Lookout Park

Today, my husband brought me here for the first time! It is so beautiful!!!

You can see for miles around the city. I am so excited to come back again and again as the seasons change. I am going to take a lot of pictures so I can see how the view changes in different seasons and different weather.

I will then post my pics here so everyone can join me as I discover and document how beautiful our city can be when viewed from up above!!!

Simple place but parking area was closed. There's no parking on the street though there was plenty of cars parked there. Has swings that sit at the top that are metal and wide enough for about five people. There's three benches that are in the center and stairs that go down to the city that have been blocked off as they are eroding however this is a very beautiful view and I can imagine sunset here would be beautiful.

A quiet clean park with bench swings, tables, mowed lawns and plenty of space. It's a great place to watch the sunset over grand rapids, it's a small park, but very quiet and well maintained.

I absolutely love coming here to just relax and watch the sunset. The first time I came, I was shocked at how beautiful the view was. They have lots of grassy areas to sit with picnic tables and 2 swings. Plus you can bring your furry pet. Mila definitely loves going with me :)

Nice little park overlooking part of the city and highway, great to go have a different perspective of thw town.

Great view! Some of the benches are blocked by trees but you can still see above. Some more seating options would be nice. Overall it’s a great place to go to either watch the sunset or just enjoy the view.

A beautiful, little park with a great view overlooking downtown Grand Rapids and the Grand River valley.

One of the best sunset spots in GR. Sweeping views of the west side, the Grand River valley below. There are a few benches and a nice park to relax in while waiting for the sun to go down. Pick a night with a few clouds in the sky 30-50% cloud cover at a medium height and you will be rewarded with a beautiful array of pinks, purples, reds and oranges.

Beautiful, open, lovely view. No parking--you need to find something on a nearby street, but a great park.

Great spot for Tuesday evening free yoga held by GR parks and rec. 7pm-7:45pm get here early for close parking and a spot in the shade of the big tree.

This park is really cool and quiet. Very nice place to chill with great views of the city.

Fave little chill spot. Good place to watch fireworks, picnic, etc. 💕

I love the views. Some say that it's not a good place to be after dark but I am not intimidated by some reviews and I have never had any problems here

They have these awesome singing benches. They look new and lovely.

Very nice lookout over the city. Weather was cold so we ran there and back. Park was empty.

This is a way understated Park in GR that is always gorgeous, but especially at sunset. Lots of folks bring blankets, picnics, pups - always a good experience lots of neighbors

I love taking my wife here it's not the nicest part of town but the views are great
