DeLucia's Brick Oven Pizza

Alright, DeLucia's. We attempted to order three times back in Thanksgiving to no avail. Stopped by today, a random Thursday afternoon around noon and was able to place an order for 5:30. Their oven is a brick/oil system that cannot be replicated in 2023. And it can only hold so many pies at a time. Knowing all this, and knowing that they're doing what they can with what they have, I respect it.

As far as the pizza itself? It lives up to the hype. It's extremely good. Sauce and cheese right up to the edge of the pie, deep golden color on top, and a tangy flavorful sauce. The pepperoni is actually spicy and I put it above the cheese for that alone. Worth the trip and worth the hype. I would get there early and be ready to order and come back later for pickup.

Wow. this place brings back to so many memories growing up in Brooklyn. And always going to the Pizzeria with my family. I’ve heard of this place by luck and pass by it here and there never thought anything about it until I seen it on. One bite with Dave and since he is on point I had to try it! Let’s just say that this place did not disappoint! My family and I enjoyed it. Great food and great service will definitely be back to try different pies and etc. I can see why it’s a place that everyone wants to go to! Anyone can make pizza but only certain people can make a good pizza.

Classic Italian Pizza restaurant. Amazing AMAZING pizza as accurately reviewed by Portnoy. I spent a ton of time in New Haven, CT.. I’ve had amazing pizza at my fingertips living in Connecticut my entire life.. Dealucia’s is up there with the best without question.

Go! Don’t think twice!😍 I heard about this place through social media and the high ratings so I had to drive out here to try it. Well let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. The pizza is heavenly!! I mean it’s crispy, thin, not greasy, delicious flavors in crust, sauce, and the cheese! The staff was super nice, especially the gentleman making the pizza. Heads up: often they’re so busy, they can’t keep up with phone orders so best bet is to show up 30 mins before opening to line up and place order as soon as they open. But trust me, it’s worth the wait!

This place is the definition of quality. It’s very obvious to notice how quality this place is from all aspects of the food. The cheese the crust the sauce are perfectly proportioned. These people show humility and pride with their craft that has remained constant for more than a century. This pizza is absolutely the best thin crust pizza in the world 100% no questions asked.

This place has amazing pizza period. The 1 star reviews are people who didn’t have the organizational skills to get into a busy place early or with a reservation or idk maybe a pickup order? Best pizza I’ve personally had I am making this review on food quality it’s not a fine dining experience it’s what a pizza shop should be. And to the people tearing down the quality can you please say where in the hell you are getting pizza from cause I would love to know.

Noon on a Thursday, walked in, no line, ordered, waited 45 minutes. Super friendly and efficient. Great pizza

I personally thought it was excellent and worth the hype but u have to like this style pizza. super crisp crust (wish it had more sauce), but excellent crust and peppeoni, ok cheese. nice staff and parking is hard so come early. also uou have to order 2-5 hrs ahead of time so call ahead and arrange a time. staff had pizza rdy exactly on time. 40$ for two pepperonis too is reasonable. glad we tried it but family wasnt a fan so will
likely only be back with friends

Best pizza in life. I would wait 2 and a half hours for this pizza with a smile. Incredible. Went in at 4 30, asked for a pizza, walked out with one at 4:50. What else can you want? 9.4

What can I say truly worth the trip? Yes! This Pizzaria is excellent really nice people working there hard-working everything is ready when they say yes it’s a long wait. It’s completely worth it. Just gotta do your timing with calling. Definitely a business that I support and I would definitely come back to great place to go and eat good pizza.

Definitely worth the drive up from Texas! One of the best if not the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten.

Crust was crispy and charred. The tomato sauce was delicious. I’m thinking this will become a tradition whenever I’m in the area.

We tried 3 pies and they were all very good. They make a thin and crisp crust. The sauce, cheese and toppings were all top notch. We ordered one pie to go and they volunteered to 3/4 bake it and leave it uncut to be finished in a home oven. Customers need to understand the high demand for these pizzas, call ahead and expect to have to wait possibly for hours. I assume they sell out daily. "Destination pizza."

Gave this spot a try after seeing it on barstool. Great pizza ! Definitely worth the high rating ! Crispy and tasty. We sat inside, it’s a small place and waited a bit but worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!

Hi! I visited DeLucia's in January 2024. My daughter had tried calling the day before the made a reservation and was told you have to call the day of. She called the next day as soon as they opened and was told she had to call back at 4pm when they re-opened because they wouldn't know until closer to the time. [ I will say, when you call, you often get a busy signal.] We decided to just get there as soon as they opened at 4pm and try to make a reservation for the same day. Luckily we were given a 5:45pm reservation so we went to the closest mall area and hung out there until it was closer to the reservation time.
Seating: The actual seating area is smaller than a usual restaurant. It sits about 8 sets of seating, meaning 2 small tables can be combined to make 8 seating areas. A mixed crowd assembles and eats there.
Food: The pizza is absolutely delicious and worth the wait! The crust is thin so there is a slight crunch to it, which I LOVED!!!
Price: The price was reasonable. Nothing outrageous. Similar to what you would pay for pizza.
Customer Service: The lady who takes your order is nice. The line moves fast if you are ordering, picking up or making a reservation. The waitress was pleasant.
Overall: Great food and nice atmosphere to sit down and eat, just make sure you make a reservation (keep calling and/or go in person, make the reservation and return) unless you are a regular.

Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. Top 5 as of now. In all fairness I need to get back to Brooklyn and do a few more reviews there, which may bring this into a top 10, but now that’s splitting hairs. Being in a top 5 when I’ve eaten at over 1000 different pizzerias if a feat in itself from having pizza in here in NJ, Detroit, NYC, Connecticut, Boston and more. This is a must try place.

The pizza was delicious and crispy. Everyone was really nice. As soon you walked in, the brick oven could be seen.

First saw this place on One Bite Pizza Reviews on YouTube. It is one of the few of the high rated places on Dave's list. Had booked a stay in upper state NY, but my flight landed in Newark Airport. Noticed the drive was about 30+ minutes from the airport so I had to give it a try. All I can say was that the detour drive was more than worth it. It definitely deserves the high rating and I will definitely be back. The regular cheese pizza was amazing and so were the meatballs.
