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, I told the folks what I was looking for ( had to replace a license plate ) I was shown exactly where the correct sized screws and bolts were. I did some browsing and was checked in to make sure I was good with everything. The whole visit lasted maybe 2-3 minutes. Thanks H & B. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent, neighborhood hardware store. Everyone that works in the store is knowledgeable about the products they sell and they are very helpful. Bonus, they fix window screens. Double bonus; they actually have a guy that makes keys!!

Great hardware store! The staff are knowledgeable and willing to help. Lots of hard-to-find little things you'd never come by at a big-box. Full-range selection of merchandise. I go here instead of the Ace on Devon in Edgebrook because of repeated rude service experienced there.

I love this hardware store! It reminds me of the stores I used to go to with my father, long before the big-box stores existed, especially because it's small yet absolutely crammed full of so much useful stuff! And the staff is so knowledgeable, even the "newbies," and gives such good advice. I almost always find exactly what I need here, so I always visit this store first. Thank you, H&B!.

Great local store. You can find popular products. What I always get impressed is the costumer service they provide, you get greeted at the door all the time offering help if needed.
Highly recommend.

Have been customer thru I believe 3 owners, THEY INVENTED CUSTOMER SERVICE! Have everything big box stores do and more they do not. First visit over 60 yrs. ago on bike with note pinned to my shoulder by Dad. Their combined knowledge and assistance makes DIY all the easier! PAYS TO SHOP LOCAL!

Always helpful. This time I needed a filter and spark plug for a lawnmower. A nice young man found them for me and I was on my way in no time. No looking through long aisles, hoping to find someone who knows something.
