A great place to roam around on a sunny day! If you go over the train tracks and walk down a little ways, on the left are some trails that follow the creek. It was nice and peaceful, a good place to sit and listen to the birds and the water. Spray yourself down with some deet, the mosquitos were out and about unfortunately.

Saw lots of wildflowers, especially flox 😍. Saw some mayapples too. Heard a lot of birds singing.

There's a lot to explore and there's a nice paved trail looping around the whole park. There were lots of people enjoying the lovely weather.

I love Dwight Lydell park! There is the beautiful and historic water well located next to the library. It was a great location to take pictures when it was my senior year. The Mill Creek Days takes places here Aug 10-12 so it becomes a very festive area. The pavilion is booked very frequently during the summer time for events which is nice to see. Very clean. Also the location where the Comstock Park Public Schools homecoming parade starts. Could probably use more picnic benches but otherwise seating is very nice. And there is a nice open space for things like frisbee or throwing balls. Very nice trails too!

I miss the trees by the creek that were there as I grew up, but the renovations are great too. My two small children, 3 and 6, love the new playground, especially the Jungle Gym.
There is a lot of stuff for Pokémon Go players to check out. The creek is accessible with ducks around and occasionally you can see a train go by.
There is a hot dog restaurant and an ice cream place within walking distance

Beautiful park! The renovation was well worth the wait. My favorite place to sit is at the end of the bridge right up against the river. The perfect place to sit and think! Lovely walking paths as well.

I was a little hesitant with the renovations at first as this was my childhood park but it exceeded my expectations. The park is much more usable for everyone and it feels like a nice cohesive area versus being broken up into sections.

The Railroad Museum at the north end if the park is awesome! Open most Tuesday evenings and one Saturday a month. A must visit for any railroad fan!

First time there. I heard there was a big remodel in recent years and it shows. Everything is nice and new. Bathroom seemed very clean albeit a bit smelly, which was unusual for how well taken care of it looked.

Lots of folks walking and playing with their dogs. All off leash dogs were well behaved. I let my Corgi off leash to play Frisbee and I recalled him when folks / dogs came by. No one seemed nervous or upset.

No pesky bugs around the picnic pavilion area where we had lunch.

Plenty of trash cans that seemed recently emptied.

The playground equipment looked fun, I would have loved it as a kid.

I've been coming here with my parents and grandparents since I was a child. And now I bring my own children here. I've always loved this park. There's a play area for the older kids and a play area for the younger kids. There are two covered pavilions. Men and women's bathroom. A beautiful creek with a nature trail and two bridges to walk across to look at the beautiful scenery. Plus there's an ice cream shop right across the street. Perfect for a picnic date or a playdate with the kids. Also there's always a place to park in the back parking lot.

We rented the shelter for our daughter's graduation party and the setting was great. The park is pretty, has a stream running along the edge, and has a nice walking trail. There's a nice playground, and a bridge that leads to the public library. A bonus is the ice cream place across the street.
