Hermanas Kitchen and Cocktails

As the weather warms, we’re trying to discover more local gems, and Hermanas can be added to that list.

The restaurant very big, but the entrance is slightly deceiving, as there’s a decent amount of seating near the bar. The atmosphere is loud due to there not being anything to dampen the sounds of the lively conversations happening all around the restaurant.

Upon being seated at a high top we were quickly greeted by our server, who gave us a rundown of the menu. I guess she was used to the loud volume and perfectly enunciated everything that she said. No need to repeat anything.

I ordered a pork taco and yuca fries and my two companions each ordered two tacos. We also ordered chips and guac to nosh on while we waited on entrees. The guac was good and the chips were nice, with a generous amount of unevenly distributed salt. The chips were devoured before we were halfway finished with the guac, but we asked for more chips and they were brought to the table, free of charge.

The tacos were juicy and flavorful. The addition of the green sauce that came with the equally delicious yuca fries, made for a nice flavor infusion on the pork taco. I heard that the shrimp taco is great, and the small amount of chicken taco that I tried was surprisingly good.

The tacos were around $6.50 each, which is on the slightly pricier side, but if you’re not starving, two tacos can do the trick.

The drinks and mocktails were great and averaged in the $10-15 range.

If you’re dining on a Friday or Saturday evening, parking might be a parking, as there’s only street parking nearby (I believe) and it fills up fast in the early evening. When we left the restaurant around nine there were several open spaces.

We will return.

Hard not to want to come back here everyday! The specials are always on point here . I had steak and lobster Mac today and wow perfection and I love the wings .. and the staff is very welcoming

Amazing cocktails and great food! This was my first time coming here and I definitely want to come back! Not pictured are the amazing small plates/appetizers we ordered. Started off with the rice balls, they were amazing! The rice balls are filled with cheese so it’s best to let them cool down before eating to really enjoy. Also ordered the white bean dip with plantain chips. THE BEST plantain chips I’ve had! And we had the tostones as well. The chimichurri sauce that comes with the tostones was also amazing! For drinks we got passion fruit margaritas and a mojito which were very well made and delicious! I will say the tacos were ok. My sister had the bowl and she said it was great but the arugula could have used a little dressing to it. Overall I would say this place is amazing with great decor and a nice ambiance. Staff was great too!

Fresh and flavorful ingredients, excellently prepared and plated. I had the Roasted Cauliflower taco, Chicken Taco (swapped in the pineapple salsa for the jalapeño relish), my dining partner had the Truffle Mushroom & Manchego empanadas. We also had maduros, House Made Passion Fruit Iced Tea, and finished with churros. (The tres leches was sold out but will try for it next time.) Nothing was oily or overly sauced. We are folks who usually bring home leftovers but the portions here were perfect for us -all plates were emptied and our bellies very happy. The passion fruit ice tea is packed with a punch of flavor that'll make your ears pop (in a great way).

Lively atmosphere with a great mixed music playlist piped in. Amazing staff ready with smiles and recommendations. We didn't have reservations and were lucky a high table was free (on a Thursday night), but staff recommends reservations.

What’s not to like about this place? After 2 visits I have tried a variety of food items as well as cocktails and everything is amazing. The tacos are some of the best I’ve had on the island. Each one is unique in flavor. The cocktails are well crafted and strong. Service is also fantastic.

First time here and definitely won’t be the last. While they had no tables available we sat at the bar which turned out to be great. The drinks are amazing by a great bartender and the food was wonderful as well, everything was delicious and flavorful. The service was great as well. Highly recommend if in the area ro give this a try.

This place is lovely. On the smaller side so calling ahead for a table isn’t a bad idea. All of the food was delicious; the elote especially has been living rent free in my head since our visit. The margaritas were also notably delicious—I had a classic which was delightful and my partner had the POG, which was super delicious as well. A little out of our price range for regular visits but will definitely be a regular spot for special occasions going forward.

