This review is for Liz, the Hoboken court administrator. She is so fantastic that it made me feel compelled to leave a review in order to make the municipality of Hoboken aware that they have a gem of an employee (which I’m sure they are already aware). Liz really goes above and beyond the call of duty, which helps ease some of that anxiety that naturally comes when dealing with any sort of tickets/traffic violations. So, thank you Liz! Hoboken is lucky to have you!

I received a ticket in Hoboken for Careless Driving from Officer Dummy Badge 168 Officer I'd 1120. His actions during the traffic was unprofessional. I made a complaint to internal affairs. Evidence and testimony sustained my complaint. After that, I was confident that I was achieve the same result in traffic court. I went to court this evening and won my case. The officer lied about numerous things and the state fumble their words. The judge who presided saw that and dismissed their case. My review is posted to show everyone one thing. If you truly believe you didn't commit a violation, fight it. Don't take the plead bargain from the prosecutor. Don't hire these lawyers who charge ridiculous rates. Just be honest and take pics of the suspected violation area. You don't have to have a good memory if you tell the truth. Now.i avoided 3 points and a high fine. There are good cops and then there is Officer Dummy. He did his walk of shame.

I filed a Consumer Fraud Act complaint with the court today. The staff were nice, courteous and helpful. Tammy, the deputy court administrator, walked me through the process of filing the complaint. Once I finished filling out the form, she determined that there was probable cause and immediately scheduled a hearing date for me.

The folks who process traffic violations are surprisingly polite and efficient. I wish the NYC TVB was like them.

I got a false parking ticket for an intra-city offense where my car wasn't even used that day. However, after providing adequate evidence online, I was able to have the case dismissed. Thank you.

Only 14 days to pay a parking ticket until additional fines are incurred, extremely strict parking regulations throughout the city of Hoboken, and very high parking rates per hour make this city far more difficult to park, easier to receive fines, and harder to pay fines than NYC. Just please be aware.

Though in regards to the office, they are quick to pick up the phone and help in whatever way they can.

They are out to get you in this town. Beware. Beware. Beware. They’ll use every justifiable excuse in the book to give you that ticket. Grew up in Hoboken and it got bad about 15 years ago due to the over development in just 1 square mile and influx of New Yorkers and alike, but now? Now don’t turn around and sneeze for a second bcus by the time you turn around you’ll have a $35-$60 ticket!! literally!! They’re raking in the money, taking ever cent they can get. I guess they think everyone’s a millionaire there now so can afford it!! Not true!!

So I got a 35$ ticket for an expired meter. It was my fault and I just wanted to pay the ticket. On the site they give to do online payments, my ticket was not available. I tried to call, and was making a call every 2-3 minutes from 9-10am. No response. My working/college hours do not allow me to go to the court as they close very early and this is the only way I can contact them. It is now 3 days after the due date of my payment and I still haven’t been able to contact them. Expecting my charge to be increased do to late fees. Unbelievable.

This review is related to the ticketing practices in Hoboken, NJ. I have NEVER in my life seen or heard about giving out fines for a WRONG ANGLE parking. Never in my life. I duly paid for my parking, placed my parking confirmation to the front so that it is visible to anyone, left for my doctor's appointment. Came back, and here we go, I find a ticket for a WRONG ANGLE of parking? Excuse me but is someone out of their mind? And of course your only option is to either pay or go to court. I am a sole breadwinner, taking care of a severely ill relative, and came just to see my own doctor. PAID for my parking. Your crazy and absurd fine makes a difference in our family budget, especially for parking that I already paid for!!!!!! Do I have time to go to some court to fight this? Of course I don't and you know it very well so honestly, I consider this practice as severely dishonest, unfair, and wrong. Yes I paid the fine but no, I do not feel guilty by any means. I only paid for it because I cannot afford coming to the court, that's all. I hope whoever invented this genius rule gets rewarded by with his/her own karma. I will avoid going to Hoboken with my car at any cost and seriously think about changing my doctor because coming to Hoboken is simply not worth the stress and the absurdity I experienced in this Ticket Town. The ticket guy must have been hiding behind the corner because the fine was given very shortly after I left. The wrong angle parking is clearly a great way how to quickly and reliably fill in town budget without having to work too hard. Pathetic.

