45 Surfside Bakery and Café

My husband and I had our wedding on Nantucket last weekend. Being from out of state, we did not get to taste test the strawberry grand marnier cake before our wedding day. There was absolutely no need to worry, this was probably the best cake we’ve ever had. Thank you 45 surfside!

Last-minute cake does not disappoint! Forgot to order a cake for my husband's birthday. I did a search on "best cakes in Nantucket" in a Facebook group and the ones at 45 Surfside were highly ranked. I was able to email an order in the morning and my cake was ready (and personalized) hours later. I can't believe how easy it was to arrange! Everyone who saw the cake was in awe and it tasted even better than it looked. Great cake and great service! Looking forward to the next birthday!

I think I found my new favorite sandwich spot on Nantucket. The wraps were so good and we loved the Caesar salad. I'm glad I stumbled across this and tried something new.

Best Buffalo chicken wrap I’ve ever had and excellent açaí bowl to finish off the meal. Would highly recommend.

My fiance (now husband) and I chose 45 Surfside to make our wedding cake and it was one of the best decisions we made! The cake was absolutely delicious (Strawberry Grand Marnier), not to mention what a beautiful job they did decorating it with flowers from Soiree Floral. Many of our guests commented that it was the best cake they'd ever had, let alone wedding cake! Portia was such a pleasure to work with - we wish we could do it all over again! This place is delicious. If you live on Nantucket you probably already go here, if you’re visiting, this is the food place you were looking for that’s not in town. The service is fast and friendly, the coffee was great and the food was delicious.
It was recommended to me to get the Tom Brady on Rye bread. So do that if you want. I had a breakfast burrito and it was perfect. It’s really set up for couples or three people, there was a huge table in the middle of the room for bigger parties or if you just want to sit and eat next to a stranger. I did that because it makes for a better adventure.

Amazing food, including the best crispy bacon in town, and Pelan is the fastest person I’ve ever seen behind a counter. Great service great menu choices, and a perfect option for those not right downtown. It’s practically my office.

The food was great there was no wait time they were actually pretty quick and bringing out our meal I had a breakfast sandwich with fried egg and bacon I highly recommend this place for any visitors that are out of town it’s got a small hometown feel the wall decor is great I would definitely be going back here soon the coffee is good and hot The prices are fair for the area I loved everything about this place they have a wide variety of breakfast to satisfy anyone’s needs

This place has amazing food. From there breakfast burrito and freshly baked muffins…… to there street corn nachos only available in the summer this place has a very creative menu and the staff is always so friendly!

Possibly the most chill breakfast nook in Nantucket. Many of their breakfast burritos have been demolished, and many a conversation about partying too hard the night before has been shared over coffee. Like, GOOD coffee, not some of that bottled, store-bought malarkey. Love this place!!

We usually get breakfast here. The sandwiches are delicious and the baked items tasty. Love it.

Tom Brady (sandwich) seems to be the most popular. Little heavy on the mayo. You get fresh chips, or what seems to be kettle chips, on dine in. Seems to be quality ingredients. Baked goods are decent but the sandwiches are the star. They have a few soups available too. The menu fits on a blackboard so not huge but that’s fine as there’s usually not a long wait.

The dining room is clean and spacious. A few outdoor seats are available. The wait time for food is reasonable even during a rush. Parking is easy most of the time especially by Nantucket standards.

The breakfast burrito was delicious. I had the same thing from Yummy the day before and thought this one was a little better. It’s not as big in size but it is very hearty and I appreciate that there is less filler (rice) compared with the Yummy breakfast burrito. Get an iced coffee and sit outside while you wait!

The cakes I have ordered have been amazing, everyone loved them! We also love the Tom Brady, the grilled cheese and the chicken cesar salad. But really everything we’ve tried at 45 is delicious. Friendly fast service too!👏

I got in touch with the owner of 45 Surfside to order a cake for my niece's first birthday party in Nantucket. She responded quickly and took my order over email. The cake she made was gorgeous and delicious. We couldn't be happier and will come back for more orders in the future!

Best coffee place in town, love love love the food!!! I come here every morning around 6:30am before work half awake every morning I see Pelion beautiful smile and it makes me feel good to actually be awake! If you haven’t tried their coffee, desserts, or actual food you really are missing out! Pelin is fast with my orders and remembers all of it by heart! You can’t ask for better customer service!
