Eckert's Country Restaurant

Food was very good. Fried chicken needed a little salt but the texture was perfect. Mimosas did not taste like they had any alcohol in them at all (literally just juice), but they get some points because the flavors in the cider flight had some bite and were both crisp and refreshing. Can’t complain about the service since we were the only ones there for a bit of time. Atmosphere was very relaxed and clean.

My friend and I stopped at Eckert's after an afternoon of holiday festivities. The food was good, the service was amazing, the prices were decent and the decor was holiday festive. Everything was wonderful!

The Country Restaurant is just one of many wonderful things Eckert's has to offer. My grandfather and father and myself all moved to St. Louis as young adults (3 separate moves that is) and all had a love for Eckert's that has been passed down and spread. I do not typically eat at the restaurant, but a group of friends caught their special brunch for a birthday celebration and the food was great. I am not sure if the brunch setup is year round or seasonal, but eating there for any meal/occasion is likely to be successful.

Very cool setup and great service. The food was much better than I expected. I had strawberry shrimp tacos and I would say one of the best shrimp tacos I have had in Illinois. The menu items sound weird but everyone in my party loved what they ordered. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a yummy breakfast in the restaurant before walking around the store and checking out the Christmas trees.

Wonderful place to take the kids! Only suggestion from someone who is disabled, you need more benches! This picture taken from the only bench from the very top of the entrance by the trailer rides all the way to main entrance of the store/restaurant. There were plenty of empty spaces to add them along the fence and store walls. From someone middle aged walking with crutches, it just would have been more enjoyable being able to sit elsewhere. Then you have a lot of elderly that come that would probably like to sit while their companies can stroll the grounds & shop.

We had a party of 7 hungry folks.  We were provided a nice private dining room with plenty of space & great natural lighting.  Our meals were well prepared & delicious.  Dustin, our waiter, was exceptionally patient, attentive, thorough & professional.

Strawberry picking and live music at the barn while enjoying a refreshing, cool strawberry treat. Makes for a good few hours of enjoyment.

Eckert’s is one of my favorite places to eat (and shop!) when we’re in the Shiloh area. Seasonal orchard produce and cider can’t be beat, but we enjoy dining there in every season. Our favorites are fried chicken (husband) and squash soup and scone (mine). My brother-in-law loved the fried okra. Desserts are delicious!

Eckert’s is an amazing place. Their local produce is outstanding! You get a tractor ride on a wagon to pick fruit! Very awesome for kids!! Everything is good! The restaurant is delicious! But the best part is picking your own fruit and vegetables! You kids will love it! While your picking, you can eat as much as you want! Picking the fruit is fun and a pretty good deal. Plus you supporting local farmers. And it’s delicious. Don’t forget a fresh strawberry concrete during strawberry season! You never tasted custard this good, well except maybe Ted Drew’s, but the strawberries are fresher here! Stop for lunch and picks one fruit! In the summer they have rides for kids, a mini fair type thing with bouncy castles, and food truck festivals! They often have bands in the evening during the summer.

We LOVE Eckert's! It's so nice to have so much to do at one place. The kids can play, we can dine, grocery shop, etc. My son calls it "the green store". He likes to have his own little grocery cart to shop. We get our pumpkins from Eckert's when it's Halloween time and we get our Christmas trees there for Christmas. We go apple picking and more. Awesome place to take the kids!

Amazing food and service, this is a new favorite! We made a reservation for 7 (3 adults, 4 children) for lunch right as they opened.. and they were ready for us.. ushered us back to a nice private table set just as we asked with booster seats etc. We had a wonderful meal and bought far too many pies at the store after!

A great family place. They have pick your own fruit all throughout the year. We love going every year for pumpkins and apples. They have a multitude of kids activities and play areas. The store has a terrific bakery and deli. They also sell a variety of Eckerts branded foods as well as others. The country store inside sells country decorations for your home.

Reservations recommended. We got 10 min late, but got seated fairly quickly. Kids choices are slightly limited but with sides and pretzels on the main menu, we made it work. Many strawberry options, as we were during strawberry season.

Awesome place to get apples and so much more. We visit here multiple times per year. You get to eat the fruit your picking while your in the orchard. The cost is one dollar to get in and then you pay per pound for any fruit you take with you. This is a great place to bring your kids.

We were seated immediately, we got the biscuits and apple butter promptly which was tasty. The staff was friendly and were always ready to ask if we needed anything. The biscuit and gravy was amazing and my side of ham was delicious. Next time I'm in town visiting I'll be back again.

This was our first time to Eckert's and it was wonderful! We enjoyed lunch at their restaurant, visited their general store, picked peaches & veggies, and completed the sunflower maze. The huge sunflowers were $1 each and pick-your-own boxes were only $10-$20! I definitely reccomend visiting here if you haven't. Completely worth our 2 hour drive; we'll be back!

Me & my family go here every year to pick apples & pumpkins! It’s always a great time and the kids love the tractor rides to the fields plus being able to explore in the nature & pick their own healthy food!!

Celebrating two sister's birthdays with peaches and blackberries 😁 wonderful selection and well-kept crops. Definitely coming back for all the season's produce. Their store is one-of-a-kind with a variety of fresh picks, homemade sides, dips, herbs, bakery items, and desserts. A great destination for a family outing or date with your love!

With its Country Flair, place just seems homely/welcoming. FRESH Fruit. Beautiful Meat. Scrumptious Delicacies. Seasonal Items. Farming. Hay Rides. Fruit/Vegetable Picking. LOVE ECKERTS.