Food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all on point. It is a small place and gets packed on the weekends, so definitely make reservations if you're planning to go on a weekend evening. I will definitely be returning, the Mojitos were made perfectly!

Hermanas is a great little spot in Lindenhurst. Food is always fresh, and the drinks are excellent. They have both great margaritas, as well as cocktails. Hermanas also has a nice choice of local beers on their menu as well. If you’re looking for a new spot, you should give it a try!

Just left after the best meal my partner and I have had in a long time. our waitress was very attentive and even went out of her way to bring me hot sauce and a jalepeno sauce without my asking by noticing my spicy drink choices. I also didn't even really touch the sauces because the food was seasoned so beautifully I forgot about them. To the restaurant staff, thank you for an incredible meal. We will be back

Today was my first time here . A friend and I popped in for lunch . We loved everything. We had a server named Liam .he was fabulous. Food was great, margaritas were delicious. We will be back soon .

Came here for lunch with a friend and we loved it! We shrimp bowls, yucca fries, and maduros. The food was flavorful and you can taste the freshness in the sauces! Their tres leches for dessert was PERFECT. Our server was wonderful! Loved the restaurant’s atmosphere and music as well.

Best Latin American food Ive had in a while! Everything was incredibly tasty, love the accessibility of the menu, the Pow Pow Pow bowls are a must try! Chicken taco was amazing, juicy, just right amount of heat, and beautiful pairing of toppings. The whole menu was very thoughtful. Portions decent. It is also beautiful inside with cute thoughtful touches in decor.

I am not taking away a star for this because the food was so incredible, but I have to mention it as I could still have left with a better impression after they were definitely a bit chintzy with the drink service... As I bartender, I will claim to know what's what! I like to order a strawberry margarita when dining Latin style, and I order a nice silver tequila on the side served neat. This usually does it for me, esp since having a baby and stopping drinking for nine months, I can't put them back like I used to! However, the Marg was like candy, and my neat was less than 2 good full sips... Neat should about 2oz and there is an upcharge for ordering it this way, it should be about two shots, not the 1.5oz it was...

Instead of complaining, I just ordered a second, figuring maybe it was a mistake/fluke. My next also came low, about 1.5oz, (same price, no buy back). All in all my liquor cost was approx $40 on a $75 tab, which I don't necessarily mind paying, I know how expensive things are, but I also like to feel I'm getting my money's worth! If it weren't for this, I would have left this feeling place over the moon! I wish them luck, I heard they opened right before the pandemic, so kudos!

This is my third time coming here and as a Latina, im still impressed with the fresh drinks & fresh foods. If you come here fish tacos and pernil tacos are a must!! And as a women/mom in her thirties! Fresh drinks are a must for me. Want to taste good quality drinks like they just cut the fruit in the back? Come to HERMANAS!!

Everything on the menu is intentional and well put together. You can tell a lot of passion and enthusiasm goes into each item on the menu, the delicious cocktails, the specials as well as the ambiance of the restaurant. Hermanas has an eclectic variety of Spanish dishes and each one is made deliciously. Nothing on the menu disappoints !

One of the most amazing places I’ve eaten at lately. Most outstanding experience in this place is it’s energy. Enthusiasm, attentive service and above all LOVE. It all flows down from the top. Met Christine one of the owners while sitting at the bar. Her bartending skills are top notch. And THEN the food arrived. Each dish an explosion of flavor with well balanced flavors and amazingly well prepared. In summary a must must visit. I would give it a six if that were an option.

Great place. Spoke to one of owners, who was very nice. We showed up about ten minutes before kitchen closed, and they were considerate to make the full menu available.
We all enjoyed their specialty cocktails as well.
I live in New Orleans, and both the food and cocktails are Nola quality.

This is some of the best food I’ve had in Long Island. They’re cocktail menu is unique and tasty. The service is always on point and the atmosphere always enjoyable. It’s been my favorite spot in Lindenhurst since they opened.

Great atmosphere, amazing cocktails, delicious food! The Mezcal Mule and the Espresso Martini are my go to drinks, and the Elote is a must-get snack.
