Fantastic food, beer and service -- a must-have when visiting Providence.

We dined on the pickle plate, beef tartare, and chicken schnitzel sandwich; a small, medium, and large plating, by the restaurant's measurements. This was not only a fantastic array of flavors, but also a fantastic portioning amount for the two of us to split, at a very reasonable price. We also had two flights from the superb draft selection. Many good choices for all sorts of varieties, from the familiar to the more experimental palettes. For dessert, we had the peach upside-down cake. I usually don't go for desserts at restaurants, but this was incredible. A delectable blend of savory and sweet tastes and textures.

The service was extremely prompt considering the dishes and number of guests that night. The atmosphere was pleasant and not overwhelming, with music at an acceptable volume, and, despite the crowd, surprisingly minimal din.

Overall, I give this restaurant outstanding marks in all categories.

6/7

Bayberry beer hall has a great atmosphere for drinks or a night out. The food was very good, and you can tell there is a lot of attention to detail put into everyday dish.

The food was ridiculously good. We sat at the bar and the waitress was so nice; the food took a while to arrive but when it did, it was stunning. We got the dumplings and the seared gnocchi. The gnocchi was surprising and delicious; it is heavy but the flavors were great!

Great spot for some great beer. Atmosphere is fantastic, prices are reasonable, go with a group or make friends while you are there. All the employees were knowledgeable about the beer selection and super friendly. The food was great that we ordered and service was prompt. Will def go again.

Spectacular chefs here with a great menu every time. A good combination of fancy and casual. I love being able to see into the kitchen. It’s kind of counter service. You place your order at the bar and they bring it over to your table.

Very well made. Helpful staff. Plenty of seating.
The food took a little while to come out but the drinks were quick.
Appropriate for both adults and kids. A couple at the outdoor seating had a dog with them. A little hard to park around here.

Edit; the last time i just came here the food took a reasonable amount of time to come out. They maybe hired more staff in the kitchen or they may have been behind the previous time i visited.

Great food, good beer variety, cool place! The chicken and waffles was probably the best non-traditional take on it that I've ever had. Although I was skeptical at first, the dill pickle relish was a delicious addition to the main sweet and spicy flavors. Very highly recommended!

Excellent, highly recommend! Great local beer choices. Flights of beer are a great way of trying a few different options. Food was really good as well, particularly the fries. Staff was super friendly and service was really fast. Dog friendly outside along the wall. Street is a bit busy for nervous dogs.

My happy place. The beer options are unique and adventurous. The food is funky and fun. The staff has always been about the best you will find in Providence. And the couple who own it seem like really nice people. It can get SUPER busy at times (but I think they may take reservations at time so that could be an option if you arent sure). And for all of these superlatives, its actually not outrageously pricey.

We went to Barberry's for brunch about 1pm on a Saturday. I got the chicken and waffles. It was good. Everyone got different food. Their portions were quite generous. You self go to your table, read the menu then self order. They were pretty fast with serving. Very pleasant place.

My girlfriend and I try to come to Bayberry every weekend (they even recognize us now lol), there’s nowhere like it in Providence! Everything we’ve tried from the menu exceeds our expectations, especially the deviled eggs and lamb pasta. We heard there’s potential for them to close soon, which shatters our heart, so definitely get in ASAP!! We hope it stays as Bayberry Beer Hall more than anything :)
It’s worth it to mention I wish I knew the bartender’s name with the blonde hair, but I’ve still yet to get it! She’s the sweetest to us every time we see her and constantly gives her full attention no matter how busy it gets. You can tell the people who work here love their jobs, which makes the experience all the better.

My son asked me today whether "this place" (Bayberry) was a brewery (no), restaurant (no?), or bar (no?). I had no answer, really, and it was a fair question. My wife suggested "food hall", but that neglected the beer. We never did really answer that question well.

