Love John Deere stores. They were able to look up the part I purchased the year before and needed again. Clean and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door.

Finally decided to get a riding lawn mower after 40+ years of pushing. Went to Hutson in Lake city and was greeted by a wonderful salesman, Mitchell Bannon. He listened to what I wanted and had decided to buy, but actually suggested the J.D. x390, saving me hundreds of dollars! Then took me outdoors to explain the controls and then I test drove it. No pressure and a great buying experience!!

Best place ever. They know there stuff, they did a excellent job, and they were very timely with there work, and they kept in contact. They never left me in the dark for weeks. I had a john deere diesel engine rebuilt by them and im glad I picked bader and sons. Other places wouldn't touch the motor, and some other places were 10k more to do the work.

These guys rock. Very clean and nice well stocked. Everytime I have called with parts questions they have taken the time to answer all my questions and make sure I thoroughly understood. Often have what is needed in stock and when they order parts over phone they get them right.

I just purchased a new X350 at Bader & Sons in Lake City and could not be happier! I corresponded via email, phone, and in person and received excellent service across all platforms of interaction. I would recommend them over any of the big box stores any day as they will get you in the tractor that is right for you, your property, and your wallet!

Went to parts department, Scott was very helpful with getting the parts we needed and knowledgeable regarding parts. Scott is very friendly and enjoy dealing with him.

I seldom write any reviews but the John Deere tractor and treatment I received at Bader and Sons (Lake city,Mi) was great. We live on a large very steep lake lot with the house in the center. I had a Craftsman 15 hp and the unit blew a rod due to the stress of pulling a trailer up and down the property. It was also unstable on slopes.
I studied every type of tractor sold at Sears, Home Depot etc. It seemed like most of these were actually riding lawn mowers configured like tractors.
When I went to the John Deere dealership the agent, Shawn Marcus, directed me to the X500 unit. This was more expensive but it had the Kawasaki engine and traction control , it was also wider and had larger tires....unfortunately it was more expensive as well.
Shawn told me this would handle the hills on my property so he brought it out and drove it on the steeper slopes without any problem. I have since hooked my trailer to it and used on loads of rocks and dirt...
the locking differential makes all the difference. My craftsman would have one wheel spinning going uphill with the trailer and I would have to unload the dirt etc, with this unit you just step on the peddle and both wheels lock and away you go. I have a separate snowblower so I won't be using this for that but can see the advantage for snow blowing
With my wife's urging I bit the bullet and bought it.
I would say try to other units (I even looked at the Kubota at $9000). If you are looking for a really sturdy unit the 500 series is a great start...plus it has a 4 year warranty

I purchased a 2016 John Deere 1025R, with a 60D mowing deck, H120 FEL, and a 54in Snowblower. I could not be happier with the price, sales and service. Throw in 60 month interest free financing and it just doesn't get any better. My salesman was Scott Harvey and he couldn't have been a nicer guy to deal with! When they delivered the tractor they went over everything and on how to put on and take off the equipment. I highly recommend Bader & Sons of Lake City, MI.

Nice friendly folks at the front desk, stopped in to buy a new grease gun and was pleased with their service.

A very bad day is when you wake up and find that an 80 foot pine tree has fallen and crushed your John Deere 4044R.

A great day is when your 4044R returns home from Bader and Sons's, Lake City as good as, or even better than new! Thanks to Zack and his crew for their great work.

Service personnel friendly, helpful. Plus they had the Packer MAXX cultivator I was looking for! Now I can plant my pasture!
