Kim is top of the line stylist. She’s proficient with color, cut and keeping all hair types healthy. My hair was very damaged after years of dying and having 2 babies back to back. My hair is now healthy and growing with the help of my regular appointments with Kim. She is professional while keeping a fun environment. Her shop is very clean and well kept and top of the line, I would not recommend anyone more highly then Kim with Salon Kimistry!!

Kimmie the owner is consistently professional, personable, knowledgeable and always takes care of business. When you come to this salon you are truly in good hands, the owner deeply cares about the health of your hair. She regularly attends conferences to ensure that she remains up to date on the latest techniques and theories as it relates to hair care. It's clear that Kimmie has a creative hairstyling gift. Give her a general idea of how you would like your hair styled and when she's done with your idea mixed with her unique creativity, when the final outcome is revealed you'll do a double take to ensure that it's actually you😊. Salon Kimistry is picturesque, clean, inviting and relaxing. I always look forward to my next appointment because I enjoy the outstanding treatment and service that I receive. I only go here now. As a mixed person, I've only ever experienced people under or over treating my hair because they didn't know how to work with it. Salon Kimistry is THE FIRST salon to consistently give me exactly what I want every time with minimal upkeep. The hairdressers are very nice and fun, the establishment is very clean, and everyone is so knowledgeable about their craft. The prices are also on a huge sign at the desk so you can actually see the estimated cost of all their services. Me and my partner see Tasha because she's amazing at coloring hair.

Caring, Attentive, Professional and Excellent Customer Service:

I’ve been a customer at Salon Kimistry for a few months and I absolutely love the service provided by Kim (Owner/ Hair Stylist), Brittney (Assistant/ Waxing Specialist) and Erin (Massage Therapist). My hair has been all natural for the past seven to eight years, however, since allowing Kim to manage my natural hair I have seen amazing results. My hair has grown longer, become fuller and is more manageable than ever before. The regimen and products Kim uses on my hair has allowed my hair to grow evenly into the natural and healthy hair I envisioned. I appreciate the fact that Kim listens to me when I express my concerns and desired styles. Also, compared to other Salons in the area, Salon Kimistry’s prices are very reasonable. Her knowledge and expertise in natural hair care is exceptional and has allowed my hair to flourish.

Relaxing and Restorative Massage By Erin:

Erin is an excellent, highly skilled and experienced Massage Therapist. During all my appointments, I felt comfortable and relaxed in her care. Even though I often have very tight muscles, Erin has amazing strength and techniques that she uses to ease my tension and provide a truly therapeutic experience. I ABSOLUTELY recommend a massage by Erin.

Kim is so personable and easy to talk to, and I always get exactly what I'm looking for when I request a specific hair style. My hair is the healthiest it has ever been. I will never go anywhere else!

Kim and her assistant were friendly and efficient with time. My daughter has natural twists and Kim did an excellent job with trimming her hair, twisting it and educating us on good products. It was a clean & comfortable environment. We left out with an overall great experience!🌻

Salon Kimistry feels like family! Kim is positive, upbeat, professional, and creative. She is also efficient with her time. She doesn't overbook. She gets you in and out. Her assistants are sweet as pie. Thanks for all you do!

I just tried Salon Kimistry and really enjoyed the experience. First, it is a very beautiful salon without being too over the top- nice and comfortable. I also liked the diversity of both clients and staff (one of the reasons I live in Ypsi.) Seems like they can do any type of hair. It also has a convenient downtown location.

Tasha was my stylist and was an absolute delight! She has an upbeat attitude and is easy to chat with. The new style she suggested fit me perfectly and I am glad I went with it. Prices are very good and they have a nice incentive program for referrals. Overall I am very pleased and would definitely recommend it to others.

I'm new to the area and was so happy to have come across this salon. My hair is natural and very thick. To top that off, I have a pixie haircut. Not only were they able to get me in, they were nice, professional, down to earth, and did a great job on my hair. I wanted another haircut and my hair straightened. My hairdresser was Tasha and she did a phenomenal job!! I would recommend this place to anyone and I already booked several more appointments!

I highly recommend salon Kimistry. The salon provides a very clean and modern atmosphere with talented stylists. I have thick curly hair (3c/4a), Tasha did the fastest and highest quality flat iron I've ever had. My hair is smooth with lots of movement and the products she used smell wonderful. She is very talented and pays close attention to details. Usually it takes at least 2 hours to do my hair and it doesn't always come out right, Tasha did it in half the time and it looks beautiful.

The hours on here are wrong, their website and voice mail both say the hours are Tues-Fri from 9am-6pm and Saturday 8am-5pm. This for some reason thinks they are closed on Tuesday.

Tasha is amazing (which is probably why she's booked 2 months out consistently), and is the only one I trust to make my red look natural. Everyone in the shop is fun and laid back. I've been a client for 4 years now and refuse to let anyone else touch my hair.

well I don't think there is enough room on this page to talk about the the owner and her staff brittany 13 plus years she is phenomenal in every way a professional beautician is and more the shop is beautiful personal, relaxing from the time u walk in the door .I dont care what you there for you out in under 1hour to 45 min.

I am in a pickle with my hair and just went to see if I could pay for a consultation; but I was given advice free of charge and she was just very nice.