But I can tell you this; Bayberry Beer Hall offers lots of craft beer from New York and north, on draught and in cans, plenty of very nicely prepared sandwiches and entrees, and does so in a really cool space with both indoor and outdoor seating.

I liked my spicy fried chicken sandwich very much. The fries were also excellent and the pickles amazing. My wife loved her grass fed beef burger, and my son was very happy with chicken dumplings. The sourdough pretzel we started with might have been a bit plain, but the mustard spread (might have had butter in it?) really made it worthwhile in the end.

The beer selection was really impressive, and the bar staff seemed to know quite a bit about it. We had a few samplers and were much happier with the samples they picked for us than with the ones we chose ourselves.

What surprised me the most was Bayberry's ice cream. There were only three flavors offered, and we tried the Golden Milk (for my wife) and the Black Raspberry Chip (for me). I'm no fan of golden milk in general, with its tumeric and peppery flavor, but my wife loved it. My raspberry, though, was one of the best fruit flavored ice creams I've had, and I eat, and review, a lot of ice creams. It had white chocolate chips in it as well as what appeared to be dark chocolate shavings. Delicious.

Bayberry is only open from 4pm on during the week, though, which means lunch isn't an option, which is a shame, because I'd like to come back for another meal before we head south back home in a few days.

It's a great place and we'll visit again next time we're up this way.

Our first stop on a visit from out of town and it didn’t disappoint for one second! Amazing beer list for me and cocktails for my lady. We got the Portuguese sweet bread, chicken biscuit, & huevos rancheros add roasted pork. The house hot sauce was a great touch. Can’t wait to make it back!

Bayberry is a large, open beer hall with an amazing beer selection and a refined ambiance. They typically have 14 beers on tap and many more in bottles. The space is very clean and most of the decorations are plants, giving the space a vibrant but chill atmosphere. The best and biggest surprise is the food, though. Some of the dishes, particularly the spicy chicken sandwich, are as good as you can find anywhere in Providence. It’s not cheap, but the quality is so high that it doesn’t matter. Check this place out!

Pretzel, beer and chicken sandwich were amazing. Love that they have rotating ice cream flavors! The lemon blueberry lavender ice cream was perfection!

Very hipster modern place. Bayberry contains alot of beers, wines, and foods to try. Very spacious place. Nice place to meet with friends and share an experience over some great beers or wines or even some good food. Not only do they have some great beers and wines their food is good as well. They have snacks, desserts, appetizers or entrees. There menu selections and draft beers change periodically which is cool too. The staff is very helpful and explains the menu too you if they run out of anything. I found some new personal favorites of beers while having a great time with some friends. Definitely will be back here again. I highly suggest the "beer flight" where you can try 3 5oz portions of what's on draft for beer. Place can get packed after 5 or 6 during the week. Cant imagine this place on Fri-Sunday night must be very hectic.

Amazing atmosphere and very great decor. The beer was solid and the staff were super friendly. We had the chicken sandwich and it was underwhelming. I spilled my beer and someone brought me a brand new one!

Let start by saying absolutely the best bacon I have had in a long time. Had brunch here with a friend and it was delicious! I ordered the Farmers Breakfast and she had the Eggs Benedict. The portions are good and the food absolutely delicious. Everything about the food was good, the biscuits were nice and buttery, the hollandaise was creamy and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The decor was very inviting and hip. I will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles!

Great ambience, the smash burger was fantastic, the Nashville hot chicken was good but not really 'Nashville hot'. Beer selection was varied and reasonably priced.

A very nice restaurant. My husband likes the rotating beer selection, and we always leave with full happy bellies. The menu is fun- definitely not pub food like I initially expected.

My favorite menu item is the steak tartar, I find that along with the pretzel it makes a very good combination. My husband is loyal to the burger.

The seating is interesting. There are smaller tables around the edge of the room, and larger long tables in the middle. If it's busy, you will be seated next to another party at the long tables. You can also make reservations.

This spot has become our default "don't know what I want to eat but want to go out" place.
