Stop & Shop

Very good grocery store in Nantucket to take care of all your food/drink/kitchen needs. Wide selection, helpful staff and a big parking lot. Feel like this spot is always busy no matter what time I show up.

Evil people work here. They have moved everything around just to torture customers. The place is filled with glaze-eyed lost shoppers crying in confusion. Don't go here alone, you might never find your way out. ;)

Excellent hot food bar, and they have hot soup and chili, and it's a grocery store so they have sandwiches wraps and subs and everything else

For a busy store, they do a great job limiting capacity and are all incredibly polite Yes, some shoppers are one-way-aisle challenged but staff are helpful. I'd add there are a few directional dead ends, particularly where the butcher counter and bfrad intersect. However the front end staff is helpful and friendly and do a wonderful job of making one feel welcome.

As a side suggestion, having a trash can inside of the entrance for cart wipes would be helpful. Otherwise one wipes their cart and either has to go back against incoming traffic of put the dirty wipe in ones pocket for disposal on exit.

I think it is the best stocked supermarket on the island, with easy parking. When I was on the island I usually got all my groceries there. I also believe the prices were the most reasonable compared to the other stores.

Positive experience:
Kenney from the seafood department knew how to give me what I wanted...an unopened box of salmon ( for smoking at home). Courteous fast and friendly. Unfortunately he only works afternoon to evening. There are more guys like him needed!

Big store, everybody can buy many items that he needs

When you are on Nantucket you don't have too much choice. Stop and Shop is the best place where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables and everything that you need. In summer they have a lot of J1 students. People who work there are very friendly and helpful.

Good selection of foods at low prices for Nantucket. Employees are polite and helpful.
The place can get crowded, but this is understandable, since so many people want to get there food here.

Very busy here at peak hours you may want to go when it's not. But still great place to shop for groceries

It's been 15 years since I have been shopping 🛍 at stop&shop and I found it to be very convenient, and I always got the stuff that I needed. If it's not in store they will source it for you...so many to choose from, "You will shop till you drop"

Good once you get there, I walked and some of the road has no sidewalks. Unless you dont have a car, I'd drive or bike down to it.

No matter what time of the day it is, everyone goes out of their way to help. Even when I go at 11pm and everyone is focused on restocking, people are kind and helpful.

Small but manages to contain all the essentials, plus a meat and deli department that's more on par with Whole Foods than with mainland Stop & Shop. Prime beef, quail, emu, and duck are all available in abundance.

Not like u have a choice living on therock not liking the app why bother having cards I prefer the card I have been a customer since 1972 anyone using the card should get the same discounts period
