Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House

We came to this beachside spot based on the reviews, and it delivered! The Bloody Mary had some cool fixings. There were the typical olives and celery, but they also included pickled okra and shrimp that were both DELICIOUS! The beef brisket Sammy was smoked and sweet. The fries addictive. We also had the Rockefeller oysters that hit the spot. And we tried the feta dip, which came out hot and creamy! Overall great location, great service, free parking, and good food!

Listen....I will always come for the "Oysters Rockefeller" the best Ive had so far! The food is good, love the views of the water and as expected seafood will always be pricey, but when its good you don't mind splurging! The collard greens are delish I wish they would add some kind of ho cakes or corn muffins to accompany them, as they don't offer the option to order a side of hush puppies.

Flavorful raw oysters! Really hits the spot. Mind were shucked very clean. In season and as big as the cracker - first time getting stuffed full from a dozen oysters. Server was personable, wish I knew his name. Sat on the outdoor section while it was drizzling. Highly recommend the seasonal bread pudding, oysters, and gumbo. Calamari could use more seasoning and be less fried.

We waited for about an hour to be seated but it didn't feel like it. There was a live band playing and people watching was awesome. The outdoor waiting area was comfortable and spacious. Our food was amazing and our server Caitlin was top notch. Her recommendations were on point. Hats off to the chef!

I visited the Destin area and I knew I had to come to Boshamps. I came here years ago and I remember the food being so good. I can honestly say that this recent visit definitely did not disappoint. I started off with the gumbo which was full of more seafood than rice. It was absolutely great and very warm/comforting on the cool beach night. I ordered the Pan Sauteed Gulf Snapper and it was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this dish to anyone and it's the best thing i've had so far this year. So flavorful and I found myself eating the entire plate. If my work travel calls me to visit the panhandle again I will definitely stop by Boshamps.

Wow!!! Can’t say enough. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The interior is deceptively large. Don’t be in a rush and after your done, or before, go check out the rear dock area.

Had pan fried Grouper and it was phenomenal!!!

The Corn chowder but surprisingly sweeter than I was ready for. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding! Corn Crab Soup, Oysters Rockefeller, Oysters Boshamps, grouper and snapper dinners were out of this world! And, our professional server, Jamie, is the best! She walked us through the menu, since it was our 1st time in Destin and at Boshamps! We will definitely be back before we head home!!! Our compliments to the Chef, kitchen, and Ms. Jamie!! Thank you

This is my fave restaurant in Destin and/or of all times...I just love the laid back beach vibes but how it still offers the freshest and best grouper which is my fave fish! It's one of the most expensive restaurants in Destin and there's usually a long wait but worth it!

There's also a private beach in the back that you can sit by and the kids can play in while you wait for your table. There's usually a live band playing there too.

Start to finish 5/5. Seafood lovers paradise / Fantastic bourbon selection. Beyond thrilled with my experience here. Just Wow!

The prices are a little higher but so worth it. The quality is top notch. We had the snapper two different ways. Amazing! The oysters were the best we've had here. Service excellent. Right on the bay with great views.

So to start off, I’d like to say thanks to Douglas and the rest of the staff for a wonderful experience. Regardless of the hour and a half wait that I had, which wasn’t all that bad considering I had a spectacular view of the golf, and got to do my favorite past time of people watching, and conversing with not-yet-met friends, everything was excellent. I started my meal off with some of their oysters, and then I had the catch of the day, which today was Swordfish with grits/okra under it. Kisses to the chef on all that.

Shout out to Roxy for taking care of me - Absolutely excellent food. So much better than the everything-fried tourist trap cuisine up the road. Really pro servers and staff. Gorgeous views of the harbor.

This place is the best option you have in Destin. The atmosphere is great. The decoration, outdoor patio, and outdoor bars are great. They don't take reservations. You need to go there and put your name down for the waitlist. We waited 45 min, but I didn't even understand how time passed since I was enjoying my drink on the outdoor patio.
We tried yellow tuna, the original, and the pan sauteed grouper. I must say the original was from heaven. The almonds, puree, and the juicyness of the fish were a great combo! The pan sauteed grouper was top-notch. I am still amazed how the chef balanced feta cheese, jam, and fish together.

The only negative experience was the hostess, she seemed miserable and unfriendly- so our first impression wasn't great. But then we went to the bar to grab a drink while we waited and ended up getting two seats at the bar so we ate there instead of waiting for our table. From this point on, I could not say enough good things about this restaurant! The service at the bar was insanely good- I wish I got the girls name (long blonde braid), she was the sweetest, most caring bartender/waitress we have ever had in our lives. We ordered the ribeye and blacked grouper catch of the day- incredibly impressed! The red potatoes and grits were amazing! The band outside was great- I wish they were in a more prominent spot so we could view them better, but they were entertaining. The atmosphere was great, we had the best night. We will visit this restaurant every time we're going through Destin.

Beautiful location, right on the water, views at almost every table. Quality, delicious food. Great service. LONG wait times, particularly if you go around dinner time - be prepared to be quoted 2-3 hour wait times, though it's almost always shorter (don't think we've ever waited more than an hour and a half).

Over our time there we've probably had all variations of the Snapper, Grouper, and Shrimp. Blackened Grouper with Grits and Greens is my personal favorite, while my husband loves the Snapper Pasta special. Fish had always been cooked perfectly, tender, and well seasoned. Only item we wouldn't order again is the appetizer of the Crab and Saltines - just doesn't hit the bar of the rest of the menu items we've had.

I highly recommend adding this to your rotation - plan to get there as early as reasonable, put in your name, and grab drinks and/or an appetizer at the bar. It's a delicious and beautiful place for a meal!

Super cool atmosphere inside and out this spot is right on the water and was a great experience. We started with the True Alabama feta dip which was delicious. Hot roasted garlic with olive oil and feta cheese. We also had Fried Calamari and Mini crab legs, delicious. Than we order grilled snapper, swordfish , golf grouper and smoked chicken all of them were so good. I really loved the swordfish, when I go back to Destin I will definitely eat a swordfish . For drinks, we had Sangria and beers. A cheesecake for dessert. This was a Birthday coming all the way from Jacksonville, FL but it was WORTH IT! Yes, is about 1 hour wait time and yes the menu is pricey but the food, atmosphere and service is all worth it. Kids were having a lot of fun, all of us had fun.

The food was top notch, one of the best tasting filet mignon we've had, the duck confit was unique and delicious, the grouper on the feta souffle was spot on. The chicken was bit over smoked to our liking, but the garlic mashed potatoes were excellent!

This was the best food we have had in Destin! Southern meets seafood and being from the south it was delicious! Our waiter was excellent. The bar tender was great too that we had while we waited. It was a long wait, but we expected that. If you don't want to watch 1.5+hrs go when they open. The atmosphere was great as well. Definitely a new spot to visit when in town. The waiters recommendations were on point as well.

Best snapper ever. Best collards greens mashed potatoes and grits were freaking amazing. It's a pricey restaurant but so worth it the food taste so damn good.
And had the fried grouper it was delicious.. the cook definitely knows what to do in the kitchen...worth every penny. Thanks for the perfect food .
