Oh my gosh-- words can't describe how amazing this little store is!!!! There is everything here from hardware, tools, and baking, all the way to spices, and local goodies. We spent quite some time in the aisles and the prices were great. Really nice service! I recommend to anybody near Machias.

Machias Hardware is a wonderful, old-fashioned hardware/ general store in a historic building on Main Street. You can get anything from screws to bulk herbs and spices to local crafts. I love visiting and will sometimes drop in just to say hi.

When need quality items, I go here. They have hardware items, but also fresh herbs and organic foods. The service is terrific and the owner. Michael Hoyt, will keep you laughing
