GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! With the current state of the pharmaceutical industry ( I read Walgreen's is offering a $75,000.00 sign on bonus and still can't get Pharmacists) all of the people who work at Walgreen's in Sussex seem as if they're sincerely trying their best to accommodate all of their customers. Walgreen's pretty much accepts all returns regardless of the reason and if you work the point system, clip coupons and look for online deals, you can't beat their prices. It's nice to have a shopping experience where people actually care especially when a lot of the complaints I've read are out of the employee's control. Maybe it's time we as consumers show a little more patience, compassion and humanity.

I honestly don’t usually write reviews but I really feel that the people in the pharmacy have really gone out of their way to help me. I’ve been able to pick up my prescription with in the hour and they also helped me save a lot of money. There’s definitely a personal feel there. Everyone’s always been kind to me. Thanks Walgreens.

Lynn and Kimberly are amazing associates. They are so very helpful, sweet, amazing, hard working women that go above and beyond to help their customers. They deserve recognition immediately.

I have used curbside pickup twice at this location. My order is ready within 30 minutes, sometimes within 10 minutes! I’ve never waited more than a few minutes and my order is always correct. Employees are masked when they come out and friendly. I definitely recommend the curbside and drive through at this location.

Such a great place to shop, the employees are always so helpful, and the customer service in this store is outstanding.

Always have what I go there for. The manager and staff at the front of the store are super friendly, especially with my 2 kids.
Pharmacy has a little bit of working on to do. Very slow. Few unfriendly techs. Not all. But overall I like it here

TL:DR - Store part is fine. Pharmacy is a train wreck.

To start, I'd like to say all the employees there are friendly, and really trying their best. They are tired. They are underpaid. They are overworked. That being said, the store section (read as: not the pharmacy) is well stocked, organized, and great. Easy to find what you want or need, and check-out is a breeze.

The pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. While yes, I understand they are understaffed, and very busy, it's hazardous. Prescriptions are piled up in bags and bins on the floor, because there are so many. Employees have to dig through them to see if a patient's prescription is in there, which in some instances, it is not. You need to wait at least 10 minutes at the counter before someone spares you a glance, and comes over to see what you want. Then more waiting.

The computer system is often glitched. Sometimes the data I filled out in advance is there, sometimes it's not. Other times, it says something is in stock, and when I get there to pick it up, it's not in stock. There have also been instances where it says the wrong product. Do better, Walgreens.

I've also had the pharmacist try to give me the wrong vaccine TWICE. This could literally be a life-threatening error. Fortunately, I noticed the error before the needle went into my arm. Be sure to read the syringe and/or vial before accepting a vaccine there. If there's any doubt about it, stop them, and start over.

Unfortunately this is one of the only pharmacies my insurance covers, so I need to keep going there. So to sum up: store = fine, pharmacy = watch your assets.

Generally it’s fine, but here’s the problem the pharmacy is closed Saturday and Sunday, but they will accept your prescription sent over from your doctors office. So in this case my daughter has an ear infection the prescription is accepted but I obviously can’t pick it up because the pharmacy is closed. I call the doctor back to have it sent to an open pharmacy and bc it was already accepted by this closed one I have to pay full price instead of my insurance copayment. I can see having limited hours but not being completely shutdown for 2 days

Found it very weird that there were zero vegan options. Even the oat milk latte had fish oil in it. But 5 stars to the gentleman who kindly listened to my complaint and recommended a fantastic vegan restaurant in Augusta.

I wish I could give this “pharmacy” zero stars! Their “pharmacy” hours are absolutely ridiculous. No way to pick up a prescription on Saturday or Sunday. No way to pick up a prescription for an hour in the middle of the day. And now, on a Monday night, I can’t pick up my prescription because the “pharmacy is temporarily closed!” It’s a DRUG STORE! What kind of a “pharmacy” does not have a FULL TIME pharmacist on duty?! First thing in the morning, I am calling my Cardiologist’s office and switching to a real pharmacy where I can actually have my prescription filled and picked up on a regular, reliable basis!
Update. Very foolishly, I thought it would be convenient to get my COVID booster and a flu shot, on my way home from work. So, I scheduled an appointment for 6:00PM on a Friday. At the appointed time I stood at the vaccination counter for a good five minutes.
Someone finally came over to ask what I needed. I explained I was there for my vaccinations. I was told, “Oh, we tried to call you. We don’t have enough staff and had to cancel all the vaccinations today. Sorry.”
Let me reiterate, this Walgreens is NOT a real pharmacy and does not have the staff to function with any sort of reliability.

