I stopped in for breakfast on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. German and traditional American breakfast items are on the menu. The pretzel roll is incredible. They also make an egg sandwich on a grilled donut just in case you aren't watching your figure! I'm tempted to try it next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they are remodeling so it should be even nicer when it's done. I'll be back for dessert in the near future.

This bakery is the most amazing of all time! The family owned and operated business has a serious commitment to quality, to service, and to satisfaction of their customers! We have been coming here forever, and they will treat you like gold! Each month we order their famous chocolate butter cream/yellow sponge cake traditional birthday cakes. The roses and other decorations are impeccable, and they’d never skimp on icing or filling. Go here! A+++++

Great food I tried the Sauerbraten and it was delicious. I also had a slice of German cake for dessert that was moist and chocolaty. Their food was so delicious I decided to have breakfast there as well. During my next visit I tried the Brat special with Curry ketchup, if you're been to Berlin this will hit the spot. On an even more special sidenote they has my favorite beer straight from Munich Augustiner-brau, I apparently bought the last six but was informed they do have it on tap at the beirgarten next door which I plan on visiting next. PROST!

The best German bakery that I have found. The breads, the pastries, the pies and cakes are amazing and they make a delicious breakfast.

I had heard good thing about breakfast so we tried it. Was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. We ate in and it was a great atmosphere, the service was wonderful and the food tasted better than I had hoped for. Will definitely be coming back soon

A local favorite great selection for all your sweet tooth needs. My first time back since they renovated and had game egg and cheese on a croissant off there breakfast menu. Man probably one of the best sandwiches I had in some time.

I've been coming to this bakery since the early '90s when I only worked but didn't live in the area. I still have yet to find a better brownie, and the staff is warm and accommodating. The breakfast sandwiches are insanely good as well. I've never had anything from here that I didn't enjoy.

I just got the biggest party Cannoli freshly made for my seventh grandchild. It was his christening. It was such a hit. The presentation was beautiful. So many cannolis I got an extra box of them. Then I saw the Fourth of July cake and got that too. It was FRESH. THANK YOU Black Forest Bakery for helping make the party even gayer.

Baked good are great. Wonderful selection of yummy baked treats. The pretzel rolls are great. It is an old fashioned bakery. The kind that is disappearing all too quickly. The breakfast and brunch menu has a good selection of german specialitys as well as the standard bacon egg and cheese on a roll. Parking on the street is kinda tight but there is parking in the rear...

I got my grooms cake done by them and it was perfect! my husband was so surprised, he loved the green bay packers and chocolate/peanut butter. So i got him a fondant peanut butter and chocolate cake shaped as the green bay packers uniform with his favorite players name and number on it. It was a hit I even liked it and I don't like peanut butter! They also did my wedding cake which we did upgrades for and it was also a hit! It was a June wedding but it was a Halloween theme cake with vanilla cannoli and blueberry in it! They are also re creating our top tier as we speak! i love them and will send anyone here!

Love this place. Take the dog for a walk and sit with my lady and my pet outside. The customer service is amazing and the breakfast is not only delicious, but way under priced. Must go and see it for yourself. Eat until you are stuffed for $14.00 that's for 2 people.

Gorgeous, and delicious seaside wedding cake ! We had cannoli, rum cake filling. It was moist, and delicious!! Everyone complimented me on my cake. It was the focal point, beside the view of our venue!

The breakfast is awesome. Takes a little long but fresh and quality food takes time. You also cant beat the price for what you get. They now have a small cafe area where you can dine-in.

Old-style German bakery with delectable delights. I purchased an assortment of a dozen items. Each one flew out of the box as soon as I opened it for the event.

They're German chocolate cake is the best deal in Long Island and it is absolutely to die for including their pretzel rolls which are approximately $1 each this is an authentic beautiful German bakery that you don't want to miss

The best egg sandwiches in town. Every thing that I have tried is excellent, and those chocolate chip cookies and Lindzer tarts, wow! The staff is friendly and courteous.

This place is amazing all around. Their bakery is second to none, but the reason for writing my review is I just had their egg sandwich and it is probably the best egg sandwich I ever had. Love this place!

Last time I stopped into the bakery to pick up some stuff I notice they had a breakfast menu posted in the window & inside. So I grabbed a copy of the menu to take with me to check it out. A couple of items sounded great & I knew I had to try it out sometime.

Well today was that time. I needed a loaf of rye so I ordered breakfast, too. I got one of their specialties, The Steuben. It's a sandwich with Leberkäse & two fried eggs on large slices of toasted rye bread. And it comes with home fries & coffee or OJ, all for $8 bucks.

Wow! Delicious! Very different 'cause you're not gonna find another deli or diner that serves this. One thing I might change next time I order it is to get the rye untoasted because it was "toasted" on the grill so the bread is greasy. So you can't pick it up & eat it . . . you need a knife & fork like you would with a Monte Cristo kind of sandwich at a diner.

But it definitely hit the spot . . . and I actually cut mine in half and saved half my platter for tomorrow.

I was surprised at how busy their breakfast crowd was . . . lots of guys coming in to grab breakfast sandwiches including some stopping in to pick up orders they had called in. You can also sit and eat your breakfast there as well if you'd like in a small seating area with tables & chairs that is set up in a separate room - Nice!

PS - And I also saw they have a cold cuts & wurst menu because they now sell Karl Ehmer's products . . . so you can save yourself a trip out to Patchogue or Seaford. ;)

I've lived in this town all my life and just now realized that Black Forest Bakery makes breakfast sandwiches. WOW! They were so amazing. Picked up pies and cookies. How could you not ? :)
