Delicious meal, based on fresh ingredients especially great seafood, fun cocktails (as fans of Depeche Mode we particularly like The Pêche Mode!), and excellent service. Yes, it's pricey, but this is Nantucket and American Seasons is a worthy landmark on the island. Highly recommended.

Fantastic spot right on the edge of the center of town. Service was superb--friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food was fantastic. Fish fresh and perfectly cooked, everything season nicely. Exactly what you hope for when eating out on Nantucket.

The food and service at American Seasons is always excellent! This is our date night place every summer. Try the burrata, the snow pea salad, the fluke and the ribeye!! The dishes were delicious, creative and we'll balanced. I'll be dreaming about how I could recreate them. The staff was friendly and calm amidst the 4th of July chaos of tourists in town. If you'd like a quiet meal with a significant other or group of friends this is your place!! A Nantucket classic that hasn't been ruined by the changing atmosphere on our beloved island. Bravo to the chef and the team!!

I had not been to American Seasons since it changed ownership. Last night I had a fantastic experience. The hostess was incredibly pleasant. I was immediately seated which I love. Now that restaurants seat people at the bar, it’s impossible to get a drink and it’s awkward hovering over the people dining at the bar. Being seated promptly is a plus.

The service was exceptional. It was evident that the staff enjoy working for the proprietors. All the staff were nicely dressed and well groomed. My waiter made me feel welcome, considering I was dining alone.

I ordered thw Hamachi and the Halibut and both were incredible! The flavors were excellent and the fish was super fresh.

Looking forward to my return visit.

Recently we had a family reunion on our favorite island, Nantucket. One of the highlights was celebrating all the milestones we missed last year at our favorite restaurant, American Seasons. From the new fresh, hip look to outstanding service from a very well trained staff to appetizers, meals and desserts that made us want to come back for more ! Half of the table had the halibut and the other half had the slow roast pork shoulder. They were both outstanding! For dessert we had to have one of each and they arrived with a candle on each as we sang Happy Bday to everyone at the table several times to make up for a tough year. The staff was beyond delight as they participated with our fun. Chef and owner Neil was attentive to details and you could tell that each dish was prepared with thought and perfection. What a winning combination and a treat to see him at the end our our meal.

Simply phenomenal. We are on our honeymoon, and were gifted a gift certificate from someone who highly recommended this restaurant to us.

Drinks, appetizer, dinner, and dessert could not have been better. The staff was as hospitable as we could have imagined during our visit. Highly recommend this restaurant!

It doesn't get much better. The service was timely, polite, and doting, the food was outstanding, and the setting intimate and comfortable. We had the duck and the venison, with appetizers of scallops, butternut squash "caramelle," and roasted cauliflower soup -- all of it amazing. Great cocktail assortment, and a wonderful wine. Truly a "must do" on the island.

AS is my FAVORITE restaurant on the island. Service and food are consistently fabulous. Portions are enough for two to share, which makes for a great self-directed tasting menu! They also offer some half-bottle format wines, which is a lovely option. I could go on and on, however, make your reservation and enjoy for yourself!

American Seasons has a very consistently, great menu. We had our rehearsal dinner on the garden patio (under different ownership) 2 years ago and the setting is beautiful. We've been back a few times with the new owners and it does not disappoint. The bar is also great to pop in for a drink and a snack or full meal.

Service and food is always consistently amazing at American Seasons. The waitstaff is pleasant, funny, and knowledgeable. The drinks are fabulous, and I recommend the Fool’s Gold. I love coming here for the warm, romantic environment with friends or my husband, and for the food which is creative and delicious.

American Seasons is by far our favorite restaurant in Nantucket! The food is just outstanding. Highlight dishes are the Roasted sea scallops, Chicken Liver-Foie Gras Parfait, Honey Roasted Halibut, Salmon Filet, and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. This restaurant has so much charm, close proximity to downtown, and love the overall vibe there. We love it here and is definitely a must-do when we're on the island. Five Stars!

Exceptional experience. Unique plates, carefully created with expertly-married and coupled textures and flavors. Wonderful service by Chris. He knew the menu inside and out, and shared preparation methods and his enthusiasm for the dishes. Thumbs up, 5 stars, and not absorbenently priced. Also great drink selection with unique liquors and bar concoctions. Loved it!

We've know the humble and incredibly talented chef at American Seasons for more than a decade. In our opinion Neil Ferguson is simply one of the best chefs in the USA today. The best ingredients, combined with the talent and razor sharp skills of a master chef lead to nuanced dishes with fantastic flavors where nothing is lost in the mix. He just gets better and better. Highly recommended.

A classic nantucket favorite. Neil and staff make a strong standard fair and great cocktails. Great solid food and drink. Stick toffee pudding is a must have.

To look at the artfully designed entrees at American Seasons, you might assume that you are about to eat a simple dish of soup or protein and vegetables, but you will quickly, pleasantly discover that you are mistaken. I have never had a meal anywhere like the pure delight I experienced at this restaurant. Every bite was a surprise as the flavors kept changing with the addition of sauces, pesto and puree cleverly arranged around the meal. Truly worth its weight in gold!

Our summer kitchen. So, So, So love everything that comes out of the chef's kitchen. The service, everything. Guess that's why you'll find us dining here several times a week during the glorious Summer months. Good wine selection. Comfy atmosphere. 5 Stars all the way.

This place was great. Went there on stroll and they were able to fit us in early. The atmosphere was warm and the food was delicious. Even though it was busy the service was smooth and it wasn't too loud inside. We'll definitely be back.

Ate here on my honeymoon with my wife during Restaurant Week. All of the food was pared together quite well and delighted my mouth! While the portion size initially scared me, it was worth every bite and left me satisfied.
