The Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort

They have the best spot in my opinion. Sleep listening to the ocean crash against the wall below. The most beautiful sunrises and you park and walk everywhere, you right in the middle of everything within walking distance, the beach Perkins cover.
Quaint and clean always friendly staff they have continental breakfast and a heated pool.

We have been staying here for over forty years. I started coming when I was three and now I bring my own children. They are teenagers now but have been coming since they were weeks old. The rooms are cozy and quaint and what people are calling “dated”. Who cares. The view makes up for any of that. The fridge is not in the bathroom. It’s outside of the bathroom under the sink. There are no microwaves but access to the dining room microwave is allowed. There is new management, not new owners. They hired a management company so some things have changed. It is weird going into the office and not knowing anyone. We’ve known the previous staff forever. We have the same fabulous maid every year who always remembers our names. They will clean your room everyday if requested which we don’t usually need. I’ve never seen any uncleanliness, ever. Reservations are based on seniority and done by paper requests at the end of your stay. You’re then required to mail a check deposit. Reservations used to be very competitive as we request the same week and same room every year. It’s always been done that way, yes, and it’s really not anything to complain about. The breakfast is a more than sufficient continental with fresh made muffins, breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt, hard boil eggs, coffee, and juice. I’ve never experienced anything reflecting that they don’t like children. There are many families that we see every year. It’s in a wonderful location with beautiful gardens. Within walking to downtown and the infamous Marginal Way begins right by the pool. Highly recommend, 10/10.

Come here every year for our anniversary. We had a very small maintenance issue and Gary was PHENOMENAL. We are always pleased with everything here, but he was exceptional.

Better than beachfront; we love the place where the ocean meets the Ogunquit River. Tides here are like no other. Rooms are aging but comfortable and provide beautiful sea/beach vistas. Walkable to food and beach. Second time here, back again.

Just spoke to the lady at the front desk and she was VERY accommodating, CANNOT wait to go in August!

Wonderful accommodations and great staff! Our room was great with a perfect ocean view and very comfortable. Plenty of space and good lighting.
The only addition I would request is a small microwave. Otherwise, perfect!

Great place to stay on the Maine coast. Warm, friendly, and very cost effective. The view of the Atlantic, crashing waves, and sunrise from the balcony was outstanding. Easy walk to town, restaurants and activities.
During our expedition to Maine, we stayed at a beautiful place call Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort. The experience was that of a resort, but the price was remarkably modest at about $200 a night for two nights. The rooms were all clean, fresh, and well-appointed with all the standard amenities. The rooms had sweeping panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean that are unrivaled. The team was sharp, clean, brisk, and very helpful. Check-in and out process was efficient and less than 5 minutes total. Continental breakfast, including plenty of good coffee, pastries, bread, Hard boiled eggs, and cereals, is provided. An additional attraction is a Marginal Way, a seaside walkway starting at Sparhawk and following the shoreline about 2 miles down to Perkins Cove. Along the way are spectacular views of the Maine coast, beaches, the Atlantic Ocean, and of course, on the land side, restaurants, hotels, and shops to enjoy along the way. The walkway ends at Perkins cove with a cluster of shops, lots of Lobster, restaurants, and a selection of harbor cruises. The resort is a short walk to the town center, replete with shops and restaurants. There are many more attractions to explore within a short drive, but we ran out of time. In summary, a wonderful place to stay and to return to each year.

Great location, balcony overlooking the ocean, room was immaculate, friendly and attentive staff. Free continental breakfast was ok, nothing special. Might be nitpicking but the only negative is their out dated reservation process, they require a check to be mailed in, no credit card or online portal set up...come on Sparhawk this is 2022 not 1970 get with the program! Other than that, highly recommended, would not hesitate to go back👍

There isn't much need for service. This place is very nice, room's are very nice. Ocean side views from the rooms. Have a breakfast everyday. Love this place.

Hotel overlooks the ocean & Marginal Way. Rooms are spacious, clean & cozy. The view from the balcony we had in the Ireland House was fantastic!!

Outstanding accommodations and service! Staff is extremely friendly. The price for a room was very reasonable and the free breakfast makes this hotel a great value. Great shops and restaurants are nearby. It's a short walk to the beach. Members of our family have been going there for over forty years and have always had a wonderful time!

For many decades the Sparhawk has set the bar high for a great getaway. The grounds and gardens are outstanding with gorgeous flowers at every turn. All the rooms are appointed with high quality furniture. The complimentary breakfast is satisfying and delicious. And all this is accomplished with the best staff around, they are very polite, accomodatinng and dedicated to making your stay perfect!

Room were smartly decorated, very fresh. Only complaint was, it would have been nice to have an extra blanket. Beautiful view!! Pool was amazing!! Just a first rate establishment...will be back!!

We love this place. been comimg here several years now. The Staff is top notch, very friendly, they talk to you with respect. the rooms are kept very clean, and updated. We have never had a problem or complaint. our plans are that we will coming back for many years to come. the views of ocean and convenience to main street is the best!

Sparhawk Oceanfront is a comfortable, relaxing motel, nestled in the quaintness of Ogunquit, Maine.

I’ve been coming here for some years now. The overall customer service is wanting the guests to be taken care of properly. Hence the reason for such a full house, all year when they are open.

The lawns are nicely kept, and it’s location at the oceans edge, adds to its beachy charm!

Breakfast is rather simple, and could improve with a few more offerings. The rooms have been getting updated and are spacious and clean. Many of the rooms have balcony’s to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean! Also they have tennis, shuffleboard and an outdoor pool! Truly a setting to be enjoyed!!!

Meticulously clean rooms (and I'm super finicky), very comfortable beds, excellent view! Staff was warm, customer oriented and accommodating! I won't stay any where else, if I can help it. I misplaced the 2nd key, no problem, very friendly. Rooms have a fridge. Decent soaps & shampoos. Excellent price (at least in early May). Zero bed bugs!!!
