Lake Wobegon Avon Trailhead

I like the little observation tower they have here and there are a few pavilion and a couple restrooms.

Great trail head for having a picnic. Tons of space with over head canopies

This is one of two trailheads on the Lake Woebegone Trail that makes sense. Only this one and the St.Joseph trailhead have a bathroom at the actual trailhead. Maybe I don't want to stop at a gas station, a restaurant, or the library (which is only open for a limited amount of time), before we ride the trail. Plus both directions of the trail are pretty from this site. Lot of lakes and 🌲 trees. There is also a Subway, coffee shop, ice cream shop etc. in Avon. That should settle it right now. Did I mention that this is also the home of Fisher's Club, voted best walleye dinner in Minnesota. Yes, we need to stop there sometime.😁 One of our favorite places to start a bike ride. Also, forgot to mention that in June (around Father's Day) there are several spots along the trail to the West that Lady Slippers grow. And...we have seen loons, herons, egrets, and sandhill cranes. The sandhill cranes were really awesome.

Went up to Albany very nice trail. We will do this one again.

Free parking, real bathrooms with running water, individual picnic shelters, lookout tower for aerial viewing, paved trails, covered stage hosts many local events, large grassy areas, centrally located, near area businesses and a few blocks from the beach and fishing pier.

This is a great place to park and an access the Lake Wobegon trail! They have several sheltered picnic areas and the parking is ample with really good access right on the trail. From this point in Avon you can go either direction and the trail is well maintained. There is a little park right here in Avon so it's so it's pretty it's convenient there's bathroom and a nice public beach close by too; just about everything you could want when hitting the trail!

I ran 6.6 mile from Avon to Albany on it, and then back 6.6 miles, was wonderful!

Excellent bike trail. Fairly flat, pavement is decent most of the time. Although the traffic from I-94 can be heard in many places, much of this trail is out in the country and relaxing.

Great place to access the peaceful and scenic Wobegone bike trail. Check out Middle and Lower Spunk Lakes on the ride.

Nice clean facilities. An observation tower on a bike path? Ya betchya. Large area to relax with picnic tables and restrooms.

Avon is such a nice little town, ans the Lake Wobegon trailhead ia a great rest spot and representation of the trail!
