Only 18 seats in this petite restaurant, making it a great dining experience. Food is top notch and the wine pairing is always spot on! Make it a point to go there for your birthday and be surprised!

The food, drink and service is outstanding! Ben Sukle has brought a delightful menu to this quaint location. A true, fresh to table restaurant, all items that can be harvested locally... are. The menu is short and sweet, turned based on the season (and product availability) and delivered in four courses. The wine pairing is spot on, informative and fun at the same time. 18 seats allow for a personal experience -which delights the palat. Prepare for an hour and one half of a pampered dining experience. Highly recommended and reservations are necessary.

small place with lots of flavors... 4 course prix fixe menu (with a sourdough bread interlude between the 2nd and 3rd course). freshest ingredients and everything is used and not discarded (ie. the bones of the fish become broth, the leaves of the cauliflower becomes part of the sauce, etc.). amazing service ... because it's like eating at the bar in a restaurant. good wines and drinks as well.

only thing is that you have to have one extra thing or you'll still be hungry (we always get the grilled cabbage as an extra side dish instead of as a main course). reservations are a must.

This is one of the restaurants you must visit in Providence. Especially if you’re solo traveler or want to spend the time alone. The food was beyond perfect, and the staff were super nice. I’m very glad that I found this place. ❤

An amazing fine dining experience! From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, each bite is an experience to be savored. I had the marinated shellfish, mussels, duck and fresh cow’s milk cheese. Each dish had a balance between flavors that complimented and contrasted. For example, the mussels started as slightly tart but then gave way to a nutty savoriness with the mussels and their salinity creating a bridge between the flavors. The fresh cow’s milk cheese was a fantastically savory dessert where rich, sweet, creamy cheese married with the savory and sweet onions. It was really artfully executed. The same kind of dynamic playfulness can be experienced in the Remors cocktail that combines the peaty smoke of Islay scotch with the sea flavors of nori.

Wow, 🔥. This was the best meal I had in 2019, a year marked by great meals and self indulgence. Food, awesome. Drink pairings, on point and remarkable (my thirty-and-a-half decades on Earth have not allotted me nearly as interesting of stories as the wine pairings came with). Closest comparison for me is Le Pigeon in Portland, mostly for feel but also for quality. Just wow, top 5 meals of my life.

The service was fantastic, very knowledgable and kind. A very cozy atmosphere of only 18 seats. They have a wonderful bar menu with delicious Beers, Sakes and Wines. The food was phenomenal, very complex and all of the flavors worked perfectly together. One of the best restaurants in providence and I would suggest anyone give it a try.

Super cool trendy food spot! My boyfriend and I love this place. The menu changes quite often so you're likely to have a new set of options every time you go. Set up into courses, with only one or two wait staff, sets the tone for a nice intimate dinner with a loved one or great place to calm down the night after a long day at work. There are only twelve seats so deff get a reservation beforehand!

Easily one of the best meals I've had the pleasure of experiencing. We opted for the beverage pairings with our 4 course meal (highly recommend this option), and settled in as the staff carefully and articulately walked us through a culinary experience they were clearly very passionate about. Portions were perfect, and there seemed barely a second we weren't eating or being introduced to some aspect of the next course. I'll be back any time I'm in Providence.

Birch is an intimate 12 seat dining space which does a 4 course tasting menu based on local ingredients and surprising combinations. I've been here a few times and am never disappointed but I highly suggest a reservation as it's such a small space. The staff is very well informed and down to earth- they really bring warmth to what could otherwise be a sterile experience. Because the space is so intimate (12 seats around a U shaped bar) you get a lot of interaction with the staff and they're more than happy to educate guests on ingredients without ever talking down to you. The plates are on the smaller side but they're well paced so you come away feeling full despite the portions.

Small place. Make reservations! Providence has a lot to choose from, and this is a good choice. Not flashy, but a solid menu executed very well. Very nice wine list. Service was excellent.

Great food in stylish surroundings. Prices were fair if you compare to prices in Europe and especially Denmark for dining tasty.

Staff were nice and very professional. They knew a lot about the food and wines.

Birch is a Michelin-level experience. The food this place puts out is second-to-none. It's easily the best restaurant in PVD (aside from North but they are cheaper- different thing) and it's all offered in a really non-fussy environment that is a really nice shift from the uptight air that permeates what I think of as the typical fine-dining restaurant. Get the wine pairing- it's phenomenal.

The space is small, but I'll go ahead and just describe it as intimate. It is basically bar seating around 2 servers. What it lacks in space it makes up for with some flavorfully prepared farm to table dishes that will satisfy even the most discerning pallette. Definitely check this place out... And definitely make reservations.

Excellent food and service. Wonderful small space. Servings are small tastings, not for those who like large hearty dishes and do not appreciate nuanced delicate dishes.
