Gilligan's Seafood

Wow. I was looking for a low key seafood place for lunch and ran across Gilligan's. Don't be put off by the appearance, this place has great and fresh food. We had the fish dinner and the crab cakes, and both were better than what we've had in much more expensive restaurants in the area. The back deck is also nice in how it overlooks the bay. It's rustic, but lends itself well to the fish camp atmosphere. It's not fancy, it's not pretentious, it's just really good seafood at a good price.

So much food!! I ordered the oysters and my mom got the crab cakes. Mom said it was the best crab cakes she's ever had! I like when there's not a ton of seasoning so you can actually taste the food and this place did it right. Nice views from the outside deck.

This place is a cute little dive with a waterside view. We dined on a Wednesday eve around 6pm. No one here when we arrived but started to get a bit busier. Food was OUTSTANDING. My sister and I could not get over the perfection in the fried oysters and fried shrimp dinners. It is difficult to fry seafood without over or under cooking and these folks have it hands down. Condiments were high quality, cocktail and tartar sauce, fresh Lemons. Jambalaya spiced perfectly. Staff were extremely accommodating...I think a Jamaican accent. If you want good seafood at a great price, generous portions, and aren't looking for some special gluten-free, organic, soy substitute, low carb, non-dairy, ethical food, this REAL WHOLE food is the place for your taste buds and your wallet with a seaside ambiance if you want it! There is inside seating too. ENJOY!

The place was rustic nostalgic. Staff was really nice and patient. And the food was very delicious, filling, and you get a very nice portion. Will definitely come here again.

It was not as many people there during the time me and my wife entered the establishment but was greeted by the waitress as we entered. We ordered our food and within 10 minutes after ordering our food was served up to us. Everything we had ordered was very Delicious 😋.

This was a very nice place to eat. It looks much smaller from the outside but was very spacious inside.
There is seating outside as well with a nice view of the water if you prefer that.
The staff was very friendly and eager to please and the food itself was very good.
We had the Fried Calmari for our starter and Fried shrimp (which was all you can eat) and the Shrimp Po Boy.
Everything tasted great and came out hot and fresh.
I would recommend this place. It had a nice "fish house" feel to it and overall the experience was excellent.

The food was priced appropriately for the quality of food. I had the pick two with the coconut shrimp and fried fish. The BEST fish I've ever had. Also, by far the best sweat tea in Florida!! Staff was great and it was the start of the off season so we had the patio and beautiful sunset mostly to ourselves.

Wow what a gem! Don't let the exterior fool you. This place serves some great food. We had fried shrimp and fish, and both were excellent. Not greasy or heavy, just right. Fast and friendly service and a great atmosphere with indoor air conditioned and open air outdoor dining. You won't be disappointed this is a must for any Destin vacation!

The food and staff are amazing! Terrific view to compliment the food. The fish is super fresh and the portions are large! The onion rings are possibly the best I've eaten. If you like fried pickles, they are also fantastic!

This is one of our old school places in Destin. We come here for Crab Legs and Oysters for a better price than on down the boardwalk. Outdoor seating with no smoking. Service is on point. 10/10 will do it again... Also, when we rent our boat (we have one now, so haven't in a few years), this is the place. Very clean, great staff.

Great food. Local craft beer selection. Nice sized portions. Very fair pricing. Staff very friendly. Wish we found this place sooner than our last day here!

There is very nice Jamaican young woman waited on us, she told us about the food we wanted to get. Food was good and hot.

So glad we found this place! The guys that take your order are hilarious and made us smile. The food was AMAZING! You must try the jambalaya! It is the best. We had the grilled shrimp dinner, fried shrimp dinner, fish tacos and fried grouper. Not one complaint and we cleaned our plates!

This place is fantastic! The fried obion rings were fantastic! The fried mahi was fantastic! The fried redfish was fantastic! The blackened chicken tacos were....yep....you guessed it.....fantastic!!

We have been coming to Gilligan's for years. We love their food and the atmosphere is amazing. The nighttime views are the best. Food to check out: Shrimp Po Boy, fish of the day, the most amazing hush puppies and our kids love the popcorn shrimp.

Great place to eat, and had no wait getting in. Food on our table in 10 minutes. Good seafood, good menu choices, friendly staff, I highly recommended.

Dont let the outside fool you, It doesn't look like much outside, but the inside and food is worth it!!!!
We had Mahi Mahi, crab cakes, gumbo, and oysters and we could not ask for a better lunch/supper!!!

Seaside seafood bar and grill. Prices are moderate and the menu definitely goes from standard seafood to chicken fingers so they have a large variety.
They also do specialty dishes like red beans & rice, seafood gumbo, & jambalaya.

Very accommodating the hostess altered the food selection to fit my dietary needs. The grilled fish was excellent. The restaurant has a funky local vibe out of the 60 but at the same time the restrooms were redone and imaculately clean! Enjoyed our visit the view of the harbor was great.
