Absolute gem for food, bar & atmosphere. Book a table. Go. Or better yet don’t go! More room for me at this boutique restaurant that is a bastion of deliciousness amidst the touristy options. Saratoga is lucky to have this authentic Italian restaurant to enjoy.

Last weekend, the hubby and I joined a couple of friends for dinner Saturday night at Taverna Novo.
First note, this is a small space - reservations highly recommended! I emailed them early in the week and was lucky to score a table for 4 close to the time I wanted.

We had a fabulous experience- the food, service, and overall environment combined to make for a terrific and fun night out.

Bread service with dipping oil is the start of the evening. We followed this with appetizers - stuffed mushrooms, short rib ravioli, and a special appetizer of the evening - a burrata dish with crostini. The others reported that the mushrooms were delicious and I can vouch for the ravioli- a very large portion of 8 or 9 good sized pieces filled with tender short rib and covered in braised mushrooms and a pan sauce. Highly recommend! Burrata was also yummy. Caesar salad was huge - enough for us all to have some.

Next were our entrees - one wood fired pizza, one eggplant parm, and one bucatini amatriciana. The meatlover pizza was good, nothing over the top, but good. Eggplant parm was very good; served with a side of pasta, both topped with a thick and delicious homemade marinara sauce. Huge portion that came home. The bucatini was also said to be awesome - good to the last drop! Well flavored and another large portion. Potatoes ordered as a side were simple but delicious. Highly recommend.

We ordered 2 portions of the specialty dessert - an Irish bread pudding. There are no words for how good this was. We were told it usually runs out quickly. I only wish I had ordered my own instead of agreeing to share with the hubby.

A highly recommended Italian restaurant in a quiet neighborhood of Saratoga. I'm so glad we checked this place out. Their outdoor patio is beautiful lit with plenty of shade. We order two pizzas to share and it was just enough for 4 people. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other dishes on their menu.

Taverna Nova is phenomenal. Everything was delicious- I’d say one of my top 5 fave dishes comes from here (it’s the pistachio cheesecake for me). Quaint but absolutely perfect for a delicious meal. I love how they have specials, try at least one special, it was worth it.
Start off with wood fired bread and crusty wood fired pizza, we loved the chicken parm pizza. Entrees we chose were orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, penne alla vodka and Chianti braised short rib ragu.
Dessert was a must based on all the amazing options and we loved the death by chocolate cake and current special chocolate bomba. My absolute favorite thing was the pistachio cheesecake, I’d eat it a thousand times over.
A must try in Saratoga.

The food is wonderful. The waitstaff was young and a bit inexperienced, but it did not put a damper on the meal. I would recommend Taverna Novo if your in Saratoga and want good Italian food.

It was are first time there but won’t be are last. Dinner was delicious. I had the eggplant parm. Was so yummy one of the best I have had. Great sauce! . My husband had one of the veal chops said it was the bomb!! Great service by Jason. We can’t wait to come back!!!

This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time and we dine out frequently. Bartender was so pleasant, attentive, and he clearly took pride in this restaurant. The food was AMAZING and the portions were huge. Also, an amazing wine list for a small restaurant. So glad we stumbled upon this place. We will absolutely be back.

My daughter and I found this wonderful place last year on our trip to Saratoga Springs. When we came back this year. We know exactly where we wanted to eat. She has celiac disease and they are so knowledgeable and helpful. Great service would highly recommend.

We love Taverna Novo! They have a great 2-sided menu of seasonal staple, a weekly "also eligible " specials menu, and an extensive wine list curated by one of the top wine professionals in the country. Everything is hand crafted, delicious, and plentiful. The restaurant is small and tucked away in the Beekman Street arts district on the west side of town, and fits maybe 40 guests at a single time. Being cramped among other diners is the only drawback, but we usually make new friends at other tables, every time we visit. The wait staff is both professional and "chill," and offer the little touches of napkin folding, name recollection, and door-holding. Getting a reservation during track season is like winning the golden Wonka ticket, and their Feast of Seven Fishes leading into Christmas is a real treat. I don't dare share the photos of tonight's visit, since we took them half way through devouring them. The owner, chefs, and wait staff are true industry veterans and make each visit a special experience.

