Katie did an amazing job on my hair! I had to find a new stylist after my old one left and I'm so glad I went to Katie. I keep it simple and really didn't think she'd spend much time on my hair but she did. It feels great and she took the time. I scheduled same day and may have rushed her at the end as I had another appointment and that's on me. But it was excellent service! Glad I came here to see her!

Katie always does such an incredible job with my hair. I try to be pretty low maintenance with my hair so she always blends my highlights perfectly to give me a natural, sun-kissed look that doesn’t need to be retouched often. She always uses the best products and leaves my hair feeling fresh and rejuvenated (the conversation is always an added bonus). Highly recommend both of these talented ladies!

After 10 years of the same old hair cut. Katie was able to take 15 years off my age with a fresh style and hair cut. She is amazing. And trust me, my hair is no picnic to cut. I have been hit with the cowlick stick several times. One of my favorite parts of the cut is the scalp massage during the washing… if I were closer. I would make a appointment once a week just for that.

Absolutely love the service at Phoenix and Fire Salon!! Especially my Curl specialist Ashley! The suite is so freaking adorable and such a vibe (w/great music always playing)! The experience with my stylist is never dull, her expertise in curls and providing such great tips and tricks for my curls, has been life changing for my hair needs and also my children! She’s a doll and so sweet when helping you find what you need for your hair!

I have been going to Katie for hair cuts for about a year, with a little break period in between, where I decided to dye my own hair, and then have a different salon try to fix it and they completely messed up my hair, and then Katie was able to completely fix the color and I ended with a beautiful coper color that was my goal in the first place. Katie does an incredible job everytime! Highly recommend.

I have been coming to Katie since she moved to Grand Rapids. I like fun, short cuts and she is always up for the challenge and never leaves me disappointed! For me, she is the queen of women’s short cuts! For years, we have played with colors which I also love until I decided to act my age and let my natural gray shine through. I drive two hours/once a month just to see Katie. She is well worth your time!

Ashley is the best! She will get you right every time! Very experienced with curly hair also and helps you find the right products for your hair! She is my therapist and stylist in one. I recommend to everyone! She also specializes in mens haircuts & more!

Booked a curly haircut for 6 year old daughter with Ashley. We had a great experience, Ashley was patient and friendly with daughter, she was very careful in keeping her comfortable and did a great job shaping my daughter's short afro :). Ashley was also really helpful and patient with me as we talked about hair care and styling tips, I learned and unlearned so much!
