Dr J Khan is fantastic! Been going to him for over a year now and no complaints. He knows my asthma better than any other doctor I’ve encountered. I’m at the point where I will only speak with him about my asthma rather than my primary or urgent care doctors. He has called to check up on me outside of scheduled appointments. Also if my insurance won’t cover certain prescriptions he helps with samples. Yes there was a wait to get into the practice but it was well worth it. According to my primary at the time she said I was lucky to get an appointment that soon with him. My wait was 3-4 months I guess it’s usually 6. A doctor like him is hard to find.

My doctor is Jehanzeb Khan, and he is terrific. The office staff is very cordial and they take care of my prescriptions right away. The doctor always calls back personally sending results that I have from tests and I have never had any problems with appointments being canceled.and they are terrific with referring me to other specialists and for referring me for tests. I wish all my doctors were this courteous and professional.
I can't speak for anybody else in the practice as I've only seen dr. Khan, but in my opinion is absolutely the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. J. Kahn for about 3 years now and have had nothing but great care. The up front staff as well as the woman who does the testing and Dr Kahn have always been so kind and thorough. I have always had my phone calls returned and I love the communication through the portal. Dr Kahn always seems to care about my progress and my overall health. I appreciate my Dr and his staff. Thank you.

The physicians at this practice are excellent. Dr. Platt and Dr. A. Kahn helped save my life. I had a rare pulmonary condition and they were very knowledgeable and skilled at treating it. They were very responsive to any concerns that I had. I had been to other facilities because of my condition and found these doctors to be at the top of their profession. We are very lucky to have them in this community and I am very grateful.

Waiting for an appt for an ultrasound. Called to be told they didn't accept my ins. So for 3 weeks I have waited for nothing. No wonder your reviews are so poor.

I see Dr. McDonald as my normal doctor and he's fine. The issue I have is that I called twice after hours to talk to the on call doctor as I was in a lot of pain and never received a call back.

So far, ONE STAR IS TOO MANY.
I haven't even made it to an appointment yet and I'm extremely disappointed.
I've been waiting for my appointment to figure out if I have sleep apnea, which you would think is pretty important since every time I stop breathing in my sleep I feel like my body is trying to die.
First, they are for some reason using my emergency contact's phone number, which is odd to me. They have called him to confirm the appointment, which he did press one to confirm.
Then, today is my appointment at 10 am but they have called him again to reschedule. They left a voice mail with a phone number to call back. So I did. But the girl that answered at the number they gave me, sounding like she also just woke up, says I have to call back after 930. It's 830 in the morning.
I had to take time off of work for this appointment. I've been waiting for months for this appointment.
Must be nice to just not have to do your job and probably still get paid, unlike myself. Can I charge a 75 dollar fee for no show?
I'll just go somewhere else.

Just like everyone else, like the doctors however, their downfall is the office staff. I have never been given the run around as I have from this office, all while being rude, condescending, and when questioned on their lack of professionalism will refuse to give their name and hang up on you! Looking for an office that will treat their patients with dignity and respect.

Bar none, the worst office staff in the history of medical offices. Rude, incompetent and could care less about the patient. Trying to get prescriptions refilled is a stroke inducing process, every single time. This time, the operator took it upon himself to gather info from me, which I had to explain to him until I was blue in the face. (This is why you're on hold for half and hour-the wrong person trying to do someone else's job). After all that, he sent it to the wrong pharmacy that never contacted them in the first place. It's been a week now, and still no prescription sent to the actual pharmacy, as usual, which has faxed them twice already. I called back and asked to speak with my provider's secretary, and was eventually connected. Without gathering sufficient info, she said she'd look into it, and hung up on me! Unreal. Read the bad reviews here, they're all true. I've had good providers here, but this office staff has to go!

