I recommend checking this spot out! Very cute and clean shop, nice selection of books (not a huge variety, but they have a lot of popular books for adults and kids), and the customer service was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful in finding the books I was searching for. I'll absolutely be shopping there again.

A cute store at the cherry street. Small selection of books but great ones! Interesting handwritten information for some books and other things like puzzle, notes, etc are available too. Will visit again!

Absolutely gorgeous, welcoming, and warm bookstore. They have an incredible selection of both fiction and non-fiction, and a great local authors selection for you to browse through. This is absolutely worth the stop in; support your local bookstores, everyone!!

Awesome shop! There are so many books in here, but it doesn't feel overwhelming. I also love that they can order something if they don't have it in stock. The only downside to my visit was having to choose what to buy because I couldn't buy it all.

Best bookstore in the state IMO! Staff is absolutely lovely, selection is inspiring and well curated. Being a customer and book club member during my time in GR was so special and I miss it all the time since moving. Books & Mortar cares about people, the city, and the environment and it shows in what they promote and the community building they inspire. This place is a huge pick me up on a bad day, and an inspiring and safe space when things feel tough. Good work is being done here, it’s so much more than a bookstore.

Favorite bookstore in town, hands down. Jenny, the owner, is wonderful as is her staff. The book selection is always on point and very well rounded. It’s a great stop for anyone who loves a good book or who may be looking for a gift. Plus, it’s a safe space for all readers.

A great bookstore in Grand Rapids. Hospitable atmosphere and a wide array of diverse books. Stop in the next time you’re in the area and ask them to order a copy of Sky, the Deaf Home Run Hero!

This bookstore was a charming place in a happy neighborhood of Grand Rapids. It has books of many genres of books, children's stories, journals, cards and stickers. Jess was such a happy and upbeat bookseller. It was a joy to talk with her. Please support this local bookstore.
