Dr Wilson was great, she answered all out questions as new owners of an African Grey Parrot. She was very straight forward with Woody’s health status, gave us options, and private time to discuss the direction we wanted to go with his care. Woody stayed in the hospital for an infection. Everyone was very kind and helpful, from the Vet Tech, to the receptionists that took our daily calls to check on him!! Never once felt like we were a bother. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We've been to Animal and Avian in the past and been pleased so it made sense to go to them when we got a dog recently.

I was a good experience. Dr. Wilson and Chelsea were very calming for our anxious girl, Sugar. Both ladies are very knowledgeable and helped us learn training techniques for our reactive dog who is a rescue. They did a thorough physical exam and made suggestions regarding feeding and maintaining a healthy weight.

Animal and Avian Medical Center was clean, had a spacious waiting room and pleasant staff. It will be our "go to" for Sugar.

Dr. Martin is awesome. He was treating our Labradoodle Bo for some serious skin issues when he took a turn for the worse. He navigated that fine line of delivering terrible news while offering treatment options with compassion and expertise. He wouldn’t tell us what to do, rather presented all the options, costs, and expected outcomes. He was also super thorough with his exams. Sadly, Bo crossed the bridge but we won’t take our pets anywhere else.

So I just wanted to write a review because when I initially took my cat here I was kinda concerned about all the bad reviews they get. But then I realized most of the bad reviews came from bird or other exotic pet owners that had bad experiences, which I think is really only due to the fact that those animals are less researched so there’s only so much a vet can do for them. I came here to say that I really had the absolute best experience with my cat here. My regular vet suggested this place because they were fully booked and my cat had his second urinary blockage and needed immediate medical attention. They told me to come in right after I called and I met with Dr. Wilson and I literally cannot even express how grateful I am that Dr. Wilson and the rest of the team did EVERYTHING they could possibly do for my cat. We decided to try the PU surgery for my cat (he’s only 2 years old) and it didn’t work because of some complications. He stayed at the vet for weeks and I was trying to mentally prepare myself because we were thinking we were going to have to put him down. Well Dr. Wilson was not going to let that happen to such a young cat so she tried another surgery that so far (it’s been about a month) has been successful and we are hoping for a full life for my kitty while he’s on a prescription diet. He’s finally back to his old self and I could never thank Dr. Wilson and the rest of the team enough. And one thing I wanted to note was the entire staff are the sweetest people ever and care so much about the animals that come in there. That means a lot to know my little guy was well taken care of there especially because of how understaffed everywhere is right now and I could tell that they always had a lot going on. Even though my kitty had a ridiculous haircut we are so so so so grateful.

Dr. Wilson is the best!! She was able to diagnose what was wrong with our dog and recommended a great plan of action. We are always treated like family when we are there. We feel that our dog receives the best care. Thank you, Dr. Wilson and Animal Avian for your great service.

Love the staff at Animal and Avian! Each doctor and Vet tech my dog has seen has been thorough and knowledgeable- trying to get to the root of any issue. Over the last four years we’ve experienced nothing but compassionate, thorough and friendly care. The front desk staff is particularly helpful and patient with my multiple questions! Even when we had to go elsewhere for specialized treatment the staff has been concerned about outcomes. They truly seem to care about all the pets (and humans) they serve.

I have been a customer with Animal & Avian since 2003 and I will never change vets. All of the doctors have always been exceptional with our pets - especially Dr. Wilson and Dr. Martin (they've been the ones we've worked with the most.) The service from the staff is always great and they have treated our pets exactly as we would. I can't recommend Animal & Avian enough!

Everyone who works here are so loving and compassionate. They treated my hound dog "Elvis" for over thirteen years. I unfortunately had to make a very difficult decision and they were so understanding and helpful. They really helped me through a very difficult time.

I have always had a great experience here with the staff. The most recent experience was the most impactful. My rat needed two tumors removed and Dr. Palomar was extremely sweet and patient with me as a very nervous rat mom. She answered all questions I had about the surgery and even came out to see me off with my rat afterward. I would recommend Dr. Palomar and Animal and Avian Medical Center to anyone who has an exotic pet!