If I could give this office zero stars, I would. The receptionists are rude, unprofessional and condescending. They treat patients as if they have no other choice but to tolerate their poor attitude. They speak loudly enough for everyone in the waiting room to hear about how much they hate patients. Elizabeth is the worst of all of them. Expect to wait at least an hour for your appointment maybe an hour and a half or more. My prescription wasn’t sent the same day or even the day after my visit - regardless of the fact that I was experiencing extreme discomfort. I had to call the office 4 times asking for it before it even arrived at my pharmacy. Disgraceful. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Dr. Ahmed Khan was extremely knowledgeable & he went out of his way, I felt, to correctly diagnose and make sure I had the proper medicine.
However his staff was frequently rude & inefficient, once rescheduling an appointment without notifying me, and on another occassion left me waiting for 45 minutes without an explanation although I politely asked why the wait. I was told he’ll be in “any minute now”. After 20 minutes, when I asked assertively, I was told his morning hospital rounds were running long, and it would be few more minutes. When I asked why this was not explained to me, as I had other appointments to keep, I was told I was not his only patient and need to understand he has rounds.
I said I understood physicians had rounds, but why schedule me on the morning he has rounds which can sometimes run long in all medical specialties? I was given an eye roll and informed that I requested an early appointment implying this was my fault.
I was to be given the results of tests that day, but could not wait longer as my time was important and scheduled as well. I requested the doctor call me when he got in, and he graciously did.
I left this practice despite my confidence and genuine like of Dr. Khan. It was a shame as it was nothing to do with his care.
He and his partners need to reevaluate their staff, their rules, guidelines & responsibilities for how they treat patients.

I was referred here through my PCM. I saw someone on Sept 1st for severe sleep apnea. Sept 17 I conducted the sleep study at Ellis Sleep Center. Around October 17 I call looking for results and don’t get anything. I’m told the issue lies with the sleep center. I call the sleep center and they tell me they already sent my raw data to the doctors for review. I call every week asking for an update only to be told a board certified doctor must review. I finally said enough is enough and contacted my insurance to file a grievance. Surprisingly all of the sudden my results are reviewed and I’m receiving them in the mail shortly.

I normally don’t write review but whatever you do, DO NOT COME HERE. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE

This place gets no stars. I was bumped because I was a few minutes late and was told they couldn't see me and have to reschedule. I live an hour and 45 minutes away. I was late because of an accident.
You have to walk through a maze in the hospital to get to the practice. We spent more time arguing than it would have taken to see me. Very unprofessional and horrible staff. Definitely would not recommend. They deserve the 2.4 star rating.

Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy! Dr sinha seemed to be the answer to my prayers but just like every other doctor his promises meant nothing. An active person going to the gym twice a day , 5 days a week and he made me think he could help me with my breathing issue , nope thought wrong , tried to tell me to excercise more! Really 1 1/2 hours 5 days a week isn’t enough

Charing $50 dollars for 2 missed appointments one of which was moved without my knowledge and I took time out of my day to show up and be told I missed it and another which I asked to be cancelled. The office staff is always rude and acts like you are inconveniencing them. Providers were pretty good but overall wouldn't look elsewhere...

My mother died under their care at Ellis Hospital ICU. She didn’t die because of their care, but a month of dealing with them at Ellis was itself traumatic. Their administrative support hung up on me after I complained, each doctor who was assigned to ICU had a different prognosis and strategy, they didn’t return phone calls despite repeated requests for help or information and they acted like their were doing us a favor by talking to us at all. I understand that options are limited in Schenectady, but my mother saw these doctors for years -she was loyal to this practice and their staff. And in the end, in my opinion they failed her and her family. They are below average pulmonologists with a real lack of accountability or training in their offices and their staff. They failed my mother and our family. They are, in my opinion, the last group you want caring for your loved ones. Drive to Albany and have peace of mind. These doctors
are the last option.

You will be instantly greeted with rude staff via telephone and even with an approved referral with authorization number, they will tell you that they will call you back. Dont worry though, they wont be calling back. You calling back will only result in another excuse but just further cement the fact that they have no idea whats going on there. You will instantly get the feeling that they do NOT want to do their jobs and other reviews show this as well. Stay away if you actually want to be helped - I feel that I dodged a bullet with this place now and plan on receiving care from a place that isnt run with such laziness and incompetence.

This has got to be one of the most unprofessional practices I've ever been to. Correction tried to get into for over 5 months!

Originally scheduled to see Dr McDonald on 6/25. The office called 2 days before the appointment, rescheduled for 7/5. On 7/3 they called and rescheduled for 7/11.

On 7/10 they rescheduled for 9/30.

And 2 days before the appointment they rescheduled for 10/31. 2 hours before the appointment on Halloween they tried to reschedule again.

I went off! I'm recovering from both lung cancer and a bad cat wreck with damage to chest and sternum (last year was rough!) and also suffering from radiation side effects too. They just don't care!! Now I would not let them touch me with a 10 foot pole they're completely incompetent! I'm filing a complaint with both nys Dept of Health and the medical board
