Unica Cafe (formly La Unica Bakery and Cafe)

I got the red velvet mini cupcakes, they were a little dry. The chicken unica bowl was delicious, I got mine without jalapeno. We also ordered the avocado bacon and egg toast- very good.

Cute new spot in the neighborhood! Definitely coming back. I had an avocado toast w egg salad. It was very yummy. I didn't really like it served w a sweet side, but no big deal. They have few books, reading corner, big community table at the back and prepared salads/sandwiches etc in the fridge for a quick pick up. Service was friendly and fast.

Hands down - best little gem found . We had Delicious Cuban sandwiches and a waffle plate with egg. Simplicity can sometimes surprise you , in a Good way! Must try if you’re in the area. They serve a little bit of everything. It’s perfect! 5 star rating on chill vibes too.

I was craving something different for lunch and walked into Unica.

I usually just grab an iced coffee & go but decided to try something off their menu.

They have reopened, yay! This cafe is adorable, clean, and they have some great deals for very good food. They also have plenty of indoor seating, but no outdoor as of yet.

When I came by, I grabbed their all day $7 breakfast platter with pancakes, sausage, and eggs, and I wasn't disappointed. I also tried their fruit strawberry kiwi smoothie, which was fresh and not too sweet. Although, next time I'll ask for a little less sugar.

With their big case of pastries staring at me during my wait, I caved in and got the chocolate Hershey's cake. I was also very good, although it would have been nice if they let me know that it contained rum. No biggie, but rum has a very distinct flavor.

Overall, it's a great cafe. They have very nice servers and very reasonably prices. I'll definitely come back!

Amazing! I absolutely fell in love with this place! Recently moved to Jersey City, never found a decent place to order breakfast from on lazy mornings when i just don’t want to do it myself.
Their Green Juice it’s the perfect blend! Just like I would make it! Their 🥓 is crispier than I’ve ever had 🥓!!!! The omelette is not dry, not salty, not too oily! Just PERFECT!

The multigrain Croissant ♥♥♥♥ I could not say one bad thing! And believe me my Ocd is ruthless 🤣😂

And I didn’t even mention what made me fall in love with this place as soon as I opened my delivery! The Green Juice CUP! Omg! Never had such a good quality cup that is able to be sipped or placed a straw in!!! Whaaat? Multifunctional? How many rimes we had that issue!!!??? It was either straw or sip. This place is the BOMB! Quality! Price! Everything is worth it! And yet believe it that im keeping the cup! It feels amazing in your hands! Rich! Smooth! Ughhhh i love this place and I’m already scheduling my dessert for later….I have my eye on that juice strawberry cheesecake! Or should i do red velvet? Hahhaaa who cares? I’ll get one today, get one tomorrow! This place will know my address by heart🤣🤣😂😂😂 they will be sick of me, now that I found them!

Awesome place love it here. I travel from Fort Dix just to eat here sometimes...the new salads are so delicious and fresh. And you really gotta try the new food meals they are offering!!

This place is my go to for something quick while I wait for NJ Transit. So good I in fact don’t get filled with rage if the busses are late since I get more time to enjoy my empanadas or whatever I order

Great little spot in the heights. Fresh and delicious food. Awesome ambience and decor. Customer service was great, staff very polite and flashing nice big smiles. Reasonable prices too! Give it a try and you won’t regret it 😊

Best Guava Pastries! Nice size with a good amount of guava in them. Purchased during COVID times, phone call order, saw outdoor dining only. Place looked clean and well maintained.

Everything about this place is good. They need to fix the toilet though bc you can't put tissue in it or it won't flush. Other than that it's perfect

Central Ave is rapidly becoming a destination for bakeries that also serve as cafes. La Única is the latest to open with a higher end feel, good food and reasonable prices. I highly recommend their mango tea and chicken sandwich (which is a bit Cuban style).

Finally some decent bubble tea in the heights! I still have to try the food options, but them having decent bubble tea for about $4 means I don't have to travel into Hoboken just to get my fix!

I love this place. Everything is so fresh and yummy and the staff is super sweet. The atmosphere inside is very relaxing. Recommend the fu burrito for a big breakfast