This was only my second time at this clinic and I am very impressed with the efficiency, professionalism and personableness of all the staff - from the desk employees, the techs and the doctors! They squeezed my pet in as an emergency visit and gave me a clear plan to consider for diagnosing the cause of her illness. I discussed it with the tech and modified it and then, they were able to find the cause and then Dr. Kirby discussed the treatment plan with me very thoroughly. This will definitely be my new veterinary clinic!

Brought our elderly ferret here for a second opinion after a horrible experience with his previous provider. They treated us with such care and compassion! When it came time for the rainbow bridge, the experience was handled in the most empathetic manner possible by the entire staff. Thank you to Animal and Avian for being a trustworthy and caring practice for our community to rely on!

I love the care I receive from Animal and Avian Medical Center. Dr. Wilson & her staff are fantastic at treating my fur-babies. My one kitty is 13 yrs old and is diabetic. Dr. Wilson is very thorough with treating him. Everyone knows how crazy I am about my cats; Dr. Wilson & Chelsea were very compassionate when I lost my sweet baby girl to cancer last February, which was heartbreaking for me. (she was at a monitored, overnight clinic.) The front desk staff is awesome too, very kind and helpful. I will always take my fur-babies here!!

Dr. Palomar is fantastic. I drove about 50 minutes to get here because our regular vet was full, and I didn’t know what to expect. I brought my rabbit, Joey, in for a bout of stasis, and she was thorough when trying to identify the cause. Within 24 hours, he was back to himself, and they called to check in and see how he was doing twice. She is a very caring, knowledgeable vet for rabbits. Thank you!!

Compassionate and the price was great. I'll be recommending them in the future!! Thank you so much for helping me with the end of life for our German Shepherd.

Dr. Palomar is a fantastic vet. She always takes such great care of my cats, even the one who is never happy to be there. She has taken great care of my rabbits when I had them. I followed her from VMA. Rabbit vets are a specialty, because rabbits are so sensitive, you can't treat them like other animals. She is compassionate and comforting. She works with me and my budget for the best outcome for my cats. The ladies at the front desk work hard, and they are busy, but kind and patient with everyone who comes up to the desk.

My rabbit crashed overnight and they made sure to squeeze me in today to be seen. Unfortunately, my sweet boy did not make it. From the second I walked in everyone was very kind and I appreciate the staff so much for trying their best to save him. I will forever recommend this place. Thank you for all you do.

I have been a customer here for close to 20 years and won't ever change vets. The staff and doctors are all VERY sweet to my pets, and they're always professional and kind no matter the circumstance. They're very gentle with my pets and you can tell that they are all animal lovers and that this isn't just a job for any of them. I can't recommend Animal and Avian enough.

I truly appreciate this clinic. Again, I was charged a lot less for the visit since it was a follow-up and Dr. Martin was very thorough and answered my questions. Everyone at this office really cares about our pets and us and it shows!

The staff is so incredibly friendly and sweet. I have taken every single one of my animals I have had to them, from my tortoise to my cats and dog. They've been amazing with any procedure any of my animals have needed. They've comforted my family when we've had to put down pets, and they always go above and beyond with the care of the patients as well as their patients families.

I highly recommend this Vet clinic to anyone looking for someone to care for your fur-babies! I used to live in Brunswick when I was a child, and moved away 13 years ago when I got married. My family always took our pets to Animal and Avian growing up, and we only ever had positive experiences! Over the past 13 years, with now living in Michigan, I had to find a new vet, I tried several practices, and was never satisfied. Today I decided to drive 2.5 hours to see Animal and Avian again, and am so excited and relieved I did. There are new faces, but I was treated like family, just like I remember. Their prices are standard to the field, but their care is above par. They were quick to get me in for my emergency, and I will never go anywhere else from now on, I am happy to drive 2.5 hours for their care! Thank you again Animal and Avian!
