I loved how beautiful this place is. It has a beautiful new boardwalk that borders the bay with a beautiful view of Staten Island, Brooklyn and Manhattan (in the distance). It's pet friendly and a quiet place to take a beautiful walk or even relax on the beach. I just went there a few hours ago and watched the snow fall. It was breathtaking and very clean with new public bathrooms. It's all free and family friendly. Check it out.

Raritan Bay, located in South Amboy, New Jersey, presents a serene escape from the bustling city life.

The beach appears well-maintained with clear demarcation lines in the sand, likely for vehicle access, which indicates good management. The presence of a paved walkway adjacent to the beach enhances accessibility for visitors, including those with strollers or wheelchairs. The view of the residential area from the beachfront showcases charming houses that enjoy an enviable proximity to the water, contributing to the area's cozy and inviting ambiance. The inclusion of public amenities like benches and restrooms indicates thoughtful planning for visitor comfort.

Overall, Raritan Bay seems to be a delightful spot for a day trip or a quiet weekend getaway, where one can enjoy the natural beauty and calming sounds of the waves.

If you are a mother and live near by the park, you should go! The park is stroller friendly with great paths and great views. Is spacious for children to run free and has a playground. Huge parking lot and bathrooms as well. I love coming here

We came here 1 time for alive music from town in the summer ( usually 1 day per week on weekdays). I really like community near the park and to walk there is so pleasant experience!!! The park itself is nice because it is near the water and long asphalt paths )

We go to this water front park almost every day for our evening stroll. Kids love it, it’s very scenic and offers a long boardwalk with clean shore line.

The water is not suitable for swimming or bathing though. I have seen many people lounging or fishing there.

One of my favorite places to see the sun rise and set. ♡

Great place just a few things to note:

There are a few bridges/walkways that are narrow. If you have dogs that are not friendly towards other dogs this will limit where you can pass.

There is very little shade, on a hot sunny day it is a tough place to be.

Huge open park near beach. There is a place to play for children's. There is a separate path for walk and jogging. We spent our relaxation over there. It is really good place for family. There is a big free parking.

This spot has ones of the best sunrises I've ever seen in my life. The beautiful calm perfect ripples wasva sight I've never seen before. Normally waves are crashing against each other but the orange sun and blue water really felt magical. The park entrance was closed when I got their around 6:20 but the gate closest to the beach left of the residential area was open earlier and I was able to post my camera there.

Maybe the conditions that day were good or maybe this is typical for the area. This was my first visit and I'll definitely have to come back again

Here are some photos I took that day and a short video. Enjoy

Some reason Google maps not showing my video files, so cant upload it with the review but I may be able to separate from the review, look out for it.

Nice waterfront park on the bay. Well maintained, clean county park. Great place for a stroll along the water. Long path along the waterfront.

Large field, perfect for flying drones. Lots of free parking.

Townhomes along the walkway.

I had a lovely time here at this hidden gem. There were a few cars parked by the ocean, but for the most part the beach was empty. It is tiny, but has a bit of washed up wood to sit on. The sand is mostly rocks, the the waves are very gentle, and the views are wonderful. A beautiful escape for a few hours. The Park also has a dog run, kids playground, sports fields, and a bathroom available.

One of the nicest parks I have visited. Waterfront area one of the nicest views. The eagle statue is beautiful. The kids park is not very big but has 2 sections, one for toddlers and for 5-12 years. Very nice.

Clean, peaceful park/beach. I went during the day in October, so it wasn't crowded. People were fishing, exercising, and relaxing. Signs posted say no swimming.

What a beautiful park to visit! My family and I absolutely loved everything about it. There's lots of free parking, a playground for small kids and big kids, a little boardwalk by the beach, gazebos, benches, etc. Also this park is super clean and well kept!

A hidden gem indeed. My parents shopped at a grocery market for 20+ years less than two miles away yet were totally oblivious to this place. Lovely views across the bay towards Staten Island, Brooklyn, other bits of NJ.
If one cranes his neck and stares straight towards the east, a shore of Portugal can be seen on a clear day... I might be exaggerating a bit but so were other reviewers who could see the Manhattan skyline -- it's just too far behind Staten Island.
Still, these are the views to behold, a pleasant, very civilised surprise for anyone who looks downs the dumpy, swampy Raritan shore when crossing it on the NJ Turnpike. The beach is impeccably clean, there are walking paths, both paved and on the beach.
Some grassy bits of the park are chomped down to the roots by the local geese. These birds spend their weekends elsewhere in the estuary but leave their droppings behind.
All in all, a very nice place for an afternoon stroll.

One of the best spots for sunrise with access to water. No crashing waves and beautiful walking paths. Mesmerizing colors at sunrise. They had plenty of parking available as well.
