The best international market for all your Macedonian, Serbian, Greek, Croatian, Albanian, Romanian, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Polish food products! The produce is fresh and good priced, the groceries, bakery, deli and ready-made foods are amazing, and the Burek is the best I’ve tasted in Metro Detroit. They have a great imported liquor and wine selection as well.

Honestly the employees are so friendly and do the best to satisfy your requests. I am glad they enlarged the parking lot providing more space. Inside offers many different options. Produce is always fresh and full. The deli area offers a few grab and go options the spinach triangles are the best. I don't eat the pastries but they offer a vast selection of sweets. They are always busy but the flow is quick. Only thing that is unnerving are some of the customers who are all about their needs and don't budge. They are a great local place to shop for all your needs without the convenience store prices. A true gem in the neighborhood. Enjoy shopping. So friendly!

I really love their cakes, they look so good and they test really good. I have tried more than one flavor before and they were all great. recently, I tried their new 10 inches caramel cake it looked amazing and it tasted something else! every guest I had, asked me where I got it from!
On the top of that their cakes are cheaper than any other bakery in the area

Wonderful market! Staff is helpful. Pastry desserts and smoked meat are so delicious. Produce is good too. Bread is a hit or miss.

My wife Diana and I love Max's. One of the few places where you can get delicious Macedonian and bulkan foods locally.

If you have never tried Mamas or Domesan Ajvar you need to try it. Absolutely delicious pepper spread! Max's costs less than online and is one of the few places in Michigan where yiu can get this.

Top the ajvar with some delicious Macedonian or Bulgarian feta cheese on a cracker for a complete snack. They sell bulk locally made feta cheese at the deli counter.

Always awesome fresh produce! Prices are very good as well! Clean and now new store! Definitely worth a visit!

I love this place, because I have been shopping here for years. It’s really close to my moms work, so really often she stops by to buy good food items. I especially enjoy the birthday cakes, every birthday for my brother or any other family member, we buy cake at this place. Nice and kind staff, I would recommend it to anyone

The Burek at Max's is one of the best things I've had since moving to Metro Detroit. It is so flakey, crispy, and delicious. I've had the meat, cheese and spinach, and just cheese. Excellent customer service. Max's will become something we treat ourselves to regularly.

I've been their customer for more than a quarter century and I've always been satisfied with their large selection of imported foods! Now it's even better having their own pastries lab.
Yet I have a recommendation for those who love roe fish salad... if you buy the one that I show in the picture, add some fresh lemon juice and mix it. I know this is a "home made" salad, but whoever's preparing it, he/she doesn't know (or follow) the right recipe...

Great place! They have hard to find stuff at great prices. The prepared food is good and fresh. The produce is priced better than most anywhere else and tastes better!
They make awesome cakes and pastries!
If you are Romanian or Serbian you'll love this place... actually I think anyone would love this place. They have good beer and wine and cheese all for great prices also!

My family and I have been coming here for years. The owners are wonderful and the staff is friendly. The burek is my favorite. They also have a variety of different desserts. Hands down! The best market in town! Highly recommended 👍
