My husband and I booked a room over Easter weekend. This was our first time visiting! We arrived super late and despite it being so late, Ashley greeted us right away! She was so welcoming and helpful! She helped us with local recommendations and had very good advice! The room was perfect and the inn itself was very unique, clean, and welcoming! We would definitely stay here again when we return for another visit! Thank you!

Everything met expectations on our arrival. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, Ogunquit Center and lots of good restaurants if you like to walk as much as we do. The main building of the historic Inn is impressive and the staff was helpful during check-in and our room was as expected thanks to our previous conversations with Ashley. We selected a room in the Shorebirds building mainly because of the private balcony and we were happy with it. The welcome set-up with artistically folded towels and flower petals was a very nice touch.

We got a chance to check out an upgraded room in the main building and appreciated the historic vibe there and beautiful appointments. We'll probably select an upper floor room at the Inn on our next trip. The continental breakfast included during our stay was pretty good with hard-boiled eggs, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juices and fresh muffins and breads. We took advantage of the breakfast most mornings. The gentleman that took care of the breakfast room was a real sweetheart and did a great job.

The lobby was a great space for hanging out or enjoying breakfast and the wrap-around porch was beautiful for the same purposes. Parking was an issue on some evenings when the property was full, but we always found a space. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or fire pit during our stay, but others were having a great time and the pool area was very well maintained every morning.

We really enjoyed our stay and there were only a few minor issues. There is limited availability of staff after hours to resolve housekeeping and other questions but those that responded gave us options to pick up towels, etc. There was some evidence of wear and tear around the property, like some trim and decking needing fresh paint, all very minor, issue but worth a mention.

Our highlight was the welcoming spirit and the thoughtful care we received from Ashley, the assistant manager, who made us feel like family every day. What a difference she makes! She's a great host and a very authentic and caring person. We'll remember her most of all.

We loved our stay at the Colonial Inn! We’ve been to Ogunquit a few times before but stayed elsewhere and decided to try out the Colonial Inn this year. Suite 501 was a spacious two BR suite for our family of 4. We were able to cook dinner two nights using the kitchenette and the air fryer we brought from home. Beds were very comfortable. The only thing that could have enhanced our stay would have been better outdoor furniture by the suite building (like a conversation set) so we could sit outside without having to go to the porch of the main building or the pool area. There was one of those rubber picnic tables ( like found in a schoolyard) that wasn’t conducive to relaxing. We have older kids so we felt comfortable leaving them to go sit on the porch, but not all families can or would do this. We LOVED having a hotel with continental breakfast- it was just enough variety to not feel repetitive- staples like bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. This hotel provides daily housekeeping service which we have found is a rarity since Covid. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay here this past week. We were in a king room 2nd floor of the main inn & could see the water from our window which was a pleasant surprise. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Good water pressure in shower. Some other reviews mention uneven floors which is accurate but it didn't bother us at all. Breakfast room clean & had bagels, breads for toasting & assorted jellies and peanut butter, fresh muffins from a local bakery & fresh fruit, coffee & assorted teas & juices. In the afternoon coffee & freshly baked cookies were in the entry/sitting area. Walking distance to everything. We walked to Ogunquit Beach, all the shops, restaurants, Marginal Way to Perkins Cove. We enjoyed the firepit & if it had been a little warmer we would have used the pool & hot tub which looked well maintained. We're already talking about going back again!!

Lovely historic in on the rugged Maine Coast in Ogunquit Maine. Easy walk to downtown shops which were delightful and fun to explore, diverse restaurants, the beautiful Marginal Way Path walk, and the magnificent Public Ogunquit Beach. We had a delightful stay. The special packages were very well done and above and beyond what we expected. We will return!

This is a nice hotel, centrally located with an ocean view from some of the rooms. What really made it special for us was general manager, Ashley White.

I made a mistake on the reservation. This could have led to a real mess, but Ashley came through like a champ, cleaning up my error and making is super easy for us! That service made the whole stay for us. Thanks, Ashley!

The staff is extremely courteous, especially Akeam who went above and beyond to help us get settled into our room and made sure we were comfortable. The room in the main building is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful wide plank wooden floors, a bed that is like sleeping on a cloud, two very comfortable arm chairs....and a huge bathroom. We enjoyed our breakfast on the front porch. The lobby beautiful ly designed as well. This is a charming old hotel with a great location minutes from many great restaurants and Perkin' s Cove.

Got a king size ocean view room. Clean, cute, quaint, not run down at all despite the age. Easy to access/walkable to downtown Ogunquit. Ample parking. Pool, fire pit, breakfast, games, fridge in room. Would definitely stay again. Plus the added bonus of flower petals, towel swans, and candies in the room!

This summer was my second time staying at The Colonial Inn. I can guarantee that I will be back again in 2023. From Sharlene's outstanding service at the front desk, to the clean rooms, to the bountiful free continental breakfast, everything was wonderful. The front porch was great for having relaxing with a glass of wine and catching up on a good book. The location was also unbeatable! Just steps to the Marginal Way, and a 5 or 10 minute walk to the beach, downtown and Perkins Cove.

Overall amazing stay.

Best part is that this is the only hotel/inn (out of 10 or so) that didn't have a 2 night minimum.

Service - I called ahead requesting an early check in and they were able to accommodate it.

Staff - very friendly and courteous

Location - walking distance to beach and downtown strip

It's an older and quaint place to stay. The rooms and showers are recently upgraded. The staff was great and made the stay very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this location.

Love love love The Colonial!!! The staff are amazing and super nice. Great location. Our room was on the 4th floor with an side ocean view. Now it is an older building so some of the flooring was not level in our room but it really just added to the charm of the place for us. Nice big bathroom as well for a hotel. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed here a few times in the past two years. It is well-maintained and the rooms are very nice. Unlike those at most hotels, the beds here are actually soft and comfortable! Pillows, too. Windows at both ends of the room (East building) allow for a nice cross-breeze. Piano in main building. Red wine was put in our room by hotel staff upon request.

Came up for my anniversary. The hotel didn't disappoint. The room was comfortable with a great view. Great location. My only complaint is that the bed had a dip in it. Other than that I'd definitely come back again!

For older people the floors are uneven
But it was not that bad the only suggestion i would make is to put bars in the shower. It has an elevator and the breakfast was good also the cookies and coffee inthe afternoon great idea. I would go back anytime.

The Colonial Inn is located on Shore Road in Ogunquit just steps from the entrance to the Marginal Way. It is within walking distance of Main Street and many restaurants. The lobby and sitting area in the main inn is very nice and there is a lovely porch that wraps around three sides with inviting rocking chairs. A continental breakfast is served which helps save time. There is always coffee, tea, and fruit infused water available, and fresh baked cookies in the evening. The inn has a nice pool with new comfortable furniture and a fire pit in back. There are also motel units on the property that are part of the Colonial Inn.