Beyond description bad. Every time I go thru the drive thru you can plan on at least 20 minutes. As I speak I’ve been behind one car in front of me for 25 minutes. It’s crazy. When you do finally get to the window you can sit there sometimes for another 15 minutes before anyone actually acknowledges your there.

I would not give a one if I did not have to. They are the most incompetent people and want everyone else to do their job. They are unable to help when given over a month and I will never use this place again. They need to close it or find more helpful people.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The last two times I went to pick up my prescription after waiting an EXTRA DAY, it still WASN’T READY. Apparently, my time isn’t important, because both times when I went to pick them up, I was asked if I wanted to wait, after deliberately waiting the extra day to avoid this in the first place. So, I went back again this morning. To my horror, the pharmacy is completely shut down for the weekend. Locked up tight. So, I asked the one employee I could find in the store, what was going on. She apologized and said that they only have one pharmacist, and “corporate” decided this was the solution. Walgreens is a chain. Corporate couldn’t send a pharmacist from another Walgreens to fill in? What am I supposed to do now? I was supposed to start my medication Friday, and now I have to wait until Monday. There is no one in the pharmacy at all, so I can’t have the prescription sent somewhere else. I’m sure I won’t be the only person affected by this ridiculous decision. Wantage residents, don’t patronize this store unless you enjoy lousy service.

This pharmacy sucks! Understaffed and always out of prescriptions. Closed on weekends (what if people need their medicine) went the other day was told my refill would be ready by noon. When I got there they told me script was out of stock. After being told it would be refilled I had to drive to another walgreens location that actually had it in stock. Corporate needs to go into this place and do a complete overhaul. Used to be great when it was rite aid. Now they're the absolute worst

Staff is polite and friendly but that’s about all I have to say positively. Recently we had to pick up a prescription and had to wait several days because their computers were down or something. You’d think in regards to people’s medication that there would be some kind of contingency plan in place. Tonight I went to pick up another prescription after it was sent 4 days ago- how in the world does a pharmacy close for the weekend?- and it still wasn’t ready. I had to wait 20 minutes, which isn’t the end of the world but that’s kind of frustrating to have to wait at the end of a very long day for a prescription that was sent 4 days ago. Everybody that got to the counter after me while I waited, had the same problem. Luckily I was just there for antibiotics but what about the people who take something really important?

only reason why I go to this Walgreens for my disposable cameras is because they give the free CD. there’s nothing the staff can do at all about getting my pictures to arrive any sooner, but after three weeks of waiting and not hearing, I call every couple of days to see if the pictures have arrived instead of me wasting my gas and driving down there to find out they still haven’t come in. The lady on the phone sounds like I’m ruining her day every single time I call. I completely understand having to wait a week or two but three weeks??? And then to catch an attitude with me when I call asking about my pictures in a very polite way?? Do I want to be harassing Walgreens about my pictures, NO. Do I understand the staff can’t do anything about them not arriving, YES. I’m really not trying to be a pain but don’t be rude and act like I’m inconveniencing you when I just want to know the status of my order.

This pharmacy is a total nightmare. If your doctor calls in a prescription on a Friday, expect to not have it filled by Monday due to this Walgreens being closed ALL WEEKEND LONG. Why? No other pharmacies in the area are closed on both Saturdays and Sunday’s. The drive-thru half the time has a “pharmacist not on duty” sign in the window even during opening hours. Something needs to change here.

The Walgreens' system allowed me to select a vaccination appointment at 359 state rt 23 for today Saturday it even sent me a reminder. I drove there to find out their pharmacy is close on Saturdays! I will never go back, what the heck Walgreens get you system right and for pharmacies to be on Saturday!? I ended going to CVS not too far and got my vaccine without an appointment!
