Amazing shop with plenty of personality!
I met the owner- BE AWARE!!
****they are closed for the summer! They will reopen in October, with new inventory :) the owner himself told me they will be closed for the summer so be aware of this!***
Anyway- he opened the store specially for me & my friend, graced us with stories of his expeditions and explanations of the formations of rocks/gems when I asked.
They not only have precious gem stones that were harvested locally, but an amazing collection of dinosaur bones (available to purchase), fossils, books, minerals sold by the pound and more!
I definitely recommend checking this shop out- they are very reasonably priced and you never know what you might learn from the treasure hunter who runs the store :)

I love this place. I took my daughter from Germany there on her visit to the states and she loved it. There are so many different types of souvenirs and if you love rocks, it's that much better. The owner is very knowledgeable, very friendly and we enjoyed our visit. Great prices as well! It's a little out of the way and hard to find, but worth the trip!

Best stop on our weekend camping trip! So many great rocks and fossils to admire/buy and Ron told us all the cool things about the rocks and Supes. And got to say hello to the friendliest lil horse next door.

Ron is very friendly and knowledgeable on the topics of rocks, fossils and minerals. His pricing is fair and far better than the stores you will find in Old Town Scottsdale. I highly recommend taking the time to drive out to Mammoth Mine Rock Shop. It is one of the best places to purchase either rough or finished material. This will be a regular visit for us on our trips to the Phoenix area.

Hands down, the most awesome place for rock enthusiasts! Wide assortment of specimens, both from Arizona and elsewhere. Amazing selection, and the owner is both knowledgeable and super friendly. I wanted to get one of everything lol but settled for a beautiful amethyst and bit of turquoise. Forgot one I wanted, guess that means I'll be coming back on my next trip to town!

This shop was an absolute highlight of a recent trip to AZ - incredible collection, unique pieces for sale, & reasonable prices! I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Ron - learning about his different specimens & hearing many stories of places we've both travelled. Definitely worth the stop!

If you're looking for the real deal, you have come to the right place. Not only is the owner an incredibly knowledgeable person, but he is also incredibly kind. I have had several wonderful opportunities to talk with Ron, and for a person who lives close to central Phoenix, this store is well worth the drive for me. I honestly cannot express how great of a store this is. The building is ancient. The stones are cool. Ron is practically a cowboy. It's insane. Much love for this store and the genuine person that owns it. 10/10.

Very interesting shop with rare finds and local rocks. It was a pleasure to talk with Ron.

Run by the real deal, Ron Feldman. Miner, rockhound, dutchman hunter. Also runs the OK Corral horseback service, taking explorers into the Superstition Mountains.

This was our first time here. There will be many more. The selection, while not overly broad, is wonderful. The quality of the items is what you will come here for. Some of the stuff he has here belongs in a museum. We had an incredible time talking to Ron. He is VERY knowledgeable and is willing to share. When you come out here make time to just look at the scenery. It truly is in God's country.

This is by far one of the best rock shops we have visited. The owner Ron offers a wealth of information on the subject of rocks, minerals and mining. He has even published books on the subject. I am sure we will be back again when on the area.

If you want a genuine rock shop geared toward collectors, this is the place. Owner Ron is a salt-of-the-earth local who is a clearly an expert and very passionate. Aside from the amazing pieces displayed inside the shop, there are boxes of bulk, raw material just outside the shop that are priced by the pound. Love the pictures/newspaper cutouts throughout the shop of the owner's involvement in the local mining/geology/exploration activities. Not overpriced or a kitschy, "healing crystal/astrology" type of rock shop that you find in the touristy shopping areas. 10/10 would recommend.

We were lucky enough to visit when Ron was there because he's a walking Gold history buff for the region.
If Ron has time, he is happy to answer any questions you may have about minerals, gems and especially Gold.
Ron is also an author and his books are great reads. Don't be shy to ask because he will autograph his books for you.
My husband indulges my rockhound spirit but this is one shop he's happy that I "dragged" him to.
We visited a few rock shops in the area and this was our favorite.
Ron & Sweet Lady- the invite to WyoDakota Stands! We'll be in touch!

My son and I really enjoyed visiting with Ron and learning more about the rock specimens and fossils in his shop. The shop has a wide selection at reasonable prices. We will definitely stop in next time we are in the area. Highly recommend this shop to all fellow rock hounds and fossil hunters.

Awesome place! the raptor head on the wall kind of freaked me out, but Ron was so cool to meet. I love rocks and geology of the area so this was like being a kid in a candy shop

Saw some really neat raw copper ore and gold from his mine. Also learned a lot of neat things about the lost Dutchman. Ron is definitely an expert! My son got a cool geode and my mom got copper bracelet.

Absolutely beautiful rocks and gems. Gorgeous jewelry too. Horseback riding rentals right next door looks like fun. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner.

Awesome place! A must stop, if going to Goldfield Ghost town, and like rocks/gems. Just meeting Ron is worth the trip.....get the inside scoop on the lost Dutchman mine! A+
