Quarters one is a beautiful 21k square foot home on Rock Island Arseanal. Its no longer used as housing but can be rented for weddings, family events, fundraisers, and haunted Ghost tours. The home is said to be haunted and has proven to be a favorite among the paranormal community. Its worth a visit just to see the breathtaking views of the river and amazing original architecture.

The history on the Rock Island Arsenal is so interesting. Quarters one being the second biggest single family home the United States government has second only too the White House. The top floor was where troops would stay to protect the building. The mouldings are very fancy and I thought they were plaster but they were made out of cast. When they sent cannon barrels and other steel they melted into decrotive oriental piece's. Very neat place to visit.

I was here for my brother's memorial, and it is beautiful. They give public tours of the building. I would recommend it if you are in the area. A lot of history and breathtaking architecture.

We are at the Riverfront Pops concert in Front of Quarters One on the Rock Island Arsenal. Nice crowd, great weather.

A historic 50 fifty room mansion built during the civil war. Only residence owned by the US government that is larger is the White House.