If I could give them zero stars, I definitely would. I received a wrongful ticket in Hoboken Terminal after I discarded my stamped ticket. Now the court claims I owe them $74 for something I PAID for. I'm a full-time student in a different town and they scheduled a court date on a day I have class. When I called to switch the date every women I spoke to was condescending and proceeded to make jokes about my situation and claimed I couldn't change my court date because "it was already changed" which is false since I have a notice stating otherwise. One women even laughed and stated "well lesson learned" after I told her the situation. Now I'm not able to pay for the $74 ticket because in order to set up a payment plan in 2020 you have to show up to the court and by the time I get out of work the court is closed. By far the worst experience to date.

worst people ever. First fix the parking, why is street cleaning literally in the middle of the work day, leaving no parking for those who work in hoboken, who pay you money. Honestly I hate to hear this myself at work, but get up earlier or stay out later to do the street cleaning, dont interfere with other people. Your Police and traffic control literally waiting for anyone to be able to ticket, to make money off of. Just a rude group in general.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Do NOT trust the website’s hours. I was banking on them having “convenient” late hours (open until 9pm) on Tuesday like these types of offices are supposed to have. I even checked the website and it stated that they’re open until 9pm on Tuesdays. AS I TYPE THIS their hours on google says they’re open until 9 pm. I arrived at 3:40 and was told they’re closed.

Call the number on the back of the ticket and it says "you have reached a non-working number" so I look it up on Google and get a slightly different number and call it it says the same thing "you have reached a non-working number." And yet you are supposed to notify the court if you want to plead not guilty at least seven days in advance. The court date looks like it says it's on the 24th which is a Saturday. But there's no way to get ahold of them.

Terrible. There is never a good time to talk to anyone on the phone. They don't start until 9:00 a.m., lunch at noon, and then they shut down at 3:30. The people don't even work until 4:00 p.m.! So between coffee and breaks between Facebook and Candy crush there is no time to pay fines that are ridiculously priced, to pay they people that don't work. Lets be honest they aren't using that money for the roads. Another great thing about Hoboken and the court system is they only give 17 days to pay fines and do not let you pay your fine online. Yes I am unhappy with the system because the system is set up to make people fail and that's just terrible.

Their hours are Monday through Friday 9-4pm yet when you call on a Wed at 10am they are not open. That's ridiculous and a waste of our tax dollars. Where are they? Just sayin'. Oh and they held me ransom after an old motorcycle I sold TWENTY YEARS ago got a ticket a few years ago. I didn't even LIVE in New Jersey any longer (and haven't in 30 years). New Jersey DMV blocked my getting my California license until I paid the fee with interest.

Absolutely awful. A traffic violation that didn't event require a court appearance was escalated to a warrant for my arrest being threatened just because I did not say exactly what the judge wanted to hear. Attempting to argue my innocence made everything 100x worse. Avoid this court at all costs.

I had a not so good experience years ago for a bogus summons handed down by an angry cop. Then when im in front of the judge to plea my case i happened to have my hands in my pockets,a man not in uniform started yelling at me to get my hands out of my pockets in a very threatening manner,i thought he was gonna shoot me or something.I was so shocked i plead guilty as soon as i could to never come back there again.Oh i also noticed all the defendants in orange jump suites were hispanic like me.It sucks being minority.

Instituted bullshit, unconstitutional zero tolerance fines for Hoboken St. Patrick's Day/ Leprecon. C'mon guys, we know it's all about the money, it'd be nice if you didn't rub it in our faces though.
