Local Mocha Coffee

Staff are very friendly..and they have fantastic pancakes! Coffee too. They make the best americano in town, good and strong just the way I like. I really like this place and it’s workers. It’s far out of the way for me but I enjoy the food, drink and people that I make an extra effort to come here. Haven’t tried any other food except their pancakes because I like them so much ,maybe I should.
Tried the sausage, egg and cheese today…excellent! And 4 shots in my americano! I love this place.

Love the breakfast sandwiches and coffee! The owners also have been supporting the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan UAW members that are on strike by providing us coffee. I’m so thankful for Local Mocha.

This coffee and more bistro has the best caramel truffle latte! I'm looking forward to trying more menu items!

I stopped by for some amazing tomato soup and a hot chai tea to have a small dinner before I headed back to my classes. The environment was so cozy and the employee was so kind and friendly. I will definitely be visiting again ☺

Wondeful for a breakfast stop before work -- I ordered a sausage, egg & cheese bagel on asiado with chipotle sauce and it was a great, generous serving size, price, and tasted delicious. I'll be back to try the coffee soon!!

Hidden gem in downtown Grand Rapids. I enjoyed the experience. It is an eclectic little coffee shop that also offers other beverages and breakfast dishes. It is tiny but cozy. The behind the counter person is friendly and wonderful.

I come here each time I’m in town. They’re mochas and other coffees are tasty and generous in size, and the owner is quite nice. They have a huge selection of drinks and snacks as well. Give it a try.

Very good customer service! The lady was very nice and coffee was very good! The menu was vast and very good! I've seen some comments about how some were overpriced but if they read the board, it costs a little extra for more pumps of syrup. Overall very fun and inviting experience!

Had a very nice experience. Woman was very polite and the coffees were delicious. Just the right balance of flavors without being too sweet. Would definitely get coffee here again!

My wife and I try to stop in when we are in GR if time allows, because not only is the coffee outstanding, so is the service. The lady that works there is so sweet and accommodating, and the shop is clean and cozy.

I found myself reading through the reviews because I was puzzled that they only get 3.7 stars, and as it turns out a good lot of them are complaints from people buying something from the coffee shop next door then proceeding to use Local Mocha's outdoor tables, and being asked to sit elsewhere. Um, there are public benches literally about 8 feet away from their outdoor tables, so yeah, your complaints are invalid. And as for the jerks who used Local Mocha's indoor trash to dispose of the other coffee shop's garbage: Again, public trash cans 8 feet away, and yes, it's extremely rude to do what you did.

Folks, let me tell you, the majority of these complaints are from over privileged whiners who spend their lives waiting for something to get upset about. Don't listen to them. Local Mocha is da bomb!

What a lovely find! I wish google would have shown their shop to me. I was walking by and happened upon it. My son and I had a delicious lunch of grilled cheese, soup and a hot dog. The person working was quite friendly and I appreciated her help even when she was busy. Highly recommend for a affordable lunch option downtown

The lady who greeted me was very sweet and definitely brightened my morning despite all of the surprise snow. The food and smoothies are amazing and the menu has a great variety of food to pick from.

Had to work downtown for a couple of hours. I was greeted with a friendly “Good morning!” from the woman behind the counter as soon as I walked in. I ordered a medium Americano with cream and a pump of vanilla. It was delicious. I sat outside on a pleasant morning and ordered another cup once I was finished with the first. I will definitely go back!

I get a hotdog here almost everyday and its the best deal in Grand Rapids for a hotdog. I absolutely love the woman that runs the shop, very nice and a good place to eat and get coffee.

We just stopped from out of town with the fam. Initially was going to stop at Madcap but it was too busy and it didn’t look like they served anything other than coffee and desert. Decided to take a chance on Local Mocha. Was happy we did. Great food, great coffee and service with a smile. Don’t listen to the naysayers who have an axe to grind….👍🏻🙂

Love love love this coffee joint! The owner is a sweetheart and the decor is absolutely adorable, been a costumer here since 2015 and they’ve never disappointed. Highly recommend if you’re in the GR area!
