Shalom Kosher Bakery

We arrived right before closing time and they were patient with us in explaining the different bakery items. My children were given free samples and we left with big smiles! The cookies are light and delicious as they are dairy and nut free. Prices are reasonable as well.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Wonderful people, wonderful bakes, wonderful prices. We struggle to keep ourselves from a chocolate coffee cake and a couple bags of bagels every week. Just had our first birthday cake ordered from there - absolute perfection. If you have nut, dairy, or egg restrictions of any kind this is THE place!

Tasty, fresh bagels (including minis baked only on Friday’s). My kids and I loved them. The lovely shop owner asked me if it was ok I’d she gave my son a cookie. She was so kind and he gobbled it up!

I would like to give 25 stars. Thank you to Shalom for quickly gathering such a wonderful mix of all your delicious offerings for a family dear to us. You went above and beyond and have a customer for life. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and expertise. Thank you again!

A dear friend from Chicago visiting here in Tucson made a special stop at Shalom Kosher Bakery (of N Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove IL) and brought a "care package"... Best kosher bakery by far.

I had the chocolate croissants. THEY WERE THE BEST IVE EVER HAD!!! So light and fluffy and so Fresh! I inhaled the first one and had to hide the other one to save it for later with a nice cup of tea. 10000/10. My friend got cookies, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate and cinnamon apricot Rugalach. The service was amazing and it is very busy. Make sure you bring cash!

Everything tastes amazing! We were visiting from out of town and wish we had been able to go more than once or would have bought way more. The woman was so kind, even cheering up our sad toddler with a fresh cookie. It is hard to find bakeries safe for someone with a nut allergy, especially ones this delicious and affordable.

Everything I mean everything is absolutely perfect. Chocolate chip cookies are addictive! The best yet. Try frozen 😄

The owners are just good people. They only take cash, but she’s legit covered me when I’ve forgotten and had to scrounge up whatever I could find. That kindness has brought me back.

My family loves this place! The owners are amazing and go above and beyond time and time again. They are a nut - free Bakery which means I can send my but allergy kids up to buy whatever they want and not have to worry! Their items are delicious, but our particular favorites are the cinnamon pull apart, everything bagels, rum balls, brownies, chocolate rugaleh cookies, (and all their cookies!).

Shalom Kosher Bakery is the only place I order from for baked good!!! I feel like I am part of their family, as everyone is the nicest and most wonderful to work with on planning desserts for entertainment. From cakes to cookies to breads and bagels, EVERYTHING is amazingly delicious. I love that they cater to all allergies as people in my family have life threatening allergies to dairy and can enjoy eating their fantastic baked goods and not have to worry. I definitely recommend going their to see for yourself what a wonderful bakery looks like!!!

For us, this bakery was found after my youngest was diagnosed with a peanut and dairy allergy. There food is AMAZING. I would highly recommend. They are also family owned and the family couldn't be any nicer.

Shalom Kosher Bakery is amazing. Run by an amazing family who are passionate about their bakery and their customers. Warm, welcoming, and have the best baked goods. They even went the extra mile to make a cake that was tree nut free and not cross contaminated for a family member with a severe tree nut allergy. Cannot go wrong with any of their goods but they do have the best bagels, muffins, and cookies. They really are a gem!

This is a wonderful business. They bake delicious things, and it is kosher. They also sell unbaked dough for Challah bread so you can braid it yourself. It was an experience for my kids when they were little to drive there because they got to pick out some cookies when we picked up our order. They are on Buffalo Grove Road on the SE side of the intersection. You can take 53 to get most of the way there. I highly recommend them. It is the authentic kosher bakery experience so many are craving!

Work construction and sometimes stop in with the crew. A true family business and super generous. We work hard for are money and they are always generous to us. In fact one of the guys I work with was broke one day and the lady would not let the other guys pay for him. The Bagels are awesome the owner has a big heart. Love this place.

I love this place! We moved down the street to the Buffalo Grove location 22 years ago and they have become almost like family! It is run by the kindest family in the world, their baked goods always provide their special touch, and my whole family now loves their take and bakes! Get yourself a corn muffin too!!!!!

Always so friendly and everything from here tastes amazing. I could live off of their chocolate raspberry coffee cake.
