This is my favorite place to enjoy quiet and serenity. It’s so nice with the animal noises and all the greenery. There’s hardly anyone there ever so it’s nice and secluded. It has a nice little spot to sit and read about the old native communities on the land and some facts and information about them and the surrounding area.

Incredible spot! Arundo donax seems to have taken over, but the person responsible for this site should be proud because it feels like youre somewhere else when you're here. Went on a hot day and the shade and breeze was amazing. We did got off trail and boy was the spider webs massive.lol

Definitely a special place enshrouded in history. Take time to wander the paths, watch the birds, and listen to the sounds of running water. Very peaceful and serene. The trail has shade and benches along the way and numerous signs showcasing the native plants, trees, wildlife, and history of the Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Act.

When you get to the end of the trail definitely take in the scenery and read about the history of the Akimel O'otham and Pee Posh people and their culture.

We had made a late last minute stop at this place...Sun was setting so I took a few good shots before we lost light.
It was a beautiful quiet place with wildlife...Ducks, geese, etc.

Plenty of parking in a rocky lot, with lighting. They are strictly open to 5 and gate closes right after. There are restrooms but no water fountain. I saw some interpretive signs and also some old artifacts by the canal.
If you go the left, you can cross a small bridge and walk by the canal. No shade, nothing too scenic.
If you go the right, there's a gravel path with a bunch of overgrown vegetation on the side. I got a strange vibe from the spot, so I did not further explore go too deep down that path. Nothing too exciting- just seemed to go along the canal.

was ok but the walkways need to be cleared off, my grandsons were afraid to go through most of the over grown brush, so more maintenance needs to happen here I'm sure I'm not the only one voice their concern over this.