This was our first time visiting, and may i say the food and atmosphere is amazing! We had the meatballs and burrata caprese for starters and didn’t leave anything on our plates, for dinner i had the chicken ala vodka and once again left nothing on my plate! The chicken melts in your mouth!!! My boyfriend had the chicken ala vodka pizza and loved his meal too! This is my new favorite spot in saratoga! Cannot recommend enough! Will be coming here as much as possible from now on!!!!!

Did takeout with a classic spaghetti and meatballs. Really flavorful sauce and well seasoned meatballs. Generous portion.
Had the pistachio cheesecake for desert, yummy! Will be returning and exploring the menu.

What a wonderful place. We stopped by on our way back from Canada and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating (we didn't have reservations and they were booked but squeezed us in). Food, atmosphere, everything was fantastic. We will definitely be back when visiting our son at college nearby.

My daughter and I had just driven 7 hrs from Toronto during a monsoon and randomly chose this restaurant. What a delightful dinner we had as we tried to de-compress after that drive. Jason, the manager, was just fantastic, all-around. Food was delicious, atmosphere intimate but very friendly. It was exactly what we needed. Would return here in a heart beat!

The location that houses Tevarna Novo has been one of our favorite destinations even before they were there! So glad this restaurant restablishes our favorite go to. Great bar crowd, wine selection, tremendous whiskey selection, and wood fired oven only complement the outstanding service and quality you find here.

Great food, super staff. Lasgna fantastic!! Delicious wine list. A hidden gem. Gluten free options are tasty.

Stopped in on a recent visit to the area without reservations, and we were welcomed in with open arms. The bartender was very professional and attentive with great suggestions as to which beers we would like (he wasn't wrong). The hostess meeting us was friendly, smart and funny and even gave us some college tips advice for my son. The food selection menu was extensive and looked tasty. When we finally got our plates, the food was both delectable and the portions were sizable, just like a fantastic, genuinely cooked, Italian family meal. Perfect! Will definitely be back again.

Best kept top notch neighborhood bar in Saratoga. Creative, fresh ingredients, friendly staff you can laugh with, responsible and responsive ownership, and a creative variety of wine and beverages. Put Taverna Novo on your must-go Saratoga list! Love this place!

This place is such a gem. We happen to have a VRBO around the corner from this place. We just got into town and wanted a place to eat that was close and we didn't need to get in a car. When we first walked in, I knew it was great because it was packed. We had 7PM reservations and were taken immediately to our seats. It was a two seater, but definitely large enough for all the food we wanted on our table. We ordered appetizers: Mushrooms and Burratta Nova. Both were delicious. We also had bread ($3.00), but with delicious oil and spices.
Our waitress came over immediately with a huge smile on her face, and Kassendra never failed us. She new exactly what we needed and made sure we got it quickly.
Lasagna and margarita pizza was ordered, and came out quickly and hot, so kudos to back staff and chefs. Both were excellent and plentiful; we took home leftovers. And although I wanted dessert, albeit even to take home, I resisted :).
Everything was great here. I would highly suggest coming here. Although there is street parking, there was no issues as we walked down the street. Must make a reservation if you are looking for specific times, or larger tables. We will definitely come here when we are in Saratoga.

We had a great meal, with excellent wine and outstanding service. The pizza was perfectly crisped, with fresh tasty toppings, and the lasagna was tasty and a huge portion. The only negative is that the room is small and noisy. We were seated next to the door, but staff closed it as the evening cooled; nevertheless, there was a lot of in and out traffic. Parking is a bit of an issue. Overall, we had a great meal, and we will go back.
