Grand Rapids Public Library - West Side branch

My kids and I frequent the West Leonard branch as we live right down the road. We came to the Westside branch tonight as our local branch is closed on Fridays. We were so impressed by how awesome the children's area is! Toys galore, books galore, so much space! My kids LOVED it! We also were able to get some take-home craft kits that were well stocked. The staff was so kind and accommodating and we will absolutely be back!

I think the main branch here in downtown Grand Rapids is the best Library in Kent County. They have awesome read programs for both children and adults. And the Summer Event series are always awesome. The library is always well staffed with friendly and knowledgeable employees. In its entirety it is always very clean. It's wheelchair accessible, and there is a large parking area.

This Is one of my favorite libraries. They have so much to do for kids they offer crafts. My grandkids and I come here 2xs a week. My deaf grand baby loves all the trains toys and games..

Staff on Bridge branch and Leonard branch are all awesome. Wish they had more than 1 book sale a year though. Now yesterday and again today Dec 2023 went 🔙 again Made an appointment for today with Ady was there for almost 2 hours she was on the 💻 with me navigating the system. So very patient and helpful. I took out a book yesterday never heard of before. Indigenous Peoples True History !

Lots of toys and activities for children. Not too busy very fun

It is a great place for kids, tons of activities and of course books. Morning time is the best time to go. The ladies behind the desk are always so nice and helpful.

Friendly staff, cool historic building, and decent selection. It's easy to get what you would want even if they don't have it. The GRPL system is quite vast.
