The dude actors and staff are so nice and take wonderful care of the animals. I've been bouncing between vets trying to find the best care near home for one chronic sick cat and 2 healthy ones including a kitten. This has been the best care by far!

I’ve been going here for over 10 years. The office staff is very sweet and always caring about the animals. The vet is caring and compassionate. He also does not order lots of expensive unnecessary tests to run up the bill.

Reliable neighborhood veterinarian for your fur babies. Our cats have mixed reactions coming here but the staff always handle them with care and attention. Reliable service for both routine checkups or unexpected visits. We feel cared for here.

Excellent care; Dr. Dan Murphy is experienced and thorough. His diagnosis of a tumor on my dog’s leg was spot on and his surgery to remove the tumor was very successful and I’m sure prolonged her life. I have always found the people there very helpful and accommodating.

Been going here for about 6 years now and I love the care that my dogs get. This year, one dog stopped walking suddenly and Dr. Murphy knew exactly what was wrong right away and made sure we went to the proper place for him to get surgery. Not to mention that the front desk ladies are amazing as well.

I have been a client of Capitol Hill Animal Clinic for many years, going back to when it opened. Compared to other clinics in the city, they do a very thorough and professional job at a very reasonable cost. Dr. Dan Murphy especially is extremely knowledgeable, takes his time with your pet and explains what needs to be done and why. Dr. Muhlbacher is a bit more imperious but is still very competent. The staff are very helpful. Highly recommend.

When we got a puppy, our friends recommended this vet in a rowhouse along Pennsylvania Avenue. They were right- we love it! The staff are friendly, efficient and our dog loves them!

I can't thank Dr. Murphy enough for the care and concern he exhibited for my failing cat BabyCat. He is so knowledgeable, intuitive, and kind. He looks at your pet as whole - he doesn't treat just one symptom. He takes time to explain things to you. He gives you options and recommendations He is gifted in understanding animals and people. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices and wait times are not long. They seem to very carefully schedule appointments to minimze the number of possible pet interactions in the waiting area or hall. Procedures and diagnoses are throughly explained in plain language and estimates for recommended follow-up care are provided. Definitely recommend!

I love the vets and staff at Capitol Hill Animal Clinic! They are always so sweet to my cats, and they always provide us great care. I was nervous about finding a vet who was knowledgeable about feline diabetes when I moved to DC, but I lucked into two right in my neighborhood!

Dr. Murphy is truly in a class of his own, he is thorough, engaging, and empathetic. He truly takes time to explain clearly about your pets needs and conditions, have been going to him for nearly 20 years! Best in the city!!!

We never knew when our animals gonna get sick, well my experience wasn't bad at all, but the price is not bad but you have to ask about how much it would cost for your cat or dog to be seen, you up a deposit down, but you should get a refund back I like the area but the parking it's hard time to find a parking around this area weather it weeks days or weekends the nurse and doctor are nice 👍❤ i went back to have my daughter cat get his shots and get bis surgery .everything went well.

I am active duty military and was new to the area last July. I found this clinic bc of its proximity to my house. I am very bias when it comes to Vets bc my grandfather was one and there is a high standard of care that I require because simply put, our pets are our children. I brought my sweet 120 pound pup Neko here and I can say from the depths of my soul that Dr. Murphy and his staff are incredible. Doc reads his patients notes when the fur-parents call to schedule appts. He doesn't push unnecessary drugs buying into big pharma. He takes time after your appt to answer any questions you may have. He is gentle and kind to our loved ones. His staff even follows up if you forget to make your follow up appts. My sweet pup had to cross the Rainbow Bridge a few weeks ago. Dr. Murphy and his staff let's us bawl our eyes out, comforted us, and maintained compassionate professionalism the entire time. Doc even sent a hand written sympathy card to us in the mail expressing his condolences. For as long as I remain in DC, (and if Doc doesnt retire), I will be recommending this practice with the highest of endorsements. The next four legged child in my life will have Dr. Murphy as its Vet. Dr. Murphy and his staff are incredible.

I love this place! I have been taking my 9 month old puppy here since he was 2 months. They are great with my dog knowing exactly who he is without them calling for us. My dog always comes back happy and so that makes me happy. Great place 👌

We used to bring our two cats to him when we lived in DC (99-2009). He was expeinced, warm & gentle with our cats. We couldn't ask for more. We had tried one in Gaithersburg and one in Rockville, but they were no as experienced nor caring about our pets.

I got a dog from the New York Avenue Animal Shelter and you get one free two week Healthy Check up and I chosed The Capitol Hill Animal Clinic also especially since my daughter has been there before with her dog and cats. So I would like to recommend it as a friendly safe place to take your pets.
