Kay's Spring Garden

Absolutely love this place!!! My family and I have been ordering from here since forever! The food always stays fresh and the service is super polite and sweet. We've eaten both dine-in and delivery. Regarding delivery, the food is always delivered quite fast and the deliver guy is super sweet. Any fried food we get always tastes fresh and the oil doesn't taste like it's been sitting there. Overall one of my favorite dishes to get (for any mushroom lovers out there) is the Beef with mushroom and vegetable fried rice!

From a professional cook's perspective, this place is absolutely solid! Tbh I think this is my #1 spot for Chinese food in New Jersey! They did everything so righteously!

Always delicious! This is my go to Chinese restaurant! I love that they also offer baby corn with their veggie fried rice! my favorite! They're dumplings are always plump and flavorful! I love to ask for extra dipping sauce.. definitely recommend!

I strongly recommend Kay's spring garden. The place is very clean the staff are wonderful people, the food is very well prepared and delicious especially the fried food you can tell always the it's been fried in clean oil. By far the best Chinese restaurant on congress Avenue I'v tried every single one on the Avenue and my opinion is Kay's is the best 👌.

the food is definitely what you expect from a local inexpensive restaurant: it’s good and satisfying but not jaw-dropping. that being said, i always enjoy the food i get from Kay’s and the lady there is always friendly. super nice & our go-to local chinese takeout spot

I have been ordering for a few years. I love the food they make it's always fresh. The lady who takes the order is very nice. I recommend this restaurant because the rice is not yellow. The rice is like I remember Chinese food from the 90's. When it was tasty. My kids enjoy the food and they only want me to order from Kay Spring Garden.

Best Chinese in the Heights bar none. Great Value and they “cater” to your taste. Tell them how you like it or want it.

They deliver fast and they have brown rice. Need I say more. Interesting fortunes too!

Fantastic service, food quality, and price! The owners are really nice, the food is always so delicious for the price you pay, especially considering how disappointing some of the other restaurants in Central Ave are. Would recommend it! They also accept credit card.

I almost hesitate to write a review and bring any more attention to Kay's Spring Garden, because this place already gets so busy on the weekends they need to take the phone off the hook at times just to keep up with the huge number of orders. But in a neighborhood with many Chinese food options within spitting distance of one another, it's very telling how this place is constantly busy while other Chinese restaurants are empty.

Must tries include: crab Rangoon, Boneless ribs, Singapore Mei fun, garlic bok choy, moo shoo pork, and of course the general tsao's.

But credit is due to the wonderful family running the business -- they are fast, consistent, and lovely during every visit. They've made this my only go-to Chinese place in The Heights

the lady there is very nice, and once gave me extra food. It felt like she was genuinely trying to build a connection between the customer and the establishment which isn’t something you really see these days.

The food itself was one of the better Chinese restaurants I have been to recently and would definitely recommend the orange chicken!

Great Chinese food at affordable prices. The owner is so congenial and helpful. Being a vegetarian I have tried most of their vegan dishes..they are delicious.

Kay's Spring Garden has been around forever. It's been family run for 20yrs plus. Their prices were cheaper in the past but time has gone on. Their prices run similar to what most Chinese Restaurants are charging. Cant complain on that aspect if they are running similar. My favorite orders have always been their boneless spare ribs, Chicken Broccoli, Spare Ribs, or General Tso's Chicken. The flavor has never changed and has always tasted good. Ive been eating from their restaurant occasionally since I 9yrs old and up. My mom had moved to Florida back in the mid 2000's and when she would visit Jersey City this was a must-stop place for her at least once during her visits. The restaurant has and will always be styled the same. Flooring and wall colors have not changed and they maintain a cleanly appearance. They are effective and quick deliverers according to my experiences...

Great, but very cheap on providing condiments such as duck sauce and soysauce. Don't discriminate. Some of like as is, some love it saucy #SauceLover
